• Define classes for a datatable structure - ORM

  I have existing tables - I have following datatables : ActivityTable(Key ActivityId) - which lists the identifier for various activity ProcessTable (identified by ProcessId) - which lists down which activites(ActivityId) are to be carried out along with their order(StepNum). Some of the activities are marked constant with in a process, that is they will have same data, ir-respective of there run environment. RunTable(Key RunConfigurationId) - that identifies the project name and Process Id Then data for each activity is stored is stored in their individual tables Activity_A, Activity_B,Activity_C so on it uses a combination of RunConfigurationId,ProcessId and stepNum. For the activities which are constant we use a RunConfigurationId= -100. Can anybody help me out how I can map something like this in classes using inheritence regards

It displays: This web site needs a different Google Map API key. A new key can be generted at http://code.google.com/apis/maps/. Sorry but I've never used this application before. Do I have to just generate a new code in order to solve the problem? Or there are another problems?

  I have google maps activity where i would like to get my location but im facing NullPointerException... locManager = (LocationManager) getSystemService(Context.LOCATION_SERVICE); locManager.requestLocationUpdates(LocationManager.NETWORK_PROVIDER, 0, 0, this); Location location = locManager.getLastKnownLocation(LocationManager.NETWORK_PROVIDER); System.out.println("loaded4"); myPoint = new GeoPoint((int)(location.getLatitude()*1E6),(int)(location.getLongitude()*1E6)); System.out.println("loaded5"); I am able to get "loaded4" but not "loaded5" So NullPointer cause is between them. I also tried to use GPS_PROVIDER but it didnt work out. Yes i have all permissions in manifest. Map is able to load in if im not searhing for my loacation. Is it possible its NullPointer because before that i load some other coordinates in same class ? Maybe its emulator fault ? I can give extended code if needed.   Hi all, I need to create a server for processing SOAP requests. I have the wsdl and xml specifications, but I have a doubt: the xml elements are pretty complex, they are not simple type, but they have parent/child relationships (e.g. I have a Book class with an author subclass). How can I map this to PHP classes? In this example, should I create an author class i.e.: class Author { public $name; public $surname; } and then class Book { public $author; } will $author be a class of type Author? • Automatically Host User Domains in Rails/Apache

  Hi, I'm currently developing a user facing web application that gives each new user their own subdomain on the site, which is fine (using subdomain_fu), but is there a way to let a user map their own domain to this subdomain? I know how to do this manually through SSH-ing into the server and editing the Apache Vhosts file by hand, but is there a way to do this automatically so that a user simply enters their domain into a box on the site (obviously they'd have to change their own DNS elsewhere)? I'm using Ruby 1.8 and Rails 2.3.3 on top of Apache. Essentially letting; http://user.application.com/article-1 be accessed from http://userdomain.com/article-1 Thanks for any help!

• Jetty: Mount to a directory on a different host

  I'm looking to map to a directory on a different host using Jetty/Maven when working locally. I've found you can do this w/ Apache using mod_jk (JkMount/JkUnMount), but haven't figured it how to do the same on jetty. On our dev/q/live servers, we have Apache in front of JBoss and use mod_jk to do this. Locally, we're using jetty To give you an idea of what I'm talking about, this is how you would configure Apache to accomplish this: in httpd.conf: JkMount /images/* host2 JkMount /* host2 JkUnMount /images/* host1 workers.properties: worker.list=host2,host1 worker.host2.host=host-2.theDomain.com worker.host2.port=46654 worker.host1.host=host-1.theDomain.com worker.host1.port=46655 Is there a way to configure Jetty to do the same thing? Btw, locally, I'm using the Maven plugin for Eclipse if that makes a difference. thanks!

• ruby on rails sub directory inside in the 'Views' main directory

  Hello, am a newbie in ruby on rails and am stuck with a simple problem of routing. I have my controller 'sub' and the 'Views' folder containing the add,edit,new erb files. In my routes file, i have 'map.resources :subs'. Until now, everything is fine. Problem: I moved the add,edit,new erb files into a subfolder called 'admin' inside the 'Views' main directory. I have no idea how to call those erb files from that 'admin' subdir. By default, it is looking for /app/views/subs/index.html.erb, and i want it to look in /app/views/subs/admin/index.html.erb Please can anyone tell me how to do this. Many many thanks

  Hello, I have the following code to export a zip file: byte[] buffer = FileUtil.FileToByteArray(zipLocation, true); // push the memory data to the client. _ctx.Response.ContentType = "application/zip"; _ctx.Response.AddHeader("content-disposition", String.Format("attachment; filename={0}", String.Format("map{0}.zip", mapId))); _ctx.Response.BinaryWrite(buffer); This code works great. After every export I get a perfectly made zipfile. The problem however is that when I try to import it, the mimetype sometimes is "application/empty". It never tells me it exists even if 123 is a line in that file. I don't know why?   Ok so I'm developing a WPF application that makes heavy use of SQL Server. I've been asked to create an installer package that checks whether the client already has SQL Server Express 2005 already installed, his operating system (64bit Vs x86) and install the required SQL Server instance if needed. I'm then required to automatically map my App.config's connection string to the SQL Server's connection string and run a script to create my database. Is it just me, or does this look like a lot of hard work? Any idea where to start? Edit: Ok should I move to SQL Server Compact edition? Thanks!

