  • Parsing glGetShaderInfoLog() to get error info. Is this reliable, or is there a better way?

    - by m4ttbush
    I want to get a list of errors and their line numbers so I can display the error information different to how it's formatted in the error string, and also show the line in error. It looks easy enough to just parse the result of glGetShaderInfoLog(), look for "ERROR:" then read the next number up to : and then the next, and then the error description up to the next newline. But the OpenGL docs say "Application developers should not expect different OpenGL implementations to produce identical information logs." Which makes me worry that my code may behave incorrectly on different systems. I don't need them to be identical, I just need them to follow the same format. So is there a better way to get a list of errors with line number separate, is it safe to assume that they'll always follow the "ERROR: 0:123:" format, or is there simply no reliable way to do this? Thanks!

  • Send some form info to a PHP page to be processed without going to that page? [closed]

    - by zuko
    Okay, so I'm not very familiar with php. I have a very simple form, just 2 text fields. All I want to do is, after validating with JavaScript, send these two string fields in an email to a pre-defined email address. I understand how JavaScript works on the client side; you can respond to user events, etc. And PHP is server-side. What I'm having trouble grasping and figuring out is how do I run PHP functions, etc when I want? I figured out how to use the 'action' attribute of the form to send the data via POST to another PHP page. But this simply opens that page. I don't want to open the page I just want to do some processing and send a message back to the page the user is still on. How do I go about something like that? Thanks.

  • VMware "boot screen" - add info like contact, phone number, etc.?

    - by TheCleaner
    I've tried searching Google and VMware's KB but maybe I'm not typing the right search criteria...only finding ways to fix problems with booting or screen issues. On the default boot screen of a host it looks similar to this picture from GIS: I'm curious if it is possible somehow to make it look like this instead (adding custom details): I know for the most part the info is "useless" since it is administered remotely, etc. But when I deploy standalone hosts to branch offices, it'd be nice for them to see this type of info on the boot screen. I may also include the VMs hosted on it (again on standalone hosts). Normal monitoring, etc. will be done remotely. This is strictly for odd times when the branch contact may say "the electricians are saying they need to turn off this circuit but I have no idea who to call in IT to tell them this box needs to be shut down" or similar. Anyone who has dealt with small branch offices can tell you that if it isn't labeled they easily forget what it is for and will simply say after the incident "I didn't know what it was or who to call." Possible?

  • Which credentials should I put in for Google App Engine BulkLoader at development server?

    - by Hoang Pham
    Hello everyone, I would like to ask which kind of credentials do I need to put on for importing data using the Google App Engine BulkLoader class appcfg.py upload_data --config_file=models.py --filename=listcountries.csv --kind=CMSCountry --url=http://localhost:8178/remote_api vit/ And then it asks me for credentials: Please enter login credentials for localhost Here is an extraction of the content of the models.py, I use this listcountries.csv file class CMSCountry(db.Model): sortorder = db.StringProperty() name = db.StringProperty(required=True) formalname = db.StringProperty() type = db.StringProperty() subtype = db.StringProperty() sovereignt = db.StringProperty() capital = db.StringProperty() currencycode = db.StringProperty() currencyname = db.StringProperty() telephonecode = db.StringProperty() lettercode = db.StringProperty() lettercode2 = db.StringProperty() number = db.StringProperty() countrycode = db.StringProperty() class CMSCountryLoader(bulkloader.Loader): def __init__(self): bulkloader.Loader.__init__(self, 'CMSCountry', [('sortorder', str), ('name', str), ('formalname', str), ('type', str), ('subtype', str), ('sovereignt', str), ('capital', str), ('currencycode', str), ('currencyname', str), ('telephonecode', str), ('lettercode', str), ('lettercode2', str), ('number', str), ('countrycode', str) ]) loaders = [CMSCountryLoader] Every tries to enter the email and password result in "Authentication Failed", so I could not import the data to the development server. I don't think that I have any problem with my files neither my models because I have successfully uploaded the data to the appspot.com application. So what should I put in for localhost credentials? • How to I "scan" a website(or page) for info, and bring it into my program?

