• Can I use WCF in this case?

  We have a third party application that provied its web services to us by ASMX and it is created at the time of .NET 1.1 in the old days we were using VB 6.0 and connected to it by a PocketSOAP, etc... bt now we want to replace the VB 6.0 with C# 3.5 WinApps and still use that third party web services. so I wish to know what are my options for doing this? which one do you recommend and which one has a faster learning curve?   Hi Guys I am finding the solution for my application. I create an iphone application have 3 screen: First screen not contain any tab bar. Second screen have 2 tab bar item.   I wanted to know if I can change my open ID url from say: www.abc.com/username to www.pqr.com/username while the relying party still thinks I am the same user? or even say: www.abc.com/something/username to www.abc.com/somethingelse/username I intuitively think that this is not possible since if it were, then it is possible for anyone to spoof anyone else's identity. Also, does Open ID specify which fields the relying party should use to ensure secure determination of the user's identity? For example, I would expect it to club the URL provided with the username/email address sent back by the Open ID server.

  I have a set of tables to show the relationship between organziations and supporters below. Although I have done some basic mySQL querries, I know very little about database 'design'. I plan to querry the database for: -a list of contributors to a specific organization... or, -a list of organizations that a specific suporter supports. The database tables for organiations and contributors may have other columns in the future and recieve a lesser amount of querries based on that information. The method notifyAll() works in the same way as notify(), only it sends the signal to all of the threads waiting on the object.... • Cannot start session without errors in phpMyAdmin running Nginx with PHP-FPM

  Whenever I open phpMyAdmin from my VPS I get the following error: Cannot start session without errors, please check errors given in your PHP and/or webserver log file and configure your PHP installation properly. I have researched it, but cant seem to find a solution, I have done the following: Cleared cache and cookies Checked the php.ini (see below) Checked the logs (found nothing relevant) Given the correct permissions. [by sudo chown -R root:nginx /home/humza/pma] I am running Nginx with PHP-FPM, I have php-mysql and all that working fine but I can't get phpMyAdmin to work.   Thanks to Lifehacker I came across Sikuli which is described as: Sikuli is a visual technology to search and automate graphical user interfaces (GUI) using images (screenshots). The first release of Sikuli contains Sikuli Script, a visual scripting API for Jython, and Sikuli IDE, an integrated development environment for writing visual scripts with screenshots easily. Sikuli Script automates anything you see on the screen without internal API's support. You can programmatically control a web page, a desktop application running on Windows/Linux/Mac OS X, or even an iphone application running in an emulator. As this looks very promising, perhaps complementary to AutoHotKey I'm curious what scripts you guys will come up with. Especially since this program is portable and could solve "simple" Super User problems.   From an answer I gave to another question: There are comment filtering services out there that can analyse comments in a manner similar to mail spam filters (all links to the client API page, organised from simplest API to most complex): Steve Kemp (again) has an xml-rpc-based comment filter: it's how Debian filters comments, and the code is free software, meaning you can run your own comment filtering server if you like; There's Akismet, which is from the WordPress universe; There's Mollom, which has an impressive list of users. It's closed source; it might say "not sure" about comments, intended to suggest offering a captcha to check the user. For myself, I'm happy with offline by-hand filtering, but I suggested Kemp's service to someone who had an underwhelming experience with Mollom, and I'd like to pass on more reports from anyone who has tried these or other services.

• Compiling zip component for PHP 5.2.11 in MAMP PRO

  Helo I installed MAMP PRO on my Macbook Pro (10.6) some time ago. Now I would like to use zip functions in php. I found that I must add zip.so to my extension folder and edited php.ini. On my computer I have two different versions of PHP one in MAMP folder and other in user/lib which was pre-installed on my system. Now I wish to compile my zip library for MAMP version. I got zip sources for my version of PHP then in terminal called function /Applications/MAMP/bin/php5/bin/phpize so it uses mamp php version ./configure make then I moved compile zip.so to extensions/no-debug-non-zts-20060613. When MAMP is launched it returns this error: [11-Apr-2010 16:33:27] PHP Warning: PHP Startup: zip: Unable to initialize module Module compiled with module API=20090626, debug=0, thread-safety=0 PHP compiled with module API=20060613, debug=0, thread-safety=0 These options need to match in Unknown on line 0 Can some body explain to me how to do this the right way.

The token is a guid in the format aaaaaaaa-bbbb-cccc-dddd-eeeeeeeeeeee. After conversion I find that there is an API specific macro defined in the project properties in the "Linker|General|Additional Library Directories" category. 'Method Not Allowed'. The remote server returned an error: (405) Method Not Allowed.. Regarding the Authenticated Feed, what credentials are they and where do I specify them and why is the Public Feed not working?

• Using AHK PostMessage to send WM_WININICHANGE to Program Manager

  I've written a script which updates an environment variable, but I need to tell Program Manager to update the computer's programs with this new information. I was given this as the API call that is made within another program to cause this: ::SendMessage(::FindWindow("Progman", NULL), WM_WININICHANGE, 0L, (LPARAM)"Environment"); I am attempting to translate this into an AutoHotKey PostMessage call, but I'm doing something wrong, as it isn't working. Here's where I've gotten so far: PostMessage, 0x1A,, (LPARAM)"Environment", "Program Manager" Here are the AHK resources I've been looking at to do this: List of Windows Messages Send Messages to a Window or Its Controls PostMessage / SendMessage And here are the resources that I used to figure out the original API call: SendMessage function WM_WININICHANGE message Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong?
