  • Using Zend_Navigation, how do I create image-based navigation?

    - by SimpleCoder
(I'm assuming my navigation should be in a layout script.) I have a navigation bar composed of rollover images. The image corresponding to the page that is active should be a different color, though. I do this by changing the image. My question is, where and how should I implement this using Zend_Navigation? Details: The menu itself is just a stack of divs that are floated to the left within a container. Each div has a background image. Thank you for your help,

  • Fixing Chrome resizing behaviour

    - by bobo
<div style="background-color:red;width: 300px;"> <div style="float:left;border:1px solid yellow;">AAA AAA AAA</div> <div style="float:left;border:1px solid green;">BBB BBB BBB</div> <div style="clear:both;"></div> </div> Pasting the above HTML here: http://htmledit.squarefree.com/ And then zoom out in Chrome, you will see that <div> B will eventually be forced down to the next row. If you do the same thing in Firefox and IE, both <div> A and B will stay on the same row. Adding a height attribute on the parent <div> may help, but if the height of the content is not known beforehand, this will not be feasible. I would like to know how this problem can be fixed in Chrome. Many thanks to you all. EDIT: uploaded a screenshot here: http://img52.imageshack.us/i/screenshot1xd.jpg/

  • jQuery - Animate function

    - by Arun Kumar
I have a piece of code shown below: $(".tagArea li").mouseover(function(){ $(this).animate({ borderWidth: "2px" }, 1000 ); }); $(".tagArea li").mouseout(function () { $(this).animate({ borderWidth: "1px" }, 1000 ); }); When I try to hover it on a particular list item, it properly animates but doesn't stop doing just once. It keeps doing 2 or 3 times. How to avoid this, I 've tried many a times but no positive result occurs to me. Kindly help.

  • google maps in jquery mobile

    - by paullb
When showing a google map in jquery mobile it appears (after reading the forums) that code like the following is required: <div data-role="page" data-theme="b" class="page-map" style="width:100%; height:100%;"> <div data-role="header"><h1>Map Page</h1></div> <div data-role="content" style="width:100%; height:100%; padding:0;"> <div id="map_canvas" style="width:100%; height:100%;"></div> </div> </div> Taking away the height on outside div causes the div to drop to height 0 and the map not being displayed. I was hoping to get some dynamic text below the map (based on the contents on the) which length I do not know so I can't set an absolute height. Has anyone got a workaround for this problem?

  • How can I cover up a <div>'s border with another <div>?

    - by Leftium
I am trying to move GCLI's input from the bottom of the page to the top. However, I can't get it to look quite right. Why can't I get the .gcli-panel-connector <div> to cover up the .gcli-tt <div>'s border? I think it has something to do with the z-index. Please compare these two live demos: Original code where the input is at the bottom and the border is properly covered Altered code where the input is at the top, but the border is not covered as desired

  • How to hide canvas content from parent rounded corners in any webkit for Mac?

    - by Jose Rui Santos
I have a parent div with rounded corners that contains a canvas: <div id="box"> <canvas width="300px" height="300px"></canvas> </div>? #box { width: 150px; height: 150px; background-color: blue; border-radius: 50px; overflow: hidden; }? The canvas renders a red rectangle that overflows the parent. As expected, this is what I get in all browsers: The problem: However, for webkit browsers running in Mac OS lion (I tested Safari 5.1.5 and Chrome 19), the canvas is still visible in the round corners: Interestingly, this problem seems to happen only when the inner element is a canvas. For any other child element, the content is correctly hidden. One workaround would be to apply the same rounded corners to the canvas itself, but unfortunately this is not possible, since I need to animate the canvas relative position. Another workaround that should work, is to redraw the canvas in a clipped region that resembles the rounded corners shape, but I would prefer a cleaner CSS3 solution. So, does one know how to fix this for Safari and Chrome on Mac? EDIT: Problem also happens in Chrome on Win7 jsFiddle here

