But my consoleapp crashs when i call the cgi script. So i did a little debuging and write a text file after some actions i do in my .net program. The result was that my programm crash everytime i'd like to open a access mdb file. It told me that i need the Microsoft Data Access Components (MDAC). But i cant belive this message because my .net consoleapp runs without errors if i start it from my own. So can anybody give me some advise how i can call my .net consol ab through a webscript. I'm happy for every advise So it don't have to be a solution using a cgi script. Regards, Nico

    I'm a new Python programmer who is having a little trouble using 'self' in classes. For example: class data: def __init__(self): self.table = [] def add(self, file): self.table.append(file) data.add('yes') In this function I want to have table be a variable stored in the class data and use add to modify it. However, when I run this script it gives me the error: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/Projects/Python/sfdfs.py", line 7, in <module> data.add('yes') TypeError: add() takes exactly 2 positional arguments (1 given) I assume that I am trying to call the function the wrong way in this instance, as this syntax is very similar to an example in the python documentation: http://docs.python.org/3.1/tutorial/classes.html

    Hi, I am using a PreferenceActivity to show some settings for my application. I am inflating the settings via a xml file so that my onCreate (and complete class methods) looks like this: public class FooActivity extends PreferenceActivity { @Override public void onCreate(Bundle icicle) { super.onCreate(icicle); addPreferencesFromResource(R.xml.preference); } } The javadoc of PreferenceActivity states, that These preferences will automatically save to SharedPreferences as the user interacts with them. To retrieve an instance of SharedPreferences that the preference hierarchy in this activity will use, call getDefaultSharedPreferences(android.content.Context) with a context in the same package as this activity. But how I get the name of the SharedPreference in another Activity? I can only call getSharedPreferences(name, mode) in the other activity but I need the name of the SharedPreference which was used by the PreferenceActivity. What is the name or how can i retrieve it?

  • iPhone SDK: Audio Queue control

    Hi all, I am new to the audio queue services so I have taken an example from a book called iPhone Cool Projects where it describes how to stream audio. I want to extend this to being able to play a continuous playlist of links to mp3 files like an internet radio. The problem with the example code it that it does not detect when a stream ends and does not call AudioQueueStop at any point, so I added a counter to number of buffers added to the queue, and then decrement this counter each time audioQueueOutputCallback is called by the queue. This works fine except if when the buffer count goes to 0, and then I add a call AudioQueueFlush(audioQueue) and then AudioQueueStop(audioQueue, false) I get an error. The first time it plays an audio file it queues up the buffers and then plays sound, but doesn't callback to delete them until some 100 or more have been played. Can anyone explain this behavior? I read that there was a limit of 1 audio queue for MP3 playback for the iPhone. Is that still true? If not then I suppose I should use another audio queue for the next mp3 stream. I've had a look through the apple docs but it doesn't explain this in any particular detail. A better insight into this would be great. TIA.

    I'm trying to display a photo on my facebook connected website. From Facebook's documentation you just need to use valid XFBML and a fb:photo tag as such: <div id="myPhoto"> <fb:photo pid="12345"></fb:photo> </div> My problem is that doesn't render anything when I call: FB.XFBML.Host.parseDomElement(document.getElementById("myPhoto")); If I call the same XFBML on a regular facebook page, it displays without problem, the bug is only on a separated website using facebook connect. Also, I don't get any JS errors. Any help would be appreciated

    I have a file called config.yml in my /config folder of my rails application. I also have an initializer: config/initializers/load_config.rb with the following code: APP_CONFIG = YAML.load_file("#{RAILS_ROOT}/config/config.yml") I am using the Whenever gem to set up a cron job, and would like to use my APP_CONFIG to call a function like so: #inside schedule.rb every 2.hours do runner "MyModel.someMethod('#{APP_CONFIG['some_value']}')" end but the Whenever gem doesn't seem to recognize the config file when I call whenever --update-crontab mysite How can I incorporate values from my configuration in my schedule.rb file (instead of hard-coding the value)?     Hi, Could anyone please help me with this? I have a web page using .manifest for offline storage caching. In that page, I use jQuery ajax call to get the data from the server. If I first load the page, it is OK. I can switch between Online and Offline. But the problem is when I go back online and refresh the page. jQuery ajax cannot be able to talk to server anymore. Is there a way to for ajax to talk to the server or clear offline cache?     For some reason this year some of my peers decided to vote for me as a contender for Visual Studio ALM MVP of the year. I am not sure what I did to deserve this, but a number of people have commented that I have a rather useful blog. I feel wholly unworthy to join the ranks of previous winners: Ed Blankenship (2010) Martin Woodward (2009) Thank you to everyone who voted regardless of who you voted for. If there was a prize for the best group of MVP’s then the Visual Studio ALM MVP would be a clear winner, as would the product group of product groups that is Visual Studio ALM Group. To use a phrase that I have learned since moving to Seattle and probably use too much: you guys are all just awesome. I have tried my best in the last year to document not only every problem that I have had with Team Foundation Server (TFS), but also to document as many of the things I am doing as possible. I have taken some of Adam Cogan’s rules to heart and when a customer asks me a question I always blog the answer and send them a link. This allows both my blog and my understanding of TFS to grow while creating a useful bank of content. The idea is that if one customer asks, all benefit. I try, when writing for my blog, to capture both the essence and the context for a problem being solved. This allows more people to benefit as they do not need to understand the specifics of an environment to gain value. I have a number of goals for this year that I think will help increase value in the community: persuade my new colleagues at Northwest Cadence to do more blogging (Steve, Jeff, Shad and Rennie) Rangers Project – TFS Iteration Automation with Willy-Peter Schaub, Bill Essary, Martin Hinshelwood, Mike Fourie, Jeff Bramwell and Brian Blackman Write a book on the Team Foundation Server API with Willy-Peter Schaub, Mike Fourie and Jeff Bramwell write more useful blog posts I do not think that these things are beyond the realms of do-ability, but we will see…

