  • Specifying a relative path in web.xml when debugging a servlet with Eclipse's WTP Tomcat Server?

    I'm trying to specify a relative directory in the web.xml file. I basically want it to read the "data" folder underneath "web-inf", but nothing I've tried seems to work. "/data" translates to the data folder in the root directory (I'm using windows). "data" translates to "C:\Program Files\Eclipes\data" "${CATALINA_HOME}/[etc...]" doesn't seem to work either. Any ideas?

    Hi, I know there are things out there to help to optimize queries, ect... but is there anything else, something like a full package that can scan your database and highlight all the performance issues, naming conventions, tables not properly normalized, etc? I know this is the job of a DBA and if the DBA is good, he shouldn't need a tool like that, but sometimes you start a new job, you get in charge of an existing database and the DB is a mess, so you don't know where to start...     So assuming that in our work environment we've decided that the One True Faith forbids this: if (something) doSomething(); And instead we want: if (something) { doSomething(); } Is there a tool that will do that automagically? Awesomest would be to have eclipse just do it, but since we're really just recovering from one ex-employee that thought he was too pretty for coding conventions, a less-friendly tool that would do it right just once would suffice.

  • Is there any way to evaluate (expand-file-name) in .dir-locals.el?

    I'm trying to move all my compilation config (compilation-command and compilation-directory to be exact) to .dir-locals.el file at the top of my project. It is working fine except that I can't find the way to use expand-file-name there and without it I have to use absolute path, which is not really convenient. So, is there a way (or a dirty hack) to make local directory variables to evaluate values before assigning?

    Is it possible to have a separate php.ini file that overrides the default php.ini file for each virtual host? I'm running Apache/2.2.14, PHP 5.3.2-1. For example I have several vhosts pointing to domains in my /var/www/ directory: /var/www/website1.com /var/www/website2.com What I'd like is to be able to place a custom php.ini file in each directory that would override the default values only for that vhost, but keep the original defaults if the value isn't specified: /var/www/website1.com/htdocs/ /var/www/website1.com/php.ini

    Hi, I've set django filebrowser's debug to True and wrote the extension restrictions in the model. pdf = FileBrowseField("PDF", max_length=200, directory="documents/", extensions=['.pdf', '.doc', '.txt'], format='Document', blank=True, null=True) In django admin it shows correctly with debug info. Directory documents/ Extensions ['.pdf', '.doc', '.txt'] Format Document But when I call the filebrowser, it allows all file extensions to be uploaded. How can I restrict filebrowser to upload only certain filetypes that I want? Thanks everyone

    i have a rails app which makes heavy use of activeresource and httparty to make api calls. Is there any library/extension to log the requests and parse them, so that log analysis becomes easier and automated. RailsLogAnalyser is good but what about extra calls, what are the conventions? Something like a opensource/self-hosted alternative to newrelic, but with extensions to plug in your own logging.

  • sharepoint full text query with attributes missing isn't returning the results I expected

    If I am doing a search in sharepoint, some of the results I'm expecting are not being returned. I believe its because in active directory these entries may not have all the fields. So a name that doesn't have the givenName attribute set in active directory is not being returned from this query. Is there a way I can get this to work like I expected? "select LastName, FirstName, PreferredName, AccountName from scope() where \"scope\"='People' AND (LastName like '%" + search + "%' OR FirstName like '%" + search + "%' OR PreferredName like '%" + search + "%')";

    Given: An application that accesses a directory of files: some plain text, some binary files that adhere to a particular NSCoding implementation, and perhaps other binary files it simply doesn't understand how to process. I want to be able to figure out which of the files in that directory adhere to my NSCoding class, and I'd prefer not to have to fall back on the naïve approach of loading the entirety of each file into memory, attempting to unarchive each. Anyone have an elegant approach or pattern to this problem?

My IP address is 192.168.1.101 While http://localhost and http://192.168.1.101 work fine in my PC, I cannot access it from within my laptop using http://192.168.1.102 It's strange. I can ping 192.168.1.101 but I got "The connection has timed out." in browser.     I installed mercurial 1.5.1 on win xp but the files listed in hg help config, were not created. Namely: %USERPROFILE%.hgrc (is that a valid windows file name?) %USERPROFILE%\Mercurial.ini \Mercurial\Mercurial.ini C:\Mercurial\Mercurial.ini (no such directory altogether) %HOME%.hgrc (what is this directory) %HOME%\Mercurial.ini HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Mercurial (no registry created) .hg\hgrc (i had to create this file manually to solve my problem)
