  • How to enable error log in lighttpd properly?

    - by Tomaszs
    I have a Centos 5 system with Lighttpd and fastcgi enabled. It does log access but does not log errors. I have Internal Server Error 500 and no info in log and when I try to open not -existing file also - no info in error log. How to enable it properly? Below is list of modules that I've enabled: server.modules = ( "mod_rewrite", "mod_redirect", "mod_alias", # "mod_access", # "mod_cml", # "mod_trigger_b4_dl", # "mod_auth", "mod_status", "mod_setenv", "mod_fastcgi", # "mod_webdav", # "mod_proxy_core", # "mod_proxy_backend_fastcgi", # "mod_proxy_backend_scgi", # "mod_proxy_backend_ajp13", # "mod_simple_vhost", # "mod_evhost", # "mod_userdir", # "mod_cgi", # "mod_compress", # "mod_ssi", # "mod_usertrack", # "mod_expire", # "mod_secdownload", # "mod_rrdtool", "mod_accesslog" ) Here are setting of debugging: ## enable debugging #debug.log-request-header = "enable" #debug.log-response-header = "enable" #debug.log-request-handling = "enable" debug.log-file-not-found = "enable" #debug.log-condition-handling = "enable" Setting of path to error and access log: ## where to send error-messages to server.errorlog = "/home/lxadmin/httpd/lighttpd/error.log" #### accesslog module accesslog.filename = "/home/lxadmin/httpd/lighttpd/ligh.log" Settings of fastcgi: fastcgi.debug = 1 fastcgi.server = ( ".php" => (( "bin-path" => "/usr/bin/php-cgi", "socket" => "/tmp/php.socket", "max-procs" => 12, "bin-environment" => ( "PHP_FCGI_CHILDREN" => "2", "PHP_FCGI_MAX_REQUESTS" => "500" ) ))) And in included config file I have: server.errorlog = "/home/httpd/mywebsite.com/stats/mywebsite.com-error_log" What comes to log files: /home/httpd/mywebsite.com/stats/ -rw-r--r-- 1 apache apache 5173239 May 16 11:34 mywebsite.com-custom_log -rwxrwxrwx 1 root root 0 Mar 27 2009 mywebsite.com-error_log /home/lxadmin/httpd/lighttpd/ -rwxrwxrwx 1 apache apache 2184 Apr 22 22:59 error.log -rwxrwxrwx 1 apache apache 6088621 May 16 11:26 ligh.log I gave error logs chmod 777 for a try to check if it's the issue, but apparently it's not. So my question is: what to do to have error log enabled?

  • Apache2.2 not responding on Windows 7 desktop

    - by Adam
Afternoon! I'm having some trouble with Apache2.2 on Windows 7. For over a year it's been running no problem, but all of a sudden requests have just stopped responding. They don't ever time out, the browser just keeps on waiting for a response, which makes me think it's something blocking communication with Apache. Interestingly though, if I stop Apache the requests fail immediately. The Apache service is running, and using netstat I can see it listening on port 80 as configured: TCP 127.0.0.1:80 0.0.0.0:0 LISTENING If I stop the Apache service, that line disappears. I have an entry within my hosts file for each VHost I'm trying, all pointing to 127.0.0.1. Each VHost is configured to *:80. Nothing however is getting recorded in the access or error (at debug level) log files. I've verified the file paths are correct, even though they were never changed. Neither is anything getting recorded within Windows' Event Log. The problem showed up when I added a new VHost and restarted, however I hadn't been using it for a couple of days prior so I don't believe it's the config change. I have performed a syntax check to be sure, and when starting from the command prompt no errors are reported there. I do have Windows Firewall running, however I've verified the Apache rule is correct and tried turning it off to ensure that wasn't the problem. I've reinstalled Apache, in the hope it might magically fix something using the default config, but still no joy. I've also tried using a different port. I'm completely lost for ideas now. Can anybody help? Cheers Adam

