  • Aquaterm: titles and axis labels getting cut off

    I'm using aquaterm 1.0.1 through octave and gnuplot - on my mac - to generate printable plots. When aquaterm generates my plots, it has a habit of cutting off or cropping all of the titles and axis labels. Is there another imaging program that works with octave that won't have this problem? Or are there other fixes I haven't thought of?

  • PHP turn off errors - in one file only

    Hi! I am well aware about error_reporting(0); & ini_set('display_errors', "Off"); to make error messages go away. What would be an appropriate way to do this - for a specific file or part of code only? Surpressing errors with @'s seems like a bad idea since it apparently slows the code down... Thanks!

  • Sharepoint Web Part validation set off by Publishing Controls

    I have a web part which uses validation on a textbox field to prevent submission of an empty field. When clicking on Check In to Share Draft or Publish, this validation is done, and since I am not actually trying to submit the form, but rather check it in, I'd rather this didn't happen. How can I achieve this? This does not work (nor does any variant of it): ' title='<%# Container.DataItem["EventTime"].ToString("hh:mm:ss tt", CultureInfo.InvariantCulture) % Evantually, we want the title/hover for the link to read something like "4:30 PM : @Forbes Field" Everything is working with the exception of the 1/1/1900 being in front of the 4:30 How do I get the date off that EventTime datetime field?

  • How do I allow mysqld to use more than 24.9% of my cpu?

    I have a Web server running on RHEL that is running Apache and MySQL. It has a Quad core 3.2Ghz Xeon CPU and 8 Gigs of RAM Most of the time, we don't have any issues at all. Our web application is very database intensive. When our usage gets pretty heavy MySQL will peg out at using 24.9% of the cpu. Most of the time, it hangs around below 5%. I have speculated that it is only using one core of the CPU and it is pegging out that core but TOP shows me in the cpu column that mysqld changes cores even while the usage stays at 24.9%. When it does this MySQL gets painfully slow as it is queuing up queries Is there some magic configuration that will tell mysql to use more cpu when it needs to? Also, any other advice on my configuration would be helpful. We run two applications on this server. One that runs Innodb but doesn't get much usage (it has been replaced by the other app), and one that runs MyIsam and gets lots of use. Overall, our whole mysql data directory is something like 13Gigs if that matters at all.   • Exporting to PNG from Adobe Illustrator cutting off edges

    I created a 40px x 40px image in Adobe Illustrator CS4. I saved as an .ai file and then tried to export as a PNG. Adobe Illustrator automatically crops the background and tightens the export to a rect around all the objects which if fine. In this case, I am not working edge to edge so my image is not quite 40px wide. But, unfortunately, Illustrator is not exporting the entire image. I end up with an image that is 34px wide. Indeed, the icon I draw starts on the left hand side but the right edge of my object cut off. Any ideas why this is happening? I can't imagine Illustrator CS4 can't correctly to export to PNG.

  • How do I turn off accelerometer input for my flipside view

    I have an iPhone 3.1.3 app which has only 2 methods of input in its main view. It has an info button to switch to a flipside view, and the only other input it takes in the main view is accelerometer movement. I want to switch off the accelerometer input when in the flipside view but haven't been able to find out how. I have the main view controller set as an accelerometer delegate, but did not do the same for the flipside view controller, though I suspect that it inherited it from the main view controller. I am really new to xcode and objective c, I have been reading these forums and a couple of developer books, but if anyone has any tips on other good places to look, please let me know.

    Hello, For a private project using the iPhone SDK (not for the app store), I would like to toggle wifi on & off. I've done something similar for Bluetooth, but can't find the required information for Wifi. I assume I need to use the MobileWifi framework. Can anyone give some directions and/or code? Most likely I expect I need a header file for the MobileWifi framework as well. Note once again, this is not for the app store, as Apple will not allow apps that use private frameworks such as this.
