• Windows [C++] - Creating new folders if they don't exist for fopen

  I have a C++ program that takes user input for fopen in order to initiate a file write. Could someone help me find a function which will return a FILE* and use the Windows specific version of mkdir in order to create the folder structure for fopen to never fail to open a new file in the specified location because one of the folders does not exist. • Inserting "£" in a string to a text file

  iPhone Application writes data to a text file, saves it on the Documnets folder. Great that works If I place "£" in the string, or use [currencyStyle stringFromNumber] the text file will not be created. The "£" and the [currencyStyle stringFromNumber] works if the information is printed to a "New View" page on the simulator, pound and all Can someone please explain what's happening?

I know latency over local wifi is probably fine but what are the issues with latency over GPRS/3G?   Basic question, sorry. Basically, I have a script that creates a MySQL entry each time someone visits the page. A logging script. However, I want to make it autoprune after, say, 100 visits. For example in pseudo code: if amount of rows > 100 { delete rows 1+ until amount of rows == 100 } So in a nutshell, each time a new row is added after 100, it needs to automatically remove the row with the smallest id (My primary key).

• Can we call methods of non-static classes without an object in Java?

  In Java, the wrapper class Integer has the static method parseInt() which is used like this: Integer.parseInt(). I thought only methods of static classes could be called like this (ie. Class.doMethod()). All non-static classes need objects to be instantiated to use their methods. I checked the API, and apparently Integer is declared as public final Integer - not static. Someone please help me understand this.

  I'm getting the following line in the disassembly from objdump -d of an x86 linux program... 4000b0: ba 0e 00 00 00 mov $0xe,%edx I'm trying to understand how the machine code "ba 0e 00 00 00" maps to "mov $0xe,%edx" In the manual move immediate 32-bit is: B8 + rd ... MOV r32, imm32 ie "B8" not "BA" In fact none of the MOV opcodes are "BA". If someone could break down "ba 0e 00 00 00" and explain bit-wise how to get to "mov $0xe,%edx" it would be most helpful.

How do I get the button bar to remain at the bottom, while the center section scrolls when it is long enough?