  • Using mod_rewrite to mask /cgi-bin/abc as /def

    - by Alois Mahdal
I have a seemingly easy task, but somehow I just can't get it to work: Some interesting lines from my httpd.conf: ... DocumentRoot "D:/opt/apache/htdocs" ... ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/ "D:/opt/apache/cgi-bin/" ... <Directory "D:/opt/apache/htdocs"> Options Indexes FollowSymLinks ExecCGI AllowOverride None Order allow, deny Allow from all </Directory> <Directory "D:/opt/apache/cgi-bin/"> AllowOverride None Options ExecCGI Order allow, deny Allow from all </Directory> (I know it's dumb but it's only a testing machine :D.) Now, I have d:\opt\apache\cgi-bin\expired.pl and I expect GET /licensecheck.php?code=123456. And I wish to fake client into thinking it speaks with /licensecheck.php, but actually return data by \expired.pl. What I tried was setting following at the end of http.conf: RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^/licensecheck.php$ /cgi-bin/expired.pl [T=application/x-httpd-cgi,L] ...but it keeps 404-ing me, looking for cgi-bin directory (not cgi-bin\expired.pl) in my DocumentRoot! [error] [client 127.0.0.1] script not found or unable to stat: D:/opt/apache/htdocs/cgi-bin /cgi-bin/expired.pl and all other scripts in /cgi-bin/ work as expected, Only way I could make it work was actually putting the \expired.pl to DocumentRoot, but I don't want this, I want my cgi-bin neatly separated :)

  • How can I use HAproxy with SSL and get X-Forwarded-For headers AND tell PHP that SSL is in use?

    - by Josh
I have the following setup: (internet) ---> [ pfSense Box ] /-> [ Apache / PHP server ] [running HAproxy] --+--> [ Apache / PHP server ] +--> [ Apache / PHP server ] \-> [ Apache / PHP server ] For HTTP requests this works great, requests are distributed to my Apache servers just fine. For SSL requests, I had HAproxy distributing the requests using TCP load balancing, and it worked however since HAproxy didn't act as a proxy, it didn't add the X-Forwarded-For HTTP header, and the Apache / PHP servers didn't know the client's real IP address. So, I added stunnel in front of HAproxy, reading that stunnel could add the X-Forwarded-For HTTP header. However, the package which I could install into pfSense does not add this header... also, this apparently kills my ability to use KeepAlive requests, which I would really like to keep. But the biggest issue which killed that idea was that stunnel converted the HTTPS requests into plain HTTP requests, so PHP didn't know that SSL was enabled and tried to redirect to the SSL site. How can I use HAproxy to load balance across a number of SSL servers, allowing those servers to both know the client's IP address and know that SSL is in use? And if possible, how can I do it on my pfSense server? Or should I drop all this and just use nginx?

  • CPANEL ModSec2 not working with SecFilterSelective

    - by jfreak53
Ok, I have cPanel/WHM latest on a Dedi, here are my specs on apache: Server version: Apache/2.2.23 (Unix) Server built: Oct 13 2012 19:33:23 Cpanel::Easy::Apache v3.14.13 rev9999 I just ran a re-compile using easyapache as you can see by the date. When running it I made sure that ModSec was selected and it stated in big bold letters something to the effect of If you install Apache 2.2.x you get ModSec 2 So I believed it :) I recompiled, I then ran: grep -i release /home/cpeasyapache/src/modsecurity-apache_2.6.8/apache2/mod_security2.c Hmm, the file is there but grep doesn't output anything, if I run: grep -i release /home/cpeasyapache/src/modsecurity-apache_1.9.5/apache2/mod_security.c I of course get the ModSec 1 version output. But the thing is that ModSec2 is installed since the c file is there. So I continued and put the following in modsec2.user.conf: SecFilterScanOutput On SecFilterSelective OUTPUT "text" Now when I restart Apache I get this error: Syntax error on line 1087 of /usr/local/apache/conf/modsec2.user.conf: Invalid command 'SecFilterScanOutput', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration Now supposedly this is supposed to work, I even have it running in ModSec2 on a non-cpanel server setup manually. So I know ModSec2 supports it. Anyone have any ideas? I have asked this question over at cpanel forum and it got nowhere.

