• Windows Web Server 2008 R2 Server Core local password complexity

  How can I disable the local user account password complexity settings on Windows 2008 R2 "Server Core"? I am trying to migrate our windows 2003 web server to windows 2008 R2. I am trying to see if I can use the "Server Core" install, and it has been a very internet search intensive experience. What I can't find out how to do is to find out how to disable password complexity for local user accounts. While our user account generator currently creates nice strong passwords, there was a time when this was not the case and unfortunately forcing the users to change their password is not an option at this time. • Running Jetty 7 server in eclipse?

  I'm trying to set up Eclipse to run and deploy my projects to a Jetty 7 server (the oldest version available from http://download.eclipse.org/jetty/). I've downloaded Jetty 7 and unpacked it, and I've installed the Jetty plugin from the available server adapters list, but when I try to configure a new Jetty server, the server type list only contains "Jetty 6".   I am trying to display my events from a MySQL database. I'm using the events function. My XML file being returned is pretty basic. I've looked at all of the FullCalendar questions and most of them talk about JSON and point to the documentation for JSON. I can't use JSON. I have to go XML. Can you tell me where I'm off. Here is a sample of what my xml looks like: Grow Your Business on the Web 2010-06-05T9:30 2010-06-05T12:30 O The whole file is prefaced with a tag and closed with a tag. • Unable to debug XBAP with Visual Studio 2010

  Just migrated my project to Visual Studio 2010, but target framework was left 3.5. Project contains an XBAP app in partial trust and a bunch of WCF services. Debugging is configured to start PresentationHost.exe with -debug and -debugSecurityZoneUrl parameters. Under VS2008 everything works fine, and in VS2010 Beta2 (don't sure about RC), but under VS2010 RTM debugging is for some reason doesn't working. Application runs, but doesn't hit any breakpoint. And if for example exception occurs, message box appears "Do you wish to debug or close..." and after I choose "debug" option new weird message box appears: --------------------------- Warning --------------------------- A debugger is attached to PresentationHost.exe but not configured to debug this unhandled exception. To debug this exception, detach the current debugger. An unhandled exception was raised from Microsoft .NET Framework v 1.0, 1.1, or 2.0, but the current debugger is configured to debug Microsoft .NET Framework v4.0 code. Examine the exception using the SOS tool. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- And where is the vaunted multitargeting? Did anyone have already bumped into same issue? UPDATE: Tried to debug with "Start browser with URL" option. Debugging is working, but I get SecurityException. So it is possible, just need to figure out how to make it work with "Start external program" option.   Hello, I have a message box pop up when a certain operation is being executed sort of "wait..." window and I want to have a "loading" *.gif animation there to lighten up the mood :) Anyways I can't seem to figure out how to make this work. It's a complete mess.   Hi All, I am trying to concatenate two video files with the gnonlin components of the gstreamer. Tried several things and also searched on google but I could not figure out the problem with the above command. Can anyone point what i am doing wrong? • Remove automatic Aero disabling in Windows 7

  Sometimes when I'm playing games which are heavy on the GPU, Windows decides to helpfully disable aero, causing everything to freeze for a bit and in the worst case, combined with ATI's brilliant drivers, causes the game to crash. So, How do I stop Windows from automatically disabling Aero when playing games? It has absolutely no effect on the performance of the game itself when it does that. Also, I'd like to get rid of the "You should disable Aero to improve performance" helpful hint popup which sometimes shows up. But I suppose getting rid of the first will get rid of the second, assuming anyone knows how.

But strangely 'The smooth animated scroll' stopped working in safari and chrome(scrolling without smooth animation) after I made some changes. But it is working smoothly in Firefox. I went through some headache also when we were trying to figure out how to make it work with lighttpd. this is the line that helps make it work in lighttpd. url.rewrite-once = ( ".*\?(.*)$" => "/index.php?$1", "^/js/.*$" => "$0", "^.*\.(js|ico|gif|jpg|png|css|swf |jar|class)$" => "$0", "" => "/index.php" ) but I couldn't figure out how to make it works in NginX. The webserver run just fine when we use the phpinfo.php test file. However as soon as I point it to my apps, nothing comes up. Check the error.log file and there's no error. Very mind boggling. I spent over 1 week trying to figure it out with no luck.. Please help?