    - by James
    Well, I'm pretty much trying to figure out how to pull information from a webpage, and bring it into my program(in Java). For example, if I know the exact page I want info from, for the sake of simplicity a Best Buy item page, how would I get the appropriate info I need off of that page? Like the title, price, description? What would this process even be called? I have no idea were to even began researching this :'(

  • Adobe Coldfusion Railo OpenBD Apache Tomcat Multiple Sites

    - by chris hough
    Here's what I am trying to do, unless I am crazy: I am trying to use Tomcat with the multiple workers, so far I got OpenBD working, but having trouble with Railo, and will be tackling Adobe after. each engine deployed as a war separated by different workers I wanted to keep both the sites and engines inside my sites directory I have to remap the symlink for the WEB-INF when I switch engines = have not found a way around this my thought is to have everything separated into modules and I want to be able to execute both cfm and php code in a single site.  Ideally, it would be amazing if there would be a way to not have to remap the symlink as well. thoughts? can this be done? I am trying to mimic how this would be setup on a live server, not using eclipse for example. here is what I am working with so far: my apache workers.properties worker.list=openbd, openbdadmin, railo, railoadmin  worker.openbd.type=ajp13  worker.openbd.host=local.mydev.openbd  worker.openbd.port=8009 worker.openbdadmin.type=ajp13  worker.openbdadmin.host=local.admin.openbd worker.openbdadmin.port=8009   worker.railo.type=ajp13  worker.railo.host=local.mydev.railo  worker.railo.port=8009 worker.railoadmin.type=ajp13  worker.railoadmin.host=local.admin.railo worker.railoadmin.port=8009   my tomcat servers.xml < Host name="local.admin.openbd" appBase="/Users/[myusername]/Websites/coldfusion.engines"  unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false"        < Context path="" docBase="openbd/" reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host        < Host name="local.admin.railo"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines" unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false"        < Context path="" docBase="railo/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host < Host name="local.mydev.openbd"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines" unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false" < Context path="" docBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true"< /Context < /Host < Host name="local.mydev.railo"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines"  unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false" < Context path="" docBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host my apache vhosts ServerName local.admin.openbd DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines/openBD/ #Mount OpenBD and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm openbdadmin ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_openbdadmin_error.log" ServerName local.admin.railo DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines/railo/ #Mount Railo and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm railoadmin ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_railoadmin_error.log" ServerName local.mydev DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_error.log" ServerName local.mydev.openbd DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot #Mount OpenBD and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm openbd ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_openbd_error.log" ServerName local.mydev.railo DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot JkMount /*.cfm railo ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_railo_error.log" my folder structure I am using websites/apache.logs/ websites/coldfusion.engines/ websites/coldfusion.engines/cfusion/ websites/coldfusion.engines/openBD/ websites/coldfusion.engines/railo/ websites/example.mydev/ websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/ websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.cfm   websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.htm   websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.php   error log output [Thu Aug 27 00:54:50.443 2009] [11279:2686719776] [info] init_jk::mod_jk.c (3183): mod_jk/1.2.28 initialized [Thu Aug 27 00:54:51.346 2009] [11280:2686719776] [info] init_jk::mod_jk.c (3183): mod_jk/1.2.28 initialized [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [info] jk_open_socket::jk_connect.c (594): connect to 127.0.0.1:8009 failed (errno=61) [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [info] ajp_connect_to_endpoint::jk_ajp_common.c (922): Failed opening socket to (127.0.0.1:8009) (errno=61) [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [error] ajp_send_request::jk_ajp_common.c (1507): (openbdadmin) connecting to backend failed.   • Supervisor sentry-web exit status 1

    - by rockingskier
    I'm having problems getting Sentry (https://www.getsentry.com - not enough rep for a link) running as a service using supervisor. I can run Sentry in the command line and view it correctly in the browser but when it comes to supervisor I am completely in the dark. I shall try and give all the details I can Initial user warning By no means a server admin, just playing/learning in VirtualBox. Literally only just discovered supervisor from reading the Sentry documentation so I may well be making some obvious mistakes here. The setup: Ubuntu server 11.10 (fresh install, VirtualBox) virtualenv with Sentry and its dependencies. supervisor Instructions followed Supervisor with vanilla ini file Sentry/supervisor instructions My supervisor ini (Sentry section) [program:sentry-web] directory=/root/.virtualenvs/sentry/ command= start http /root/.virtualenvs/sentry/bin/sentry autostart=true autorestart=true redirect_stderr=true OK so here we go: When I run supervisord -n I get the following messages rather than a nice web interface to play with. 2012-04-12 23:48:09,024 CRIT Supervisor running as root (no user in config file) 2012-04-12 23:48:09,097 INFO RPC interface 'supervisor' initialized 2012-04-12 23:48:09,099 CRIT Server 'unix_http_server' running without any HTTP authentication checking 2012-04-12 23:48:09,100 INFO supervisord started with pid 17813 2012-04-12 23:48:10,126 INFO spawned: 'sentry-web' with pid 17816 2012-04-12 23:48:10,169 INFO exited: sentry-web (exit status 1; not expected) 2012-04-12 23:48:11,199 INFO spawned: 'sentry-web' with pid 17817 2012-04-12 23:48:11,238 INFO exited: sentry-web (exit status 1; not expected) 2012-04-12 23:48:13,269 INFO spawned: 'sentry-web' with pid 17818 2012-04-12 23:48:13,309 INFO exited: sentry-web (exit status 1; not expected) 2012-04-12 23:48:16,343 INFO spawned: 'sentry-web' with pid 17819 2012-04-12 23:48:16,389 INFO exited: sentry-web (exit status 1; not expected) 2012-04-12 23:48:17,394 INFO gave up: sentry-web entered FATAL state, too many start retries too quickly CRIT Supervisor running as root (no user in config file) suggests a big problem, probably shouldn't be running this as root? • Unable to connect to EC2 instance after "reboot"