  • Javascript self contained sandbox events and client side stack

    - by amnon
I'm in the process of moving a JSF heavy web application to a REST and mainly JS module application . I've watched "scalable javascript application architecture" by Nicholas Zakas on yui theater (excellent video) and implemented much of the talk with good success but i have some questions : I found the lecture a little confusing in regards to the relationship between modules and sandboxes , on one had to my understanding modules should not be effected by something happening outside of their sandbox and this is why they publish events via the sandbox (and not via the core as they do access the core for hiding base libary) but each module in the application gets a new sandbox ? , shouldn't the sandbox limit events to the modoules using it ? or should events be published cross page ? e.g. : if i have two editable tables but i want to contain each one in a different sandbox and it's events effect only the modules inside that sandbox something like messabe box per table which is a different module/widget how can i do that with sandbox per module , ofcourse i can prefix the events with the moduleid but that creates coupling that i want to avoid ... and i don't want to package modules toghter as one module per combination as i already have 6-7 modules ? while i can hide the base library for small things like id selector etc.. i would still like to use the base library for module dependencies and resource loading and use something like yui loader or dojo.require so in fact i'm hiding the base library but the modules themself are defined and loaded by the base library ... seems a little strange to me libraries don't return simple js objects but usualy wrap them e.g. : u can do something like $$('.classname').each(.. which cleans the code alot , it makes no sense to wrap the base and then in the module create a dependency for the base library by executing .each but not using those features makes a lot of code written which can be left out ... and implemnting that functionality is very bug prone does anyonen have any experience with building a front side stack of this order ? how easy is it to change a base library and/or have modules from different libraries , using yui datatable but doing form validation with dojo ... ? some what of a combination of 2+4 if u choose to do something like i said and load dojo form validation widgets for inputs via yui loader would that mean dojocore is a module and the form module is dependant on it ? Thanks .

