    I see different versions of the constructor, one uses info from web.config, one specifies the host, and one the host and port. But how do I set the username and password to something different from the web.config? We have the issue where our internal smtp is blocked by some high security clients and we want to use their smtp server, is there a way to do this from the code instead of web.config?

  • Remote desktop type software that the client need not install anything...

    I am primarily a Macintosh user, and can usually walk a client though any troubles they may have because I have a Macintosh in front of me. If they are on a different OS, things are close enough, or I cam remember, that I can get by. When trying to help clients on Windows, I get stuck. I do not have access to windows, and even if I did, there are far too many versions of Outlook, all with their various esoteric settings and checkboxes, that I could never see exactly what they are seeing. I mostly need to just help them with email setup. Something like copilot.com may do the trick. What is the simplest remote control software out there, ideally, it would accomplish these: No software needed on remote end, or, a single .exe that they can toss when done. I need Mac based software on my end. I do have ARD, which support VNC Free :) If possible, it would be really nice Needs a port forwarding proxy run by the company. There is no way I can get the user to alter their router, or to even plug directly into their WAN for a short time. On the Mac, I just have them open iChat, and this is all built in, proxying through AIM, looking for the same for Windows and Mac.

    We have a Spring MVC web app (WAR) deploying to Tomcat (6.0.35) that launches a thread inside a separate JVM at deploy time (don't ask why - not my design) and then communicates with that thread via RMI over port 8888. Despite being totally convoluded, this was working perfectly fine up until yesterday, and now the thread is failing at startup and despite our best efforts to add logging into the mix, we are hitting a wall.   • Postfix unable to find local server

    I'm working with postfix on fedora 9 and I'm attempting to make some changes to a system setup by my predecessor. Currently the postfix server on [mail.ourdomain.com] is setup to forward mail sent to two addresses to another server for processing. The other server [www01.ourdomain.com] receives the email and sends it to a PHP script to be processed. Then that PHP script generates and sends a response to the user who sent the original email. We're adding more web servers to the system and as a result we've decided to move these processing scripts to our admin [admin.ourdomain.com] server to make them easier to keep track of. I've already setup and tested the processing scripts on [admin.ourdomain.com], and on the mail server doing the forwarding [mail.ourdomain.com] I added [admin.ourdomain.com] to /etc/hosts and also added another, aside from the one for [www01.ourdomain.com], entry to /etc/postfix/transport for [admin.ourdomain.com]. I also restarted postfix as well. I've tested the communication from [mail.ourdomain.com] to [admin.ourdomain.com] using telnet and the [admin.ourdomain.com] domain and everything runs correctly. But as soon as I change the forward address and attempt to send an email to the mail server I get a bounce message stating "Host or domain name not found. Name service error for name=admin.ourdomain.com type=A: Host not found". If I change the forward settings back to [www01.ourdomain.com] then everything works fine. Is there some setting I'm missing in Postfix? The server itself and telnet work fine it just seems to be postfix that's not able to discover the location of [admin.ourdomain.com].

  • Heroku deployment: connection refused

    I have suddenly run into an issue deploying to Heroku. I created a new app, went to push and now see: ssh: connect to host heroku.com port 22: Connection refused My other previously working Heroku apps no longer work, receiving the same error. Other Heroku commands work (create, info, db:push). I can SSH to other services, so it doesn't look like it's my machine. Any ideas?

    I'm essentially looking to monitor a USB port input for whatever happens when the optical mouse detects its own movement and turns itself on. These mice usually have a dim red light when in "standby" mode and then the red light becomes brighter once you start moving it around. I want to use Visual Basic or something else native to the Windows environment to open an exe file or play a wav sound or call a bat file when the mouse "wakes up". The DST in both cases are NAT'd external IPs. Is that a problem? I have made changes for port forwarding as well. When I try to bring the interfaces up it gives me output "RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument". I am confused now and don't know what more to do? Any place I can digup what parameters were wrong? I would like the user to be able to connect to a user-specified SQL server from the login screen(he specifies IP address, port, database name, ID, password and presses "connect" button). However, I found out that the Dataset connection string property is read only and cannot be changed. Is there any way to guide the wizard-generated DataSet to a user-specified server at run time?

I would expect either an error message saying tomcat is not configured as a proxy server or I should get the contents of google website. Instead I get the index.html page of my tomcat installation.