    - by KPL
    I am not able to connect to my m1.small instance after rebooting it. I have already associated the public IP with this instance. Upon checking the system log, this seems to be the issue: cloud-init-nonethttp://11.84: waiting 10 seconds for network device cloud-init-nonethttp://21.85: waiting 120 seconds for network device cloud-init-nonethttp://141.85: gave up waiting for a network device. I have tried this so far: Relaunch a new instance from the custom AMI (created from EBS) of the failing instance. The same error shows up in the logs. Attach a new network interface to the EC2 instance. The error still persists. eth1 shows up in the list but the "up" column is False.

  • How to enable mod_info in Apache?

    - by Amit Nagar
    I gone through the apache guide to enable to mod_info. As per doc: To configure mod_info, add the following to your httpd.conf file. Location /server-info SetHandler server-info /Location You may wish to use mod_access inside the directive to limit access to your server configuration information: Location /server-info SetHandler server-info Order deny,allow Deny from all Allow from yourcompany.com Location Once configured, the server information is obtained by accessing http://your.host.dom/server-info In my case the this link is not giving any info. Http 404 NOT FOUND error Is there anything I need to install as mod_info.c or something ? Is there anything i need to put as AddModule or something ? In Error log : File does not exist: /usr/local/apache2/htdocs/example1/server-info I have 3 virtual host. One of this as default which use example1 as Docroot dir. I am not sure where this page (server-info) should be ? in case of server-status, it's working fine

  • Adobe Coldfusion Railo OpenBD Apache Tomcat Multiple Sites

    - by chris hough
    Here's what I am trying to do, unless I am crazy: I am trying to use Tomcat with the multiple workers, so far I got OpenBD working, but having trouble with Railo, and will be tackling Adobe after. each engine deployed as a war separated by different workers I wanted to keep both the sites and engines inside my sites directory I have to remap the symlink for the WEB-INF when I switch engines = have not found a way around this my thought is to have everything separated into modules and I want to be able to execute both cfm and php code in a single site.  Ideally, it would be amazing if there would be a way to not have to remap the symlink as well. thoughts? can this be done? I am trying to mimic how this would be setup on a live server, not using eclipse for example. here is what I am working with so far: my apache workers.properties worker.list=openbd, openbdadmin, railo, railoadmin  worker.openbd.type=ajp13  worker.openbd.host=local.mydev.openbd  worker.openbd.port=8009 worker.openbdadmin.type=ajp13  worker.openbdadmin.host=local.admin.openbd worker.openbdadmin.port=8009   worker.railo.type=ajp13  worker.railo.host=local.mydev.railo  worker.railo.port=8009 worker.railoadmin.type=ajp13  worker.railoadmin.host=local.admin.railo worker.railoadmin.port=8009   my tomcat servers.xml < Host name="local.admin.openbd" appBase="/Users/[myusername]/Websites/coldfusion.engines"  unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false"        < Context path="" docBase="openbd/" reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host        < Host name="local.admin.railo"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines" unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false"        < Context path="" docBase="railo/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host < Host name="local.mydev.openbd"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines" unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false" < Context path="" docBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true"< /Context < /Host < Host name="local.mydev.railo"   appBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines"  unpackWARs="false" autoDeploy="true" xmlValidation="true" xmlNamespaceAware="false" < Context path="" docBase="/Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/"  reloadable="true" privileged="true" antiResourceLocking="false" anitJARLocking="false" allowLinking="true" < /Host my apache vhosts ServerName local.admin.openbd DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines/openBD/ #Mount OpenBD and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm openbdadmin ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_openbdadmin_error.log" ServerName local.admin.railo DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/coldfusion.engines/railo/ #Mount Railo and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm railoadmin ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_railoadmin_error.log" ServerName local.mydev DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_error.log" ServerName local.mydev.openbd DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot #Mount OpenBD and tell it to only server cfml files JkMount /*.cfm openbd ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_openbd_error.log" ServerName local.mydev.railo DocumentRoot /Users/[my username]/Websites/example.mydev/wwwroot JkMount /*.cfm railo ErrorLog "/Users/[my username]/Websites/apache.logs/local_example_mydev_railo_error.log" my folder structure I am using websites/apache.logs/ websites/coldfusion.engines/ websites/coldfusion.engines/cfusion/ websites/coldfusion.engines/openBD/ websites/coldfusion.engines/railo/ websites/example.mydev/ websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/ websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.cfm   websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.htm   websites/example.mydev/wwwroot/index.php   error log output [Thu Aug 27 00:54:50.443 2009] [11279:2686719776] [info] init_jk::mod_jk.c (3183): mod_jk/1.2.28 initialized [Thu Aug 27 00:54:51.346 2009] [11280:2686719776] [info] init_jk::mod_jk.c (3183): mod_jk/1.2.28 initialized [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [info] jk_open_socket::jk_connect.c (594): connect to 127.0.0.1:8009 failed (errno=61) [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [info] ajp_connect_to_endpoint::jk_ajp_common.c (922): Failed opening socket to (127.0.0.1:8009) (errno=61) [Thu Aug 27 00:55:18.963 2009] [11284:2686719776] [error] ajp_send_request::jk_ajp_common.c (1507): (openbdadmin) connecting to backend failed.   • TFS 2012: Backup Plan Fails with empty log file

