• How to connect to DB2 when the password ends with '!' in Windows

  I am facing a problem to use the DB2 tools when using generic account with a generated password which ends with the Bang sign '!' to connect to DB2 database. I am not allowed to change the password because it is already used by other processes. I know the user is valid and I can connect to the database with its credentials, but not from all db2 tools. When using the Control Center it is okay. When using the Command Editor (GUI) or the Command Windows, I got this error message: connect to WAREHOUS user administrator using ! SQL0104N An unexpected token "!" was found following "<identifier>". Expected tokens may include: "NEW". SQLSTATE=42601 Let's say that my password is: pass@! I am trying to use c:\>db2 connect to sample user administrator using "pass@!" or c:\>db2 connect to sample user administrator using pass@! And it both cases I got the same error message. I could change the way I connect but it is not useful for me, for example: c:\>db2 connect to sample user administrator Enter current password for administrator: But I cannot use it from a batch file easily. I would like to know how can I connect from the Command Editor, in order to use this user from the Graphical Tools. BTW, I know that the Control Center is deprecated.

• Can't get php+sqlite working

  Hi, everyone I'm struggling all morning to make php work with an sqlite database. Sql is being executed and I can see a new row appear in the database. When I execute the same script from a browser - sql is not being executed. I don't get a new row in the database. There are no errors in the apache log file. Please, help

• DirectAccess client can't connect

  I've set up a DirectAccess server on Windows Server 2012 at my workplace. I'm using a Windows 8 Enterprise client to connect to it. It works fine over a mobile connection, but it fails when connecting from home. I've ruled out the firewall/router as the culprit as the issues persist when connecting the laptop directly to the cable modem. I'm not sure where to begin to debug this, does anyone have any pointers? Both Teredo and IPHTTPS interfaces are up (although as the server is behind a NAT and we only have 1 public IP I understand that IPHTTPS is the only protocol that will be used). • How to add NT Virtual Machine\Virtual Machines to GPO

  I have a Windows 2012 Server with Hyper-V enabled and a few virtual machines. My current configuration has a few account in the "Log on as a service" list in the domain policies, and sometimes this prevent my virtual machines from starting (I get this error: 'Error 0x80070569 ('VM_NAME' failed to start worker process: Logon Failure: The user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer.') As described in this KB I would like to add NT Virtual Machine\Virtual Machines to my "Log on as a service" list to resolve my problem. My problem is that when I try to add that user to my domain policy I get an error message: "The following account could not be validated". My domain controller obviously doesn't know about that user since it's not an Hyper-V enabled server. How can I add that account to my Domain Policies?

• Cannot start serial over lan on iDrac6

  I have a couple of Dell R610/R710 servers loaded with iDrac6 system management boards. I figured out how to log into the SM CLP with ssh. • Why am I getting warnings about missing DLLs when adding a node to a WSFC?

  We're getting the following two errors when adding a node to our WSFC. The node was added successfully, but the 'SQL Server Availability Group' resource type could not be installed on it. Unable to find 'hadrres.dll' on any of the cluster nodes. The node was added successfully, but the 'SQL Server FILESTREAM Share' resource type could not be installed on it. Unable to find 'fssres.dll' on any of the cluster nodes. This cluster is going to host an AlwaysOn Availability Group. SQL Server 2012 is installed on both nodes, and availability groups are enabled on both. Filestream access is also configured on both. Another curious thing I'm seeing is that my instance on the second node doesn't appear in Configuration Manager. Anyone know what may be going on here?

  I built an asp.net application that sends text messages to our employees using carrier-provided email to SMS gateways.   I am running Windows 8, 64 bit and have SQL Server 2012 installed. I downloaded the client tools, looked in the directory for SQL Server Management Studio, and see it's there. When I try to run SQL Management Studio I receive the error message: "Cannot find one or more components. Please reinstall application". This problem just started. I have reinstalled the application and downloaded the service packs. The shortcut key shows the path but it still will not run.

  I read about the CRIME attack against TLS Compression (CRIME is a successor to the BEAST attack against ssl & tls), and I want to protect my webservers against this attack by disabling SSL Compression, which was added to Apache 2.2.22 (See Bug 53219). I am running Scientific Linux 6.1, which ships with httpd-2.2.15. • High Tq values for HAProxy

  I just took over administration of a new environment. A known issue is that the environment is known for high response times (20+ seconds), so I figured I'd turn on haproxy logging and see what is going on. I figured I'd see slow load times in the app servers, but I'm actually seeing high Tq values in HAProxy. The HAProxy is on EC2 and is NOT behind ELB. Not all the Tq's are high (1+ seconds), but a good percentage of them are (approx 35%). Normally when I see this behavior, I'd expect there to be network issues, but this is an incredibly high percentage of visitors to be having an issue like this, so I'm wondering if anybody has seen this or have any hints on diagnosing if the issue could possibly be on this box?

