  • relaunch app when it ends or when it prints out certain text (stdout)

    I have an app which acts almost like a daemon. Sometimes it quits on error and many times it prints an error msg then ask users to press any key to close. How can i relaunch the app when either case happens? I am more interested in the 2nd case. I can do this in c++, C# or python. The script is an old python that i dont want to change (a newer c# version is in the works but not stable)

This is the xaxis scale. Column2 - Y-Mean Column3 - Y-Max Column4 - Y-Min Here is the plotting code that I use: plot "chameleonConfidence.dat" using xtic(1):2:4:3 title "Ratio of Time Taken" with yerrorbars But this gives me the following error Warning: empty x range [4.94066e-324:4.94066e-324], adjusting to [4.94066e-324:4.94066e-324] "chameleonConfidence.gplot", line 15: x_min should not equal x_max! Can someone help me with this?

I did this job in python before I knew awk and sed, with a couple hundred lines of code. Now I want to see how powerful and efficient awk and sed can be.     Let's say I have a string in an RTL language such as Arabic with some English chucked in: string s = "Test:?????;?????;?????;a;b" Notice there are semicolons in the string. When I use the Split command like string[] spl = s.Split(';');, then some of the strings are saved in reverse order. This is what happens: ??Test:????? ????? ????? a b The above is out of order compared to the original. Instead, I expect to get this: ?Test: ????? ????? ????? a b I'm prepared to write my own split function. However, the chars in the string also parse in reverse order, so I'm back to square one. I just want to go through each character as it's shown on the screen.

    I wrote my layout entirely in java code because it was just more convenient. (I had a lot of textViews and using for statements were more convenient). However, my TextViews require the day of the week and in portrait mode, I would like to cut the day of the week to a short form. For example, I want "Sunday" to show "Sun" for portrait mode, but "Sunday" for landscape mode. I understand how to do this in XML files, but how do I do it in code? Is there some way I can run it through a function or something before displaying it?