  • GeoIP and Nginx

    - by JavierMartinez
    I have a nginx with geoip, but it is not working rightly. The issue is the next: Nginx are getting geodata from $_SERVER['REMOTE_ADDR'] instead of $_SERVER['HTTP_X_HAPROXY_IP'], which have the real client ip. So, the reported geodata belongs to my server ip instead of client ip. Does anybody where could be the error to fix it? Nginx version and compiled modules: nginx -V nginx version: nginx/1.2.3 TLS SNI support enabled configure arguments: --prefix=/etc/nginx --conf-path=/etc/nginx/nginx.conf --error-log- path=/var/log/nginx/error.log --http-client-body-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/body --http-fastcgi-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/fastcgi --http-log-path=/var/log/nginx/access.log --http-proxy-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/proxy --http-scgi-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/scgi --http-uwsgi-temp-path=/var/lib/nginx/uwsgi --lock-path=/var/lock/nginx.lock --pid-path=/var/run/nginx.pid --with-pcre-jit --with-debug --with-file-aio --with-http_addition_module --with-http_dav_module --with-http_geoip_module --with-http_gzip_static_module --with-http_image_filter_module --with-http_realip_module --with-http_secure_link_module --with-http_stub_status_module --with-http_ssl_module --with-http_sub_module --with-http_xslt_module --with-ipv6 --with-sha1=/usr/include/openssl --with-md5=/usr/include/openssl --with-mail --with-mail_ssl_module --add-module=/usr/src/nginx/source/nginx-1.2.3/debian/modules/nginx-auth-pam --add-module=/usr/src/nginx/source/nginx-1.2.3/debian/modules/nginx-echo --add-module=/usr/src/nginx/source/nginx-1.2.3/debian/modules/nginx-upstream-fair --add-module=/usr/src/nginx/source/nginx-1.2.3/debian/modules/nginx-dav-ext-module --add-module=/usr/src/nginx/source/nginx-1.2.3/debian/modules/nginx-syslog --add-module=/usr/src/nginx/source/nginx-1.2.3/debian/modules/nginx-cache-purge nginx site conf (frontend machine) server { root /var/www/storage; server_name ~^.*(\.)?mydomain.com$; if ($host ~ ^(.*)\.mydomain\.com$) { set $new_host $1.mydomain.com; } if ($host !~ ^(.*)\.mydomain\.com$) { set $new_host www.mydomain.com; } add_header Staging true; real_ip_header X-HAProxy-IP; set_real_ip_from 10.5.0.10/32; location /files { expires 30d; if ($uri !~ ^/files/([a-fA-F0-9]+)_(220|45)\.jpg$) { return 403; } rewrite ^/files/([a-fA-F0-9][a-fA-F0-9])([a-fA-F0-9][a-fA-F0-9])([a-fA-F0-9][a-fA-F0-9])([a-fA-F0-9][a-fA-F0-9])([a-fA-F0-9]+)_(220|45)\.jpg$ /files/$1/$2/$3/$4/$1$2$3$4$5_$6.jpg break; try_files $uri @to_backend; } location /assets { if ($uri ~ ^/assets/r([a-zA-Z0-9]+[^/])(/(css|js|fonts)/.*)) { rewrite ^/assets/r([a-zA-Z0-9]+[^/])/(css|js|fonts)/(.*)$ /assets/$2/$3 break; } try_files $uri @to_backend; } location / { proxy_set_header Host $new_host; proxy_set_header X-HAProxy-IP $remote_addr; proxy_pass http://10.5.0.10:8080; } location @to_backend { proxy_set_header Host $new_host; proxy_pass http://10.5.0.10:8080; } } nginx.conf (backend machine) http{ ... ## # GeoIP Config ## geoip_country /etc/nginx/geoip/GeoIP.dat; # the country IP database geoip_city /etc/nginx/geoip/GeoLiteCity.dat; # the city IP database ... } fastcgi_params (backend machine) ### SET GEOIP Variables ### fastcgi_param GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE $geoip_country_code; fastcgi_param GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE3 $geoip_country_code3; fastcgi_param GEOIP_COUNTRY_NAME $geoip_country_name; fastcgi_param GEOIP_CITY_COUNTRY_CODE $geoip_city_country_code; fastcgi_param GEOIP_CITY_COUNTRY_CODE3 $geoip_city_country_code3; fastcgi_param GEOIP_CITY_COUNTRY_NAME $geoip_city_country_name; fastcgi_param GEOIP_REGION $geoip_region; fastcgi_param GEOIP_CITY $geoip_city; fastcgi_param GEOIP_POSTAL_CODE $geoip_postal_code; fastcgi_param GEOIP_CITY_CONTINENT_CODE $geoip_city_continent_code; fastcgi_param GEOIP_LATITUDE $geoip_latitude; fastcgi_param GEOIP_LONGITUDE $geoip_longitude; haproxy.conf (frontend machine) defaults log global option forwardfor option httpclose mode http retries 3 option redispatch maxconn 4096 contimeout 100000 clitimeout 100000 srvtimeout 100000 listen cluster_webs *:8080 mode http option tcpka option httpchk option httpclose option forwardfor balance roundrobin server backend-stage 10.5.0.11:80 weight 1 $_SERVER dump: http://paste.laravel.com/7dy Where 10.5.0.10 is frontend private ip and 10.5.0.11 backend private ip

  • Download a file with DefaultHTTPClient and preemptive authentication

    - by Nils
After I had a lot of problems with preemptive authentication , I got it finally working. Now the next problem. I want to get a file with it, but I don't know how. I thought the file data might be in the variable response, but it isn't. Any ideas how this might work? I see in analytics that lots of startups and click-events the past few days are lost, even I know the traffic is normal since i can see statistics from the the server api. In the analytics reports I see a day by day under-reporting. So the problems seems to be spreading/growing to all the devices using this application. Im wondering why google does not answer this in their mail-groups - several people have complained about this...well, well... I found this thread relevant: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/682560/java-net-socketexception-broken-pipe But, I'm still not sure if there is anything I can do to fix it or not. If there is nothing I can do to fix it, I guess its not my fault that it got broken. But i got a feeling it is, since the problem got dramatically worse on the last deploy to Android market. Anyone else with experience on Google Analytics for android ?

