    How do you load a view on top of another view in the iPad like in the wordpress app when it asks you to setup your blog. Can you show or post me some sample code. I have an NSUSerdefaults setup so it will display this on the first launch.     Please, I am not a programmer, all I want to do is use iframes on my wordpress blog which is validating as xhtml 1.1. If I use the iframe I am not validating.   • 2 roles, admin and user. Is using anything other than basic http auth overkill?

    I'm building my first website with rails,it consists of a blog, a few static pages and a photo gallery. The admin section has namespaced controllers. I also want to create a mailing list, collecting contact info, (maybe a spree store in the future too.) Should I just use basic http authentication and check if the user is admin? Or is a plugin like authlogic better, then define user roles even though there would only be two; admin and user?

  • How do you override ProgramFilesFolder in an msi?

    I have an msi file that I am trying to install in a place other than C:\Program Files. The directory table shows that ProgramFilesFolder is used as the default install directory. From reading this blog post I understand that ProgramFilesFolder is a standard directory so passing TARGETDIR as a property to the installer will not change the install location even through the directory table has it as the parent of ProgramFilesFolder. How can I override the install location? I am a total novice in this area.

  • Jquery slider going the wrong way

    Im using a jquery slider and having an issue with what direction it scrolls on click. It seems to screw up after clicking the right arrow then left, but will scroll left if clicked first, weird. Is this a bug or am I missing something here?     I've been playing with the -webkit-box-reflect property in Chrome and can achieve a reflection that fades with the following code (it's example code from the Webkit blog): -webkit-box-reflect: below 5px -webkit-gradient( linear, left top, left bottom, from(transparent), color-stop(0.5, transparent), to(white) ); Problem is, I want to set the opacity for the mask to a more subtle setting, but it seems to be choking on rgba(). Has anybody been able to successfully get different levels of opacity? Any help is appreciated, thanks!
