  • Get the file path of the current app

    - by dummy
The reason I asked this question is that I wanted to create a helper class for Remoting instantiation, and wanted to pass the appropriate app.exe.config (or web.config) file path to the RemotingConfiguration.Configure method, depending on the caller. Is there a way I could get the name of the config file for both Win and Web apps without checking if the application is Web or WinForms?

  • Parsing incoming mail with google app engine?

We have our mail setup with google apps. We want to be able to run some regular expressions on incoming mail and process this information. Is this possible today with Google App Engine? Does google provide some kind of infrastructure that can do this?

  • A/B testing on App Engine?

    - by Silver Dragon
What would be the simplest implementation of an A/B testing system running on App engine? I'm especially keen towards performance implications of using Datastore for back-end (with looong query times), and database design.

  • google app engine persistent globals

    - by Joey
Hi, I'm looking for a way to keep the equivalent of persistent global variables in app engine (python). What I'm doing is creating a global kind that I initialize once (i.e. when I reset all my database objects when I'm testing). I have things in there like global counters, or the next id to assign certain kinds I create. Is this a decent way to do this sort of thing or is there generally another approach that is used?

  • JSON serialization of Google App Engine models

    - by user111677
I've been search for quite a while with no success. My project isn't using Django, is there a simple way to serialize App Engine models (google.appengine.ext.db.Model) into JSON or do I need to write my own serializer? My model class is fairly simple. For instance: class Photo(db.Model): filename = db.StringProperty() title = db.StringProperty() description = db.StringProperty(multiline=True) date_taken = db.DateTimeProperty() date_uploaded = db.DateTimeProperty(auto_now_add=True) album = db.ReferenceProperty(Album, collection_name='photo') Thanks in advance.

  • Google App Engine 1.3.1 <admin-console> Issue

    - by Taylor L
I attempted to add an <admin-console> section to my appengine-web.xml and I got the exception below. The <admin-console> element is a valid element according to the appengine-web.xsd. It's also documented in the app engine docs.