  • High CPU from httpd process

    - by KHWeb
I am currently getting high CPU on a server that is just running a couple of sites with very low traffic. One of the sites is in still development going live soon. However, this site is very very slow...When browsing through its pages I can see that the CPU goes from 30% to 100% for httpd (see top output below). I have tuned httpd & MySQL, Apache Solr, Tomcat for high performance, and I am using APC. Not sure what to do from here or how to find the culprit as I have a bunch of messages on the httpd log and have been chasing dead ends for some time...any help is greatly appreciated. • Trying to install ffmpeg-php and having installation issues.

    - by dallasclark
I've installed ffmpeg successfully using the ffmpeginstaller 3 series (http://www.ffmpeginstaller.com/download). ffmpeg is working fine without any known issues with bash. The ffmpeginstaller is meant to install ffmpeg-php but it cannot be found and I receive an error when I execute php -v PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/usr/lib64/php/modules/ffmpeg.so' - /usr/lib64/php/modules/ffmpeg.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory in Unknown on line 0 Looking at the '/usr/lib64/php/modules/' folder, it doesn't contain the ffmpeg.so file. I've tried to install ffmpeg-php manually but I receive the following error checking for ffmpeg headers... configure: error: ffmpeg headers not found. Make sure you've built ffmpeg as shared libs using the --enable-shared option Should I install ffmpeg with series 4 or 5 of ffmpeginstaller or does someone know how to fix this issue? • multiple webapps in tomcat -- what is the optimal architecture?

    - by rvdb
I am maintaining a growing base of mainly Cocoon-2.1-based web applications [http://cocoon.apache.org/2.1/], deployed in a Tomcat servlet container [http://tomcat.apache.org/], and proxied with an Apache http server [http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/]. I am conceptually struggling with the best way to deploy multiple web applications in Tomcat. Since I'm not a Java programmer and we don't have any sysadmin staff I have to figure out myself what is the most sensible way to do this. My setup has evolved through 2 scenarios and I'm considering a third for maximal separation of the distinct webapps. [1] 1 Tomcat instance, 1 Cocoon instance, multiple webapps -tomcat |_ webapps |_ webapp1 |_ webapp2 |_ webapp[n] |_ WEB-INF (with Cocoon libs) This was my first approach: just drop all web applications inside a single Cocoon webapps folder inside a single Tomcat container. This seemed to run fine, I did not encounter any memory issues. However, this poses a maintainability drawback, as some Cocoon components are subject to updates, which often affect the webapp coding. Hence, updating Cocoon becomes unwieldy: since all webapps share the same pool of Cocoon components, updating one of them would require the code in all web applications to be updated simultaneously. In order to isolate the web applications, I moved to the second scenario. [2] 1 Tomcat instance, each webapp in its dedicated Cocoon environment -tomcat |_ webapps |_ webapp1 | |_ WEB-INF (with Cocoon libs) |_ webapp1 | |_ WEB-INF (with Cocoon libs) |_ webapp[n] |_ WEB-INF (with Cocoon libs) This approach separates all webapps into their own Cocoon environment, run inside a single Tomcat container. In theory, this works fine: all webapps can be updated independently. However, this soon results in PermGenSpace errors. It seemed that I could manage the problem by increasing memory allocation for Tomcat, but I realise this isn't a structural solution, and that overloading a single Tomcat in this way is prone to future memory errors. This set me thinking about the third scenario. [3] multiple Tomcat instances, each with a single webapp in its dedicated Cocoon environment -tomcat |_ webapps |_ webapp1 |_ WEB-INF (with Cocoon libs) -tomcat |_ webapps |_ webapp2 |_ WEB-INF (with Cocoon libs) -tomcat |_ webapps |_ webapp[n] |_ WEB-INF (with Cocoon libs) I haven't tried this approach, but am thinking of the $CATALINA_BASE variable. A single Tomcat distribution can be multiply instanciated with different $CATALINA_BASE environments, each pointing to a Cocoon instance with its own webapp. I wonder whether such an approach could avoid the structural memory-related problems of approach [2], or will the same issues apply? On the other hand, this approach would complicate management of the Apache http frontend, as it will require the AJP connectors of the different Tomcat instances to be listening at different ports. Hence, Apache's worker configuration has to be updated and reloaded whenever a new webapp (in its own Tomcat instance) is added. And there seems no way to reload worker.properties without restarting the entire Apache http server. Is there perhaps another / more dynamic way of 'modularizing' multiple Tomcat-served webapps, or can one of these scenarios be refined? Any thoughts, suggestions, advice much appreciated. Ron

