• How do I access session data in Jinja2 templates (Bottle framework on app engine)?

  Hello! I'm running the micro framework Bottle on Google App Engine. I'm using Jinja2 for my templates. And I'm using Beaker to handle the sessions. I'm still a pretty big Python newbie and am pretty stoked I got this far :) My question is how do I access the session data within the templates? I can get the session data no problem within the actual python code. And I could pass the session data each time I call a jinja template. But since I need the session data in the main menu bar of the site... that means I would have to pass it on every single page. Does anyone know if I can access it directly in the templates? For example I need the session data for my header links: Home | FAQ | Login or Home | FAQ | Logout Any help is greatly appreciated! :D

Build it, and here is the question: how to set application icon to my compiled exe file? I need to see specified ICO in explorer! Old method with MyProject.pro not interested!!! Create a .ico file with both 16x16 and 32x32-pixel versions of the icon (you can do this in Visual Studio). Create a .rc file containing the following text: IDI_ICON1 ICON DISCARDABLE "myIcon.ico" Add the following to your .pro file RC_FILE = myFile.rc Run qmake. Thanks.

  Hi Team, Using: http://home.aland.net/sundman/ to split a complex form in to 4 steps. As well as as the 'next, back and submit' form buttons, I have created a menu above the form: step 1, step 2, step 3, step 4 linking to the hash tags #: #, #1, #2, #3 so the visitor can decide which step they want to view / edit. This works fine in firefox, but in IE and Chrome it does not seem to work. Anyone have experience with hte jQuery history plugin that can tell me the best way to accomplish this? I would like to link to the form but it is in a password protected area and subject to our NDA. If need be I could try and replicate the issue with a form on our server and link here. Thanks, Jack

• Memory mapped files causes low physical memory

  I have a 2GB RAM and running a memory intensive application and going to low available physical memory state and system is not responding to user actions, like opening any application or menu invocation etc. How do I trigger or tell the system to swap the memory to pagefile and free physical memory? I'm using Windows XP. If I run the same application on 4GB RAM machine it is not the case, system response is good. After getting choked of available physical memory system automatically swaps to pagefile and free physical memory, not that bad as 2GB system. To overcome this problem (on 2GB machine) attempted to use memory mapped files for large dataset which are allocated by application. In this case virtual memory of the application(process) is fine but system cache is high and same problem as above that physical memory is less. Even though memory mapped file is not mapped to process virtual memory system cache is high. why???!!! :( Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

• How to disable Center Key (CK) and let only Left Soft Key (LSK) be used in j2me

  Hello everyone, I created a custom item in which I need to use the Center Key for the purpose of selecting and I am successfully able to use it with the keyPressed event using the keyCode as -5. The problem is, as soon as I press the CK, it also clicks on the command above the LSK and that causes the menu to pop up. Is there any way that I can disable the CK for a particular command or something like that (because I dont need CK, since I can click on the command through LSK as well, I want to use the CK specifically for the custom item)? • Routing with command controller and sub controllers without using areas

  How can I create a routing structure for a project management application where there are discrete controllers for all the relevant pieces such as TaskController, DocumentController etc and an Over arching controller. I would essentially like a structure like: http://server/Project/123/Task http://server/Project/123/Document I am using mvc1 so I have no access to areas etc. The project section will have a separate master page for project controllers such as task, document etc with a dfferent menu navigaton. • Android SDK and AVD manager will not run from Eclipse after upgrade to SDK 5 and ADT 0.9.6

  Using Windows 7, 64 bit system. Prior to upgrade I was able to run "Android SDK and AVD manager" from Eclipse via a tool bar icon and menu option, both of which still exist. However now nothing happens when I try to run the manager. As a result I can't start an emulator from within Eclipse. When I use Eclipse to run an Android app, the first emulator I installed is automatically started. Using Windows Explorer, I can still run the manager from the SDK directory in which the update was applied (the update didn't change the location of the SDK). If I run the manager and start multiple emulators and then Run an app from Eclipse, it sees the emulators and allows me to choose one as before. This is a satisfactory work-around, but it would be nice if the manager were fully integrated into Eclipse as it was before.

• Lotus Notes - Fails to move inbox article to subfolder

  Lotus Notes 8.5 - yuck! User is trying to move an email from the Inbox into a subfolder and is using the menu option (not dragging & dropping) the email simply fails to move. It just appears again in the inbox. Drag and drop has the same effect! I have checked that it is a failure to move and not just a copy/delete issue. I am not a Notes adminstrator, being more of a MS Exchange administrator by career path and have no idea what to be looking for.