• iPhone SDK: How to centre content in a UIScrollView during setZoomScale?

  I'm using a UIScrollView to show photos. If they are zoomed out so they are smaller than the scroll view in one dimension then the content is centred using contentInset and contentOffset. This all works fine for scrolling and manual zooming. However, if I use setZoomScale (with animated YES) then when zooming out the scroll view sets the top left edge to 0,0 during the animation and then snaps it back afterwards. It seems like the zoom animation ignores the contentInset and contentOffset settings. Does anyone have any idea how to overcome this problem? Thanks, Russell.

  I'm starting to experiment with Sonar, and having trouble. I'm running everything on the same Red Hat Linux server, against Java 1.6.10. I launched the server with "bin/linux-x86-32" (the JVM is 32-bit). The sonar.log shows no SEVERE or ERROR and one WARNING, that I'm using the default Derby database (I'll fix that once I get things running at all). I am trying to build a Maven project that builds a JAR. I made no Sonar-specific changes (other than one described below). I can run "mvn clean install" with no problem.   Hello, I would like to make a standard view container which will give me the curl animation effect on multiple views. Something like uiscrollview and paging, only with a different animation(curl). I will be using UIwebviews as my separate pages. The problem: I do not know how to trap swipes in UIwebviews, But I see that UIscrollview implments this (swiping a uiwebview in a uiscrollview will bring me to the next view). I am therefore assuming that the implmentation of UIscrollview is trapping UIwebview swipes. How can i achieve the same functionality? I also need the UIWebview to keep functioning (as when embedding it in a uiscrollview)

Now, the Java versions on the two machines are slightly different. Both the machines have Sun's java, the Linux machine has 1.6.0_10, while the Windows machine has 1.6.0_08, or maybe 07 or 06, I can't remember the exact number right now, and don't have the machine at hand. But even though the minor versions of the Javas are slightly different, the code shouldn't break like this. Does anyone understand what's wrong here?

  OS: Windows 7 64bit I want to share my laptop's internet connection between my PC and my Android device. But I can only do one of them at a time. The laptop is connected to internet wirelessly. The PC is connected to the laptop using a Ethernet cable and internet is shared between them. I want to connect my mobile device to my laptop by making the laptop into a Wi-Fi hotspot. PC (Ethernet) == Laptop (connected to net by Wi-Fi) <== Mobile device (Wi-Fi hotspot) I have 3 connections in my laptop: Wireless Network Connection (internet - shared) Local area connection (PC) Wireless Network Connection 2 (Wi-Fi hotspot) Every time I have to disable either the LAN to get the Wi-Fi hotspot working, or disable the Wi-Fi hotspot to get LAN working. How can I share so I can use both at the same time?

• iPhone - Dismiss modal view by a UITabBarController

  Hi everyone, I've got into a very strange problem. I created my own UITabBarController to customize it and it works pretty well... except for the modal views. When I dismiss the modal view (present/dismiss from the UITabBarController) with an animation, it waits until the animation did finished and goes to the first controller of the tab bar! Why does the controller change? and how can I fix it? Thanks PS: My UITabBarController view is on the main window and has a UITabBar on it. The controllers (which are managed by the tab bar) are on the main window over the tab bar controller view with a shorter height. When I present the modal view, I bring the tab bar controller view to front.

  Hi, Scenario: If i try to start the server as a window service it gives an error stating that ceradentials are not correct.However on correcting the credentials in boot.properties when i try to start the server again it gives the same error.Any alternative for starting the server.I gave the same username and password in my startup Script and Boot.properties.
