  • Including MSVRC100.dll in C++ exe

    I created a simple C executable in Visual C++ 2010, but when others tried it they got a missing MSVCR100.dll error. Apparently, the user needs to install the Visual C++ Redistributable Package in order to run the exe. Is there any way I can instead include MSVCR100.dll inside the exe (so it's just one file, not sitting in the same folder) so people can just run the executable and have it work? Thanks for your help.

  • msysgit - sh.exe - fork: Permission denied - Vista 64 bit

    I installed msysgit on other Windows machines with no problems. On this Vista 64 bit Ultimate box, I installed the 3 most recent versions of msysgit. On all three installs, when I do a "git bash here", I get exactly this on the command window: sh.exe": fork: Permission denied sh.exe"-3.1$ NThe git command doesn't work. I get the same permission denied message. Any clues as to how to fix this?

    i hear that NTFS alternate data streams can be used to hide running executabes. eg supporse i have an exe called hiddenProgram.exe on windows xp,using cmd.exe or system(char*) calls in c, type hiddenProgram.exe > c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe:hiddenProgram.exe start c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe:hiddenProgram.exe starts svchost and at the same time hiddenProgram.exe but hiddenProgam.exe is not displayed in windows task manager!! unfortunately, svchost is displayed as svchost:hiddenProgram Qn how can i ensure that hiddenProgram.exe is hidden totally in task manager.

The only hitch is that my script has the line import random which works fine when I run the script through ipy.exe, but when I attempt to build and run an exe from the script in SharpDevelop, I always get the message: IronPython.Runtime.Exceptions.ImportException: No module named random Why isn't SharpDevelop 'seeing' random? How can I make it see it?

I have checked that csc.exe is also exist in the .net frame work folder. When i change compiler version 3.5 to 2.0 it starts working but My 3.5 Features are not available there like LINQ.     I have developed a web application (ASP.NET Web Forms). One of my customer has very restrictive policies. When he accesses the web page, IE shows this message: Your security settings do not allow Web sites to use ActiveX controls installed on your computer. This page may not display correctly. As far as I know, we don't use ActiveX controls on our page. I did a "View Souce" and did not find anything suspect. How can I find what part of my page refers to an ActiveX. The application uses jQuery and a few jQuery plug-ins. Is there a tool/add-in like "Fire Bug" that I can use to list the ActiveX controls referred on a page?
