• An Approach to Incremental Conversion

  It is common for Oracle Enterprise Taxation and Policy Management (ETPM) customers to implement in multiple phases.  This results in a need for incremental conversion, where part of the data in is production and they are now adding new data.  Some of the new data can be new persons, accounts and their children, but some may be new tax types for existing taxpayers.  This document addresses a methodology for adding incremental data into ETPM.  It does not address every possible data scenario, but offers a path to achieving incremental conversion without the need for code changes.    https://blogs.oracle.com/tax/resource/IncrementalConversion.pdf

  Just love the Hipmunk (for Business) UI facets for discovering information. You can filter by Agony, Spite, or Vice! Agony and Spite facets on Hipmunk.com Vice facet on Hipmunk for Mobile Seems like a reasonable balance given that all you can do with business travel sometimes is just laugh about it! I first came to hipmunk.com through a paper presented by Oracle Fusion User Experience Advocate (or FXA) Sten Vesterli (@stenvesterli) at an Oracle Usability Advisory Board meeting in Geneva earlier in 2012. Nice! And there are lots of other powerful and edgy UX features in the solution too (Gmail calendar integration, contextual actions dialog box, and so on). I'll be using Hipmunk as an example of great UX too, shortly. If you want to mention the funky side of UIs or anything referenced by me, then acknowledge the source.

• Java 7 Adoption at 79%

  According to a recent blog post from the cloud hosting company Jelastic, Java 7 adoption on their platform is now at 79%. While this is a single data point and should not be read too broadly, it does match other indicators we have that Java 7 is picking up, such as uptake among Oracle middleware customers, download statistics and online activity. The spike in adoption in April coincided with the release of JDK 7 Update 4. This is in line with our expectations since that release added Mac OS X support as well as java.com moving to Java 7 as the default download for end-users; two events that marked the maturity of Java 7 to the community. Since the original release of Java 7, Oracle has shipped 7 update releases, added ports to Mac OSX and Linux/ARM and expanded JavaFX to all common desktop platforms.

Dabei können die vorgefertigten Deployment Prozeduren direkt oder für die eigenen Bedürfnisse modifiziert verwendet werden. Sie können diese Technik jedoch auch für die Provisionierung beliebiger Software nutzen, indem Sie eigene Deployment Prozeduren erstellen.   The Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition 11.1.1.7.131017 patch set has been released, and is available to download from My Oracle Support (https:\\support.oracle.com).   WebLogic Server 12c Certified with Java 7 for Production Use WebLogic Server 12c (12.1.1) has been certified with JDK 7 for development usage since December and we have now completed JDK 7 certification for use with production systems. In doing so, we have updated the WebLogic Server 12c (12.1.1) distributions incorporating fixes associated with JDK 7 support as well as some bundled patches that address several issues that have been discovered since the initial release. These updated distributions are available for download from OTN and will be beneficial for all WebLogic Server 12c (12.1.1) users in general. What's New Release Notes Download Here! Updated Oracle WebLogic Server 12.1.1.0 distribution Never one to miss a trick, Markus Eisele was one of the first to notice the WebLogic Server 12c update and post a blog about it.