    Hello, I am doing some work which involves drawing video frames in real time in OpenGL ES. Right now I am using glTexImage2D to transfer the data, in the absence of Pixel Buffer Objects and the like. I suspect that the use of glTexImage2D with one or two frames of look-ahead, that is, using several textures so that the glTexImage2D call can be initiated a frame or two ahead, will allow for sufficient parallelism to play in real time if the system is capable of it at all. Is my assumption true that the driver will handle the actual data transfer to the hardware asynchronously after glTexImage2D returns, assuming I don't try to use the texture or call glFinish/glFlush? Is there a better way to do this with OpenGL ES? Thank you very much, Sean

  • Incompatibilities between Indy 9 and Windows Server 2003?

    I'm having a problem with a Delphi application on some Windows 2003 servers. It uses a webservice call to connect with another server and transmit data back and forth. As soon as the app gets to the Authenticate method, the app dies. The app has worked for years on previous boxes with Win Server 2003, but it doesn't on freshly built machines. The machines are set up the same way for the most part, but there is clearly some config setting that differs that I'm not able to track down. Also, while the error becomes apparent in the call to Authenticate, packet sniffing proves that nothing ever happens between the app and the server it's trying to contact, which strengthens my thoughts that something is dieing early on in setting up the connection. I can't duplicate the error locally, so I can't step through the app in a debugger either. Any thoughts on why an Indy 9 Delphi web connection might silently fail?

  • Linux Kernel - Refreshing VFS Dentry Cache

    I wrote a system call that opens a directory and gets the file object and the dentry struct. Im trying to list all entries including entries in subdirectories using the list_for_each() macro. The problem is its only displaying whats currently in the dentry cache. If I open the directory with nautilus then rerun the system call, all the entries are listed. Is there a way to check the exact list of entries or refresh the cache? f = s_open(tpath); fle = fget(f); d = fle->f_path.dentry; list_for_each ( position , &d->d_subdirs ) { dtmp = list_entry(position, struct dentry, d_u.d_child); ... } sys_close(f);

  • RenderAction not finding action method in current controller in current area

    I'm creating an ASP.NET MVC 2 (RTM) project that uses areas. The Index action of the Home controller of one area needs to use RenderAction to generate a sub-section of the page. The action called is also defined in the same Home controller. So the call should just be: <% Html.RenderAction("List") %> However, I get an exception: A public action method 'List' was not found on controller 'RareBridge.Web.Areas.Events.Controllers.HomeController'. Note that I'm not in the "Events" area! I'm in a completely different area. If I remove the "Events" home controller, then the exception still occurs but names a different controller (still not the one I want it to call). I've also tried providing the controller name and area to the RenderAction method, but the same exception occurs. What is going on here? BTW: I am using Autofac as my IoC container

    Hello, I have a comprehension question about Android Services. I have a Service that performs background http operations and a Activity that should display the current state of these http operations. So I implementet the Binder interface and so on. I can call the bindService method and onServiceConnected of my ServiceConnnection is getting called. But as far as I know, onBind doesn't calls onStartCommand() and so onStart() of the Service is never called. So how can I call the onStart() method of the service class and start my operations. Or how is the best way to start my operations in the service, when I also want a binding between the Activity and the Service.

But how can I create Event.music.count() ? Should I call self.all() in count_music() function of MusicManager to query only on elements with 'Music' category or do I still need to filter through them in search for category first ?