• Javascript incapable of getting element's max-height via element.style.maxHeight

  I am making a simple accordion menu in javascript. I'd like to be able to set the compact and expanded heights for the elements via the css max-height and min-height values. For some reason, when I try to retrieve the min-height and max-height of the elements in javascript for animation purposes, I get an empty string rather than, for instance, "500px" like it should. The max-height value is set in css, e.g. #id { min-height: 40px; max-height: 500px; } is all set up, but when I put a debugging mechanism in my javascript such as alert( item.style.minHeight ); it pops up an empty alert box. This happens in Firefox 3.6.2 and IE 8. Does anybody know why javascript refuses to be able to get an element's minHeight and maxHeight?

• Javascript window.onunload fires off after Page_Load

  I have noticed that window.onunload event fires off AFTER page_load event which makes no sense. This behaviour is creating an issue for me - in my unonload I clear the session, so if the Page_Load first BEFORE onunload, there are errors on the page displayed. I would expect the javascript onunload to fire BEFORE Page_Load....is that the correct assumption? TO CLARIFY: Let's assume I am on page test.aspx, then I click on the link that goes to the same page (say I click on a menu), what I observe is that Page_Load fires first, then onunload fires off. Makes no sense at all.

This may have something to do with this being displayed in a UITextView. But how do I stop if from displaying all other items?

• iPad UIViewController loads as portrait when device is in landscape

  I have an application with 3 view controllers. They are all have shouldAutoRotateToInterfaceOrientation returning YES. The first two, my main menu and my submenu both autorotate just fine. The third viewcontroller, which programatically loads a UIImageView from a jpg file in the program's bundle, will only display in portrait. In the viewcontroller containing the image, i have this: NSString *imageName = [NSString stringWithFormat:@"%@-00%d.jpg",setPrefix,imageNumber]; UIImageView *pictureView = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:imageName]]; pictureView.frame = CGRectMake(0, 0, 1024, 768); [self.view addSubview:pictureView]; and again, I have shouldAutoRotateToInterfaceOrientation returning YES for all orientations. My image shows up, but is sideways, and the 0,0,1024,768 values I used to make my rectangle start from the top right corner going down, instead of starting at the top left and going across (holding in landscape). Am I missing a parameter I need to set in order to ensure the imageview shows up in landscape instead of portrait?

• Modifying an old Windows program not to call exit after a keypress without source access

  I have an older C++ Windows program that I've been asked to get run in a kiosk style environment for a student project. From the main menu, hitting ESC will exit the program, which is undesirable. In ye olden days I would have trapped the keyboard interrupt or whatever and dug around to NOOP whatever JMP or CALL was getting referenced in the case statement that likely decides all that, but on Windows everything goes through various registered event handlers, and I haven't done any windows internals work in about 10 years. Is there a good tool to breakpoint a program on certain WM_EVENT (WM_KEYDOWN being a prime target) messages or similar, so that I can narrow down where in the executable the check is made? I'm currently stepping back from various potential system calls made before the various thread cleanups and final exit calls but it seems like there has to be a better way to do this that I'm forgetting.

• Silverlight like login/register control in WPF

  If you have created a silverlight business application you will see that in the top righthand corner on the menu is a login hyperlink. Pressing it opens up a childwindow that displays a login control, within that control is another hyperlink that says "Register" if you press it, it flips the control 180 degrees around from the login control to the register control. I really like this type of animation and want to do something similar in WPF for a project I am working on. With following code i'm setting widget in definite cell: view = QTableView() label = QLabel( <some html text> ) ... view.setIndexWidget(index, label) I used html to make label's text clickable, but links became blue with underline and moreover by clicking on it with right mouse button appears popup menu with "Copy Link Locaion" option, where i wanted to place some hidden information instead of url and of course do not let user see this info. I'm looking for light-weight widget, i thought that insertion of QGraphicsView in each cell will lead to big computer loads, but can't think of any other solution. I noticed that i can not change the view without going to edit mode, then go to modify shared web part. But in the home page of the calendar. There is a same calendar web part with a drop down menu to change views. Also, there is a small calendar connected to the main calendar web part in the left navigation area. • How to get Tomcat Working on WIndows 7?

  I have installed Apache Tomcat 5.X/6.X on my Winodws 7 PC. After the installaiton the service starts fine when I check the Start Tomcat box and click finish. However If I try to start the tomcat configuration tool or monitor tool from the start menu I can not start any of the Tomcat's services. I get an error in a message box stating "Access Deined. Unable to open Tomcat 5.5". What seems to be the problem? and How can I solve it? Even restarting the PC won't help. I also have JDK and JRE installed. Turing the firewall doesn't work too. Please Help! Note that I'm running 32bit Version of Windows 7.
