    Hi! I have huge database (kinda wordnet). And want to know if it's easier to use Cassandra instead of MySQL|PostrgreSQL All my life I was using MySQL and PostrgreSQL and I could easily think in terms of relational algebra, but several weeks ago I learned about cassandra and that it's used in facebook and twitter. Is it more convenient? What DBMS are usually used nowadays to store social net's data, relationships between objects, wordnet?

  • What's a good Lua IDE for linux?

    I'm looking for a lua IDE on linux. The majority of suggestions I've seen so far are windows only. I would have liked to use one of the Eclipse plugins for lua, but both of them -- LuaEclipse and LunarEclipse -- haven't been updated in nearly two years, and don't seem to work with Eclipse 3.5. If you have had any luck in getting lua working in Eclipse, I would be very interested.

  • Installation of Jetty into Eclipse

    Hi I've had Jetty recommended as a good container for fast and simple development, in my case, Java Server Faces. I wish to use it with my Eclipse IDE (Version: 3.4.1), but quite frankly, can't figure out how. I've tried various outdated plugins, only with large amounts of errors in return, so I'm hoping someone could guide me from downloading the right version to installing it, and being able to press "RUN", and see a simple Hello World in JSP/JSF work.     On Wordpress, I keep getting irrelevant search results. Some search strings that do not exist on the DB yield All Posts as results. Some search strings that DO exist, works great. What could be the cause of that behavior? I've uninstalled all related plugins. Is there a way to debug the search? Thanks!

As a input tool for the editorial team, we use TinyMCE for normal text plus a couple of custom plugins for footnotes and citations. But we are not really happy with TinyMCEs table controls. Everything but the most simple tables take way to long to write. Are there any specialized table editing tools for the browser out there?

  • Conflicts with jQuery and the ToolkitScirptManager?

    It just started experimenting with the ajax.net ToolkitScirptManager and it works fine but then I realized that it is breaking my ajax calls I'm doing using the jQuery library. I'm guessing that it is the issue with the $ symbol, does anyone have anythoughts on how to use both libraries. I don't want to use jquery's noconflict mode because we use other jquery plugins that I'm afraid won't work. Any thoughts?