  This is a dangerous question, so let me try to phrase it correctly. Premature optimization is the root of all evil, but if you know you need it, there is a basic set of rules that should be considered. This set is what I'm wondering about. For instance, imagine you got a list of a few thousand items. How do you look up an item with a specific, unique ID? Of course, you simply use a Dictionary to map the ID to the item. And if you know that there is a setting stored in a database that is required all the time, you simply cache it instead of issuing a database request hundred times a second. I guess there are a few even more basic ideas. I am specifically not looking for "don't do it, for experts: don't do it yet" or "use a profiler" answers, but for really simple, general hints. If you feel this is an argumentative question, you probably misunderstood my intention.

• Entity Framework 4 & WCF Data Service: N:M mapping

  I have three tables in my database: An A table, a B table, and a many-to-many ABMapping table. For simplicity, A and B are keyed with identity columns; ABMapping has just two columns: AId and BId. I built an Entity Framework 4 model from this, and it did correctly identify the N:M mapping between A and B. I then built a WCF Data Service based on this EF model. I'm trying to consume this WCF Data Service. Unfortunately, I can't figure out how to get a mapping between As and Bs to map back to the database. I've tried something like this: A a = new A(); B b = new B(); a.Bs.Add(b); connection.SaveChanges(); But this doesn't seem to have worked. Any clues? What am I missing?

  I have a 1 by N double array consisting of 1 and 0. I would like to map all the 1 to symbol '-3' and '3' and all the 0 to symbol '-1' and '1' equally. Below is my code. As my array is approx 1 by 8 million, it is taking a very long time. How to speed things up? • MKPinAnnotationView - hard to drag

  I have a MKPinAnnotationView that the user can drag around the map. It is very difficult for a user to drag the pin. I've tried increasing the frame size and also using a giant custom image. But nothing seems to actually change the hit area for the drag to be larger than default. Consequently, I have to attempt to tap/drag about ten times before anything happens. But the actions performed on UI are same irrespective of order type. I am trying to implement a single controller capable of managing all views. Something similar to the one below: @Controller public class OrderController<F extends Order> { public F validate(F order) { } public F insert(F order) { } } I am not sure how spring mvc would be able to map request parameters properly to the order instance as it doesn't know which order instance to populate. Is it possible to achieve this with single controller or should I go with a controller for each order type and duplicate same code across all controllers?

  hello I am toying with certain caching algorithm, which is challenging somewhat. Basically, it needs to allocate lots of small objects (double arrays, < 256 elements), with objects accessible through mapped value, map[key] = array. time to initialized array may be quite large, generally more than 10 thousand cpu cycles. By lots I mean around gigabyte in total. objects may need to be popped/pushed as needed, generally in random places, one object at a time. lifetime of an object is generally long, minutes or more, however, object may be subject to allocation/deallocation several times during duration of program. What would be good strategy to avoid memory fragmentation, while still maintaining reasonable allocate deallocate speed? I am using C++, so I can use new and malloc. Thanks. I know there a similar questions on website, http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2156745/efficiently-allocating-many-short-lived-small-objects, are somewhat different, thread safety is not immediate issue for me.

  I am developing an application which helps the user to find the bus stops near him through his current latitude and longitude. This will also give the time table of the bus, route direction, bus name etc. I searched over the google but didn't get success. I tried the trimet api, but that was also not much helpful as it only works for Portland area and the pin is always dropped on the map on Portland. Please help me! Is there any api to do this? This app is for our client. User will input the route id, loc id or what and will get all the detail of near by bus stops and their lat,long.

However when using the former like so (on an old project) it failed array_walk($_POST, 'mysql_real_escape_string'); Warning: mysql_real_escape_string() expects parameter 2 to be resource, string given. So I went with this slightly more ugly version foreach($_POST as $key => $value) { $_POST[$key] = mysql_real_escape_string($value); } So why didn't the first way work? What is the best way to map values of an array to a function?

• best way to use CoreLocation across multiple views

  I have two views in my app, one is a general view where CoreLocation works away calculating the users location while the user is doing other stuff in the view. The second view is accessed by the user when they touch a button allowing them to locate themselves more accurately using a mapview and MapKit, i would like the mapview in this view to show the location that CoreLocation has already identified in the first view AND to continue displaying this location based on updates from CoreLocation in the other view. Is the best way here to create a singleton that encapsulates the CoreLocation stuff and have this referenced in the view with the map, or to use notifications ? or to use some other better practice for my scenario ?   I have a legacy C library, written in an OO type form. Typical functions are like: LIB *lib_new(); void lib_free(LIB *lib); int lib_add_option(LIB *lib, int flags); void lib_change_name(LIB *lib, char *name); I'd like to use this library in my C++ program, so I'm thinking a C++ wrapper is required. The above would all seem to map to something like: class LIB { public: LIB(); ~LIB(); int add_option(int flags); void change_name(char *name); ... }; I've never written a C++ wrapper round C before, and can't find much advice about it. Is this a good/typical/sensible approach to creating a C++/C wrapper?