Good day to all; I'm developing a program using JSF2 and JPA2 (OpenJPA). Im also using IBM Rapid App Dev't v8 with WebSphere App Server v8 test server. I have two simple entities, Employee and Department. Each Department has many Employees and each Employee belongs to a Department (using deptno and workdept). My problem occurs when i tried to add a new employee and selecting a department from a combo box (using selectOneMenu - populated from Department table): when i run the program, the following error messages appeared: An Error Occurred: java.lang.NullPointerException Caused by: java.lang.NullPointerException - java.lang.NullPointerException I also tried to make another program using Deptno and Workdept as String instead of integer, still doesn't work. • gallery2 and nginx with rewrite return file not found for file name with space (or + sign in url)

    - by Vangel
I have setup nginx with gallery2 on an internal server. Everything works fine under apache2 which I checked first, it used to be on apache2 Problem is: gallery2 seems to generate url with + sign in it for file names/ images which had spaces in it so a file like "may report.jpg" becomes "may+report.jpg" The URL rewrite works but gallery2 throws an error for file not found. THis does not happen under apache2. Here is my nginx rewrite rule: location / { index main.php index.html; default_type text/html; # If the file exists as a static file serve it # directly without running all # the other rewite tests on it if (-f $request_filename) { break; } } location /v/ { # if ($request_uri !~ /main.php) # { rewrite ^/v/(.*)$ /main.php?g2_view=core.ShowItem&g2_path=$1 last; # } } location /d/ { if ($request_uri !~ /main.php) { rewrite ^/d/([0-9]+)-([0-9]+)/(.*)$ /main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=$1&g2_serialNumber=$2&g2_fileName=$3 last; } } location ~ \.php$ { fastcgi_pass 127.0.0.1:8889; fastcgi_index main.php; fastcgi_intercept_errors on; # to support 404s for PHP files not found fastcgi_param SCRIPT_FILENAME $document_root$fastcgi_script_name; include fastcgi_params; fastcgi_param SERVER_NAME $host; fastcgi_read_timeout 300; } the sit on its own works fine. only the images with spaces in file name do not display in album view and also when clicking the the image for full page view will throw this error Error (ERROR_MISSING_OBJECT) : Parent 103759 path report+april+456.flv in modules/core/classes/helpers/GalleryFileSystemEntityHelper_simple.class at line 98 (GalleryCoreApi::error) in modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi.class at line 1853 (GalleryFileSystemEntityHelper_simple::fetchChildIdByPathComponent) in modules/core/classes/helpers/GalleryFileSystemEntityHelper_simple.class at line 53 (GalleryCoreApi::fetchChildIdByPathComponent) in modules/core/classes/GalleryCoreApi.class at line 1804 (GalleryFileSystemEntityHelper_simple::fetchItemIdByPath) in modules/rewrite/classes/RewriteSimpleHelper.class at line 45 (GalleryCoreApi::fetchItemIdByPath) in ??? at line 0 (RewriteSimpleHelper::loadItemIdFromPath) in modules/rewrite/classes/RewriteUrlGenerator.class at line 103 in modules/rewrite/classes/parsers/modrewrite/ModRewriteUrlGenerator.class at line 37 (RewriteUrlGenerator::_onLoad) in init.inc at line 147 (ModRewriteUrlGenerator::initNavigation) in main.php at line 180 in main.php at line 94 in main.php at line 83 System Information Gallery version 2.2.4 PHP version 5.3.6 fpm-fcgi Webserver nginx/0.8.55 Database mysqli 5.0.95 Toolkits ImageMagick, Thumbnail, Gd Operating system Linux CentOS-55-64-minimal 2.6.18-274.18.1.el5 #1 SMP Thu Feb 9 12:45:44 EST 2012 x86_64 Browser Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) AppleWebKit/536.5 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/19.0.1084.52 Safari/536.5 In the report above there is usable system information if that helps. I know the nginx is old but it comes as default in centos repo and I am not sure if upgrading will fix the problem or break something else it seems gallery2 must map the + to space internally but why it's not doing so with nginx I can't tell. EDIT: I just verified that if I change the '+' sign to %20 then gallery2 works. but gallery2 is generating URL as +. I found a (maybe) related problem here for IIS7 and Gallery2 http://forums.asp.net/t/1431951.aspx EDIT2: Accessing the URL without rewrite and having the + sign works. Must be something to do with rewrite. Here is the relevant apache2 rule that might be of help RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /d/([0-9]+)-([0-9]+)/([^/?]+)(\?.|\ .) RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !/main\.php$ RewriteRule . /main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=%1&g2_serialNumber=%2&g2_fileName=%3 [QSA,L] RewriteCond %{THE_REQUEST} /v/([^?]+)(\?.|\ .) • Does log4net support zeroconf?

