  • Examples for Winsock?

    What do you guys recommend for a resource for winsock? I have an assignment that we have only have a few days to do that needs to send a simple packet using UDP (and receive the same type of packet). I am fairly familiar with C# sockets but nothing with C++. Any tips or resources?

    I'm pulling an RSS feed from a remote location using ServerXmlHttp: Dim httpRequest set httpRequest = server.createObject("Msxml2.ServerXMLHTTP.6.0") httpRequest.open "GET", "http://www.someurl.com/feed.xml", false httpRequest.send() response.write httpRequest.responseXML.xml However there must be encoding issues somewhere along the line as I'm seeing ???? where there should be some Japanese characters.     Are content observers persistent in Android? If I create a content observer in an activity, will that observer continue to run until I remove the observer. Basically I am creating a service for SMS, where on receive and on send I post the SMS out to a web service, so I can check my messages with out having my phone. If the content observer is tied to the Activity's life, how can I create a ContentObserver that will always receive notifications on content:/sms/

    I have a problem with some automating posting to bulletin board... If I send the posting form to the vBulletin board, I get corrupted entities. Feel free to copy-paste the script and try it...     Hello, Is there a way to test your application's processing and handling of Paypal generated credit card errors? I'd like to verify that my application can handle a declined credit card or something like that. So is there a way to have Paypal send an error message? Or would it be better to generate a stub and use it in the testing environment? If this is the better way, how would one generate a stub? Thanks!

    I want to send files through php using readfile() What i've noticed is that readfile forces a download, but what if i want to show an image in the browser and not force a download? Would readfile still force download even if the file is an image? If it does, is there a solution so i can use tags with it when the file is an image? Thanks!

Enabling Cross domain in Firefox and Chrome was easy by setting the header on the handling server: header("Access-Control-Allow-Origin: *"); But this doesn't help enabling it in Internet Explorer. When I try: httpreq.send(''); it stops with error Access denied. How can this be enabled in Internet Explorer?

  • Objective-c - How to serialize audio file into small packets that can be played?

    Hi there, So, I would like to get a sound file and convert it in packets, and send it to another computer. I would like that the other computer be able to play the packets as they arrive. I am using AVAudioPlayer to try to play this packets, but I couldn't find a proper way to serialize the data on the peer1 that the peer2 can play. The scenario is, peer1 has a audio file, split the audio file in many small packets, put them on a NSData and send them to peer2. Peer 2 receive the packets and play one by one, as they arrive. Does anyone have know how to do this? or even if it is possible?   • New monitor connected to HDMI adaptor doesn't show output after booting

    Hello out there in the multiple monitors’ world. I am a very old newbie in your world and need help. I just purchased a new Asus VH236H monitor and hooked it up the HDMI port of an ATI Radeon HD4300 / 4500 Series display adaptor. I left the old Princeton LCD19 (TMDS) hooked up to the DVI port of the same display adaptor. Both monitors displayed the boot sequence, after I fired good old Sarastro2 (Asus P5Q Pro Turbo – Dual Core E5300 – 2.60 GHz) up. The Asus lacked one half of a second behind the Princeton until the Windows 7 Ultimate SP 1 boot up was complete. Then the Asus displayed “HDMI NO SIGNAL” and went into hibernation. The Princeton stayed lit up as before. Both monitors are displayed on the “Screen Resolution Setup Display” and I plaid around with them for a while. The only thing I accomplished was to shove the desktop icons from the Princeton to the still hibernating Asus. The “Multiple displays:” is set to “Extend these displays”, the Orientation is “Landscape” and the Resolutions are set on both to the “recommended” one. Both monitors show that they work properly in the advanced Properties display. What am I doing wrong, what am I missing? Never mind the opinions about the different resolutions of the two monitors. I always can unhook the Princeton and give it to a Goodwill Store if I do not like the setup. I just would like to make it work. Any constructive help is very much appreciated, Thank you.

  • Exchange users moved mailbox now can't open some calendars

    OK So the environment is Exchange sp on Windows 2003 server. This weekend we had to move a bunch of users of off one information store that was corrupt and onto a temp store delete the original dodgy store and then move the users back from the temp store to one of the three other stores under the same original storage group. Since then we are having some weird access issues relating to calendars. I am assuming it is all related, but it might not be. The problem is that users are unable to see any calendars that they have previously had access to. The weird thing is, that some of the users in question are not ones who have been moved nor are they trying to access calendars that belong to people whose accounts have been moved. Hence my assumption its related but possibly not. The message received is "Unable to display the folder. The calendar folder could not be found." here is the kicker, if i move someone who is trying to access other calendars, to a different mailbox store (thereby creating a new email account and sending stuff over), things start to work again. this to me indicates a permissions problem however I am unsure in what way. Looking for help out there please guys :) Cheers

  • LF/CR issue with RS232 in Linux

    I've been having this problem where anytime I send a 0xA through an RS-232 in a Linux OS the receiver interprets that as 2 bytes, 0xD and 0xA. Also whenever I receive 0xD the serial port interprets that as 0xA. I've been reading that there are known issues regarding this, has anybody been able to find a solution?

    Hi, I have a php login which sets 2 cookies once some one login. the problem is that if you login from : http://www.mydomain.com and you go to http://mydomain.com you will find your self not logged in, I think that's because the browser only send the cookies to the first syntax. It's only one domain, the difference is the www. before the domain name, so how to set cookies to the whole domain whatever there is www. or not ? Thanks