  I’ve been trying everything; this is the last chance I have. I moved folders and files from an old Windows Server 2003 File Server to a new FS (Win Server 2008 R2) with DFS and ABE enabled. Now, a specific Shared Excel file is driving me crazy, out of a sudden, lots of times per day, users are getting the following error while opening that file: Filename.xlsx is locked for editing by ‘another user’. Open ‘Read-Only’ or, click ‘Notify’ to open.. I’ve already followed this, with no joy: http://blogs.technet.com/b/the_microsoft_excel_support_team_blog/archive/2012/05/14/the-definitive-locked-file-post.aspx In any case, I strongly think this is not client-related, since it never gave that problem in the past with Windows Server 2003. I’ve found and followed many other solutions, nothing. The users are all utilizing Office 2010 on Windows 7 machines, besides a few users who are still on Windows XP machines. After applying the latest round of updates (including Root Certificates for April 2012 KB931125 (See:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/933430/)), EAP authentication is failing due to being malformed. Sample error (Security/Event ID 6273), truncated for brevity: Authentication Details: Proxy Policy Name: Use Windows authentication for all users Network Policy Name: Wireless Access Authentication Provider: Windows Authentication Server: nps-host.corp.contoso.com Authentication Type: PEAP EAP Type: - Account Session Identifier: - Reason Code: 266 Reason: The message received was unexpected or badly formatted. The NPS policy (Wireless Access) is configured accordingly (for Constraints/Authentication methods) EAP Types: Microsoft: Protected EAP (PEAP) - with a valid certificate from ADCS Microsoft: Secured password (EAP-MSCHAP v2) Less secure authentication methods: Microsoft Encrypted Authentication version 2 (MS-CHAP-v2) User can change password after it has expired Microsoft Encrypted Authentication (MS-CHAP) User can change password after it has expired We've tested a different RADIUS server without the aforementioned patch, and removed EAP as an authentication type and experienced success. • Reading a POP3 server with only TcpClient and StreamWriter/StreamReader[SOLVED]

  I'm trying to read mails from my live.com account, via the POP3 protocol. I've found the the server is pop3.live.com and the port if 995. I'm not planning on using a pre-made library, I'm using NetworkStream and StreamReader/StreamWriter for the job. I need to figure this out. So, any of the answers given here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/44383/reading-email-using-pop3-in-c are not usefull. It's part of a larger program, but I made a small test to see if it works. Eitherway, i'm not getting anything. Here's the code I'm using, which I think should be correct. So far I got to the stage where everything works exactly as it is supposed to, except for the PubNub code which doesn't serialize the object I'm passing for publishing into JSON. All I keep getting in the PubNub console is a mere {} - an empty JSON object. A little background on the project structure: I am using Sharpamp which is a custom library that enables making Winamp plugins with C#. I am also using the PubNub C# API. The gen_notifier_cs project is the C++ plugin wrapper created by Sharpamp. notifier_cs is where all my code resides. The two other projects are self explanatory I assume. I have referenced the PubNub API in notifier_cs, and also have referenced Sharpamp in both notifier_cs and PubNub API. So, the objects that need to get serialized are of a class Song as defined in Sharpamp: public class Song { public string Title { get; internal set; } public string Artist { get; internal set; } public string Album { get; internal set; } public string Year { get; internal set; } public bool HasMetadata { get; internal set; } public string Filename { get; internal set; } } So let's say if I have a song object with song data in it, I would go pubnub.publish("winamp_pipe", song); to publish it and PubNub will automatically serialize the data into JSON. But that's just not working in my solution. To test why it wasn't serializing, I copied that class to the example code file in the PubNub API. Visual Studio changed the class to this (notice the public Song() method): public class Song { public Song() { return; } public string Album { get; set; } public string Artist { get; set; } public string Filename { get; set; } public bool HasMetadata { get; set; } public string Title { get; set; } public string Year { get; set; } } On the same example file I initiated a default song object with some values: Song song = new Song(); song.Album = "albumname"; song.Artist = "artistname"; song.HasMetadata = true; song.Title = "songtitle"; song.Year = "2012"; And published it: pubnub.publish("winamp_pipe", song); and it worked! I got the JSON object in the PubNub channel! {"Album":"albumname","Artist":"artistname","Filename":null,"HasMetadata":true,"Title":"songtitle","Year":"2012"} So, I tried replacing the "new" Song class with the original one defined in Sharpamp. I tried adding another class definition in the notifier_cs project but that clashes with the one in Sharpamp which I have to rely on. I have been trying so many things as far as I could come up with. Needless to say none prevailed. Still, all I get is an empty JSON object. I have been pulling out my hair for the last day. I know this post is super long but I appreciate your input nonetheless.   I'm getting a new laptop this Christmas and I was wondering if it's good enough for what I do. I'll be playing games like Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012) and other NFS games. • Operation not permitted when starting Unicorn

  I've created an nginx/unicorn/capistrato setup on Ubuntu (Amazon EC2) by following mostly this guide. I guess everything is set up like it should but when I start Unicorn I get (a LOT of) this error in the log: E, [2012-09-08T08:57:20.658092 #12356] ERROR -- : Operation not permitted (Errno::EPERM) /home/deployer/apps/bridgekalenderen.no/shared/bundle/ruby/1.9.1/gems/unicorn-4.3.1/lib/unicorn/worker.rb:82:in `initgroups' I see it's related to the user's permissions but I just can't figure out what I've left out. The server starts up nicely if I start it with sudo (or, rvmsudo, really). The user has sudo capabilities, I have chmod'ed the app several times so the file permissions there should be ok. The unicorn socket in /tmp is owned by the deployer user, so that shouldn't be the problem either. Does anybody have a clue where to look?

• Mounting NFS share between OSX and Centos VM

  I'm having issues mounting an NFS share I've made on my Mac host (server) from a Centos VM (client). I'm getting a permission denied error. I have this line in /etc/exports on server: /Users/adam/Sites/ 192.168.1.223(rw) and in /etc/fstab on client: 192.168.1.186:/Users/adam/Sites/ /home/adam/Sites/ nfs rw 0 0 I'm sure this is a simple configuration issue, but I've never set up NFS properly before.