    - by Vitor
    I have a Team Foundation Server 2012 installation with Power Tools, and I defined a backup plan using the wizard found in the "Database Backup Tools" in the Team Foundation Server Administration Console. I set the backup plan to do a full database backup on Sunday mornings, to another server in the network. I followed the wizard with no problems and the Backup Plan was set successfully. However when the backup runs it returns Error as result and when I go to the log file I only get the header and no further info: [Info @01:00:01.078] ==================================================================== [Info @01:00:01.078] Team Foundation Server Administration Log [Info @01:00:01.078] Version : 11.0.50727.1 [Info @01:00:01.078] DateTime : 11/25/2012 02:00:01 [Info @01:00:01.078] Type : Full Backup Activity [Info @01:00:01.078] User : <backup user> [Info @01:00:01.078] Machine : <TFS Server> [Info @01:00:01.078] System : Microsoft Windows NT 6.2.9200.0 (AMD64) [Info @01:00:01.078] ==================================================================== I can imagine it's a permission problem, but I have no idea where to start ... Can anyone help? Thank you for your time! EDIT I'm not sure if it is related, but I logged in with "backup user" in "TFS Server" and there was this crash window opened with "TFS Power Tool Shell Extension (TfsComProviderSvr) has stopped working". The full crash log is here: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: TfsComProviderSvr.exe Application Version: 11.0.50727.0 Application Timestamp: 5050cd2a Fault Module Name: StackHash_e8da Fault Module Version: 6.2.9200.16420 Fault Module Timestamp: 505aaa82 Exception Code: c0000374 Exception Offset: PCH_72_FROM_ntdll+0x00040DA8 OS Version: 6.2.9200.2.0.0.272.7 Locale ID: 1043 Additional Information 1: e8da Additional Information 2: e8dac447e1089515a72386afa6746972 Additional Information 3: d903 Additional Information 4: d9036f986c69f4492a70e4cf004fb44d Does it help? • One Comcast Business Gateway, One Router, Two Web Servers

    - by Kevin Scheidt
    I have a Comcast business account with a router and a web server (info) attached. behind the router there are multiple computers and a second web server (info) which also serves as a file server. (info) has two nics in it. One direct to comcast and one connected to the router. It needs to serve the world it's websites. It needs however, to also be able to see all the internal computers and (com)'s served files. With just 1 nic (the one connected to the router, not comcast), (info) works fine but no one outside can see it. (com) services port 80 and (info) needs to handle port 80 as well. I have two domain names registered, and 5 static ip's from comcast. right now h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.com handled by (com) works fine and h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.com:1307 handled by (info) works fine. but as soon as I enable the 2nd nic in (info) h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.info runs extremely slow (Horribly slow). however, h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.com:1307 and .com work fine. (com) has an ip address via the router 70.89.233.41 (info) has a ip addy of 70.89.233.46 via comcast (2nd nic) and a internal ip of 192.168.x.100 via static behind the router. Any suggestions or changes to make that will make h t t p: / /www.graceamazing.info perform with the same speed it has when going through h t t p: / /graceamazing.com:1307 is there a setting I should check / could have misssed?

With same access level, all other volumes on rest of servers are working, except this one.