  • HTML CheckBox labels within a container are not displayed as expected

    - by Tiny
    The following HTML code attempts to display checkboxes inside a <div></div> container. <div style="overflow: auto; width: auto; display:block; max-height:130px; max-width:200px; background-color: #FFF; height: auto; border: 1px double #336699; padding-left: 2px;"> <label for="chk12" style='white-space: nowrap;'> <input type='checkbox' id="chk12" name='chk_colours' value="12" class='validate[required] text-input text'> <div style='background-color:#FF8C00; width: 180px;' title="darkorange">&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> </label> <label for="chk11" style='white-space: nowrap;'> <input type='checkbox' id="chk11" name='chk_colours' value="11" class='validate[required] text-input text'> <div style='background-color:#D9D919; width: 180px;' title="brightgold">&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> </label> <label for="chk10" style='white-space: nowrap;'> <input type='checkbox' id="chk10" name='chk_colours' value="10" class='validate[required] text-input text'> <div style='background-color:#76EE00; width: 180px;' title="chartreuse2">&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> </label> <label for="chk9" style='white-space: nowrap;'> <input type='checkbox' id="chk9" name='chk_colours' value="9" class='validate[required] text-input text'> <div style='background-color:#2E0854; width: 180px;' title="indigo">&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> </label> <label for="chk8" style='white-space: nowrap;'> <input type='checkbox' id="chk8" name='chk_colours' value="8" class='validate[required] text-input text'> <div style='background-color:#292929; width: 180px;' title="gray16">&nbsp;&nbsp;</div> </label> </div> What it displays can be visible in the following snap shot. It is seen that various colour stripes which are displayed using the following <div> tag <div style='background-color:#FF8C00; width: 180px;' title="darkorange">&nbsp;&nbsp</div> are displayed below their respective checkboxes which are expected to be displayed in a straight line even though I'm using the white-space: nowrap; style attribute. How to display each stripe along with its respective checkbox in a straight line? It was explained in one of my questions itself but in that question each checkbox had a text label in place of such colour stripes. Here it is. I tried to do as mentioned in the accepted answer of that question but to no avail in this case.

  • <optgroup label='-------'></optgroup> gives xhtml validation eror

    - by user266307
Error: End tag for 'optgroup' which is not finished. You have probably failed to include a required child element. Hence the parent element is "not finished", not complete. I want to achieve something like this in select options. USA UK -- Afghanistan I want to put few important countries on top and then a non-selectable divider and then ordered list of remaining countries. I put this divider using empty 'optgroup'. While it works perfectly in all browser, I get validation error. What could be other approaches?

  • Put text directly to the left of an <LI>

    - by Horace Loeb
I have a list of songs, and I want to put the word "New!" to the left of the new songs like this: How can I do this so that all the songs line up? I.e., I want the names of songs that aren't new to line up with the names of songs that are new, not with the start of the word "New" Note that this is trivial if "New!" is an image. I.e., I set the image as the background-image of the <li> and give it some padding-left

  • div at bottom of page.

    - by Ted
I have a div which I am using as a footer to display some content. I have put the style as: .pageFooter{ position:absolute; bottom:0px; width:100%; height:25px; background:#e6e6e6; } This style works well when there is not content in the body of page. But when I populate the page with content, say datagrid, the div is overlaps data in datagrid. What changes should I make to the style to let the div be at the bottom always. I am using IE* to view the pages.

  • Struts2 jQuery Plugin Autocompleter renders HTML with style attributes <== changing this?

    - by Tim
I'm using the Struts2 jQuery plugin 2.1 and render an autocompleter in my JSP. Here's the code: <s:form id="search-form" action="search" theme="simple"> <s:url id="remoteurl" action="jsonlanguages"/> <div> <sj:autocompleter cssClass="bgstandardelement empty" id="languages" name="echo" href="%{remoteurl}" delay="50" value="Search..." /> <input type="submit" id="search-button" value="GO" /> </div> </s:form> No matter what theme I set the autocompleter-form to, the HTML rendered for the list I output is always an unordered list with a style element that I cannot override. It has the following stype-attribute: style='z-index: 1; top: 242px; left: 926px; display: none; width: 256px'; As I want another outfit for my list, this doesn't work. Putting in the following attribute has no effect: cssStyle="width:115px!important;" What can I do?

  • Stretch image to fill div, but not skew

    - by z0mbieParade
I'm trying to make an image stretch to fit inside a div. However I want it to overflow so that the entire div is filled. The div resizes with the page. I want an effect similar to the jQuery bgstretcher plugin (http://www.ajaxblender.com/bgstretcher-2-jquery-stretch-background-plugin-updated.html) , but I cannot use that plugin because I'm already using it for the background image on the page, and it seems to not work when you try and activate multiple instances of it. So what I'm asking is for some sort of simple jQuery function that resizes an image to completely fill a div with overflow hidden, so that there are no gaps, but without skewing the image. Edit: http://jsfiddle.net/R7UCZ/ That's sort of what I'm after, but I want the image to fill the entire div without skewing. If the image goes out of the div a bit, that's fine, but I need it to resize with the div, which resizes with the page, both height and width.

  • span, div ,p element. What should I use and how?

    - by Cesar Lopez
I have the following problem. I have a td which I need to add other three elements inside (span, div,p, or any other suggestion) in order to align the three elements inside one next to each other (the content of this elements is text). If all the elements contains a single line of text, then everything its fine. The problem comes when the first to are single line of text and third element contains more than one line of text, then text of third element it would go under first element, but I need it to go under third element. eg. Output desired. Title on element1: (subtitle on element 2) Text on element 3 with several lines of text. Actual output. Title on element1: (subtitle on element 2) Text on element 3 with several lines of text. html code sample <td> <span display="inline">Title on element1:</span> <span display="inline">(subtitle on element 2)</span> <span display="inline">Text on element 3 <br/> with several lines <br/> of text.</span> </td>