    - by urig
I've recently checked out Apache Chainsaw as a viewer for my log4net logs. One feature that struck me as interesting is zeroconf: http://logging.apache.org/log4j/companions/zeroconf/apidocs/org/apache/log4j/net/ZeroConfSocketHubAppender.html Does log4net support zeroconf for Apache Chainsaw to consume? Is there a log4net zeroconf appender like the Java ZeroConfSocketHubAppender?

  • How do I read the manifest file for a webapp running in apache tomcat?

    - by Nik Reiman
I have a webapp which contains a manifest file, in which I write the current version of my application during an ant build task. The manifest file is created correctly, but when I try to read it in during runtime, I get some strange side-effects. My code for reading in the manifest is something like this: InputStream manifestStream = Thread.currentThread() .getContextClassLoader() .getResourceAsStream("META-INFFFF/MANIFEST.MF"); try { Manifest manifest = new Manifest(manifestStream); Attributes attributes = manifest.getMainAttributes(); String impVersion = attributes.getValue("Implementation-Version"); mVersionString = impVersion; } catch(IOException ex) { logger.warn("Error while reading version: " + ex.getMessage()); } When I attach eclipse to tomcat, I see that the above code works, but it seems to get a different manifest file than the one I expected, which I can tell because the ant version and build timestamp are both different. Then, I put "META-INFFFF" in there, and the above code still works! This means that I'm reading some other manifest, not mine. I also tried this.getClass().getClassLoader().getResourceAsStream(...) But the result was the same. What's the proper way to read the manifest file from inside of a webapp running in tomcat? Edit: Thanks for the suggestions so far. Also, I should note that I am running tomcat standalone; I launch it from the command line, and then attach to the running instance in Eclipse's debugger. That shouldn't make a difference, should it?

  • List total memusage by 32bit programs and 64bit programs

    - by egon
How to get the total amount of memory used by 32bit applications and 64bit applications from the command line in Windows. I tried using tasklist /FI "MODULES eq wow64.dll" /FO CSV and then parsing the output and summing. But tasklist just freezes with any command that has something to do with modules (tasklist /m and tasklist /fi "modules eq wow64.dll" freeze). Are there any alternatives? Or some idea why tasklist freezes.

  • Junit (3.8.1) testing that an exception is thrown (works in unit test, fails when added to a testSui

    - by Mike Cargal
I'm trying to test that I'm throwing an exception when appropriate. In my test class I have a method similar to the following: public void testParseException() { try { ClientEntitySingleton.getInstance(); fail("should have thrown exception."); } catch (RuntimeException re) { assertEquals( "<exception message>", re.getMessage()); } } This works fine (green bar) whenever I run that single unitTest class. However, when I add that test to a testSuite, I get a red bar Unit test failure reported on the exception. One more thing... it works in the testSuite, if it's the first test in the suite. Actually, I'm doing two of these tests and just figured out that if I make them the first two tests in the suite, all is good, but I get this failure if a "regular" test precedes it. So I have a work-around, but no real answer. Any ideas?
