    In Photoshop you can adjust the hue, saturation and lightness of an image with three sliders. ImageMagick you can modulate the brightness, saturation, and hue. Minimizing the saturation correctly produces a black and white image in both programs. Maxing out the saturation appears close, but ImageMagick appears to soften some of the blown out edges while Photoshop will expose more the the compression artifacts. How can I accurately reproduce Photoshop's saturation changes from within ImageMagick, or other command line tool.

I thought of various alternative: Storing a log in a TextField, open it and update it every time the model is saved. Alternatively pickle a list and store it in a TextField. Save logs on hard drive.   • Eclipse classpath does not update changes in Project Properties

    I am using Eclipse 3.4.1 Build M20080911-1700 I have tried to change the classpath directories for jar and the source directory using the Project Properties - Java Build Path - Libraries Tab or Source Tab. When I click OK button and then return to the properties page, my changes were not applied. I have to resort in the work around by manually changing the eclipse ".classpath" project settings file. Any ideas?

    I have seen where changes have been made on one code file by two developers code like this: x++ End up like this: x++ x++ where due to carriage returns being inserted/removed (I think) one line has become silently merged as two lines of the same code (no conflicts) Everything compiles but suddenly tests are failing and weird behaviour ensues. But practice dictates that developer should use either NSBinaryStoreType, NSInMemoryStoreType or NSSQLiteStoreType store types in release builds. How do you manage changes between debug and release builds? I believe that changing store type from NSXMLTypeStore to, say, NSBinaryStoreType in code on each release is kinda cumbersome.

    I have two versions of a product and am using separate Hg repositories for each. I have made a change to one (v1.0) and I want to pull just that change into the v2.0 repository. How do I go about this? As far as I can tell, using hg pull -f -r xxxxx \\server\hg\v1.0 will pull in all changes up to the specified revision which isn't what I want. Is this possible or will I have to add the fix by hand?

    I have a list of numbers I am reading left to right. Anytime I encounter a sign change when reading the sequence I want to count it. X = [-3,2,7,-4,1,-1,1,6,-1,0,-2,1] X = [-, +, +, -, +, -, +, +, -, -,-,+] So, in this list there are 8 sign changes. When Item [0] (in this case -3) is negative it is considered a sign change. Also, any 0 in the list is considered [-]. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Why does Code::Blocks constantly changes my language?

    On my there are two set languages, which are English and Russian, and English is the default set language. Yet every time I leave Code::Blocks and click on the window again, the program automatically changes the language to Russian, which not only is it annoying, but it doesn't make much sense. Does anyone have any idea why it's going on and how to get rid of this pest? So far that's the best C++ IDE I have found and I don't want to ditch it due to such a nasty annoyance.
