  • Creative software leftovers - ASIO error message

    I temporarily installed an old Creative Audigy 2 soundboard on my Vista x64 Home Premium computer. Bad idea! I uninstalled the board & all software visible on the control panel. Now, with one particular app. (Sibelius) I keep getting a start-up message "CTASIO Warning: Creative ASIO: there are no Creative audio products installed on the system that support ASIO". I offer this as a candidate for "Most useless message", but that's beside the point. I used a commercial registry cleaner (PC-Tools Registry Mechanic) and then edited the registry looking for "creative", "audigy" and "ASIO". After removing everything I could find, I still get the message. Any suggestions?

I can add it to the toolbars that show in the main Outlook window but not on the toolbar in a new message. Does using Word as the editor have anything to do with this? Does that mean that I need to create the macro in MS Word? I need it on my toolbar in a new message window, please...

  • Exchange 2010 sending old Out of Office message

    We are just about done with our migration from Exchange 2003 to 2010. I have a user who has been migrated to the new system that is now out on medical leave. He has gone into OWA and set up his Out of Office notification. The good news is that an Out of Office message is sent, the bad news is that it appears to be sending an old outdated message from back when the user was on Exchange 2003, and not honoring the new message set up in OWA. The user has also tried setting this up in Outlook 2010 as well with the same behavior. I have a feeling that this is related to the old public folders (didn't they contain OOF messages?) still lingering around our Exchange org. Any ideas?

  • Windows XP - non-user input data filter message after installing wireless keyboard & mouse

    After I installed MS wireless keyboard and mouse and associated software, I started getting this annoying message titled "Hardware installation" telling me the software I am trying to install did not pass the XP logo tests. The software is for "HID non-user input data filter" and I have two options Continue anyway or stop installation. Now, if I try to continue the installation fails, if stop installing another message pops up with a little mouse logo and the whole process repeats itself. after I am done with that message a third dialog appears. This is happening every time I boot up my PC (a desktop), I tried following an advice I found in some forum and download windows update for ID non-user input data filter, but that installation failed as well. The thing is, that both keyboard and mouse are working fine Is there anyway to get past these dialogs ?

    I have an internal exchange 2010 server that receives no outside email and sends no email outside. I'd like to send a notification email to an outside email when a user receives a message on the internal exchange server. This message would simply say "A Message has been sent to your XYZ Email, go check it" Theoretically, the AD would have an external email address associated with the user's AD Account. I'm hoping that a process could be triggered when an email is received on this exchange server and I could take some type of action to look up the AD account for the recipient, grab the external email address and send a standard email to that user. This would be a global rule for all exchange accounts. The problem is that I don't know where to start. Thanks!

  • Odd Language In a BIOS Message

    So I started up my laptop today and was greeted with the following message (not a direct quote): The type of the AC adapter cannot be determined. This may interfere with your computer's performance. Try unplugging the AC adapter and then plugging it back in, thanks. The problem was that I hadn't fully secured the plug into the back of the computer. However, I was a little taken aback when a message from BIOS said, "thanks." Is this normal? Any chance the message was illegitimate (virus)?

    Hi all, after reading the SOAP specs, it states that a SOAP Fault should return a http 500 errorcode, so when a SoapException is thrown, WCF returns a 500 error code. Now, I'm looking for some best practices to when return a functional soap error message and when to return a SOAP Fault. What would you guys return when a functional error occurred while processing the message because of the input message contains some functional errors, a 500 SOAP Fault or a 200 Soap response containing some error message ?

    I have a messages line this: message 1 answer 1.1 answer 1.1.1 answer 1.2 answer 1.3 massage 2 ... and I have the line in my .gnus.el: (global-set-key [f9] (lambda () (interactive) (gnus-summary-lower-score-by-subj-substr-temp))) When I select "message 1" and press F9 next lines: message1 answer 1.1 answer 1.1.1 answer 1.2 answer 1.3 change the score. But I need the selection move to next message (message 2) when I press F9. How can I get it?

    I used message box as seperate dialog instead of sheets for mac OS, now i m working on it to spawn a sheet as message box instead of seperate one. I have tried setting the message box as a modal one: (messagebox.setWindowModality(QtCore.Qt.WindoModal)) and setting message box, parent dialog window flags as sheet (parentDialog.setWindowFlags(QtCore.Qt.Sheet) messagebox.setWindowFlags(QtCore.Qt.Sheet)) But the above commands are not working to create a sheet instead of seperate dialog. Does anyone have an idea of how to solve?

    I'm trying to create an MDB(EJB 3.0) on WebLogic 10.3.5. to listen to a Queue in an external AMQ server. but after much work and combination of tutorials i get the followin error when deployin on WwebLogic. [EJB:015027]The Message-Driven EJB is transactional but JMS connection factory referenced by the JNDI name: ActiveMQXAConnectionFactory is not a JMS XA connection factory. Here is a brief of the work i have done: I have added the corresponding libraries to my WLS classpath (following thos tuturial http://amadei.com.br/blog/index.php/connecting-weblogic-and-activemq) and I have created the corresponding JMS Modules as indicated in the tutorial. As connection factory I have used ActiveMQConnectionFactory initially and ActiveMQXAConnectionFactory later, I also ignome the jms. notation an just put plain names as testQueue. Then create a simple MDB whit the following structure. I explicitly defined "connectionFactoryJndiName" property because otherwise it assumes a WebLogic connection factory which is not found an then raises an error. @MessageDriven( activationConfig = { @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destinationType", propertyValue = "javax.jms.Queue"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "destination", propertyValue = "testQueue"), @ActivationConfigProperty(propertyName = "connectionFactoryJndiName", propertyValue = "ActiveMQXAConnectionFactory") }, mappedName = "testQueue") public class ROMELReceiver implements MessageListener { /** * Default constructor. */ public ROMELReceiver() { // TODO Auto-generated constructor stub } /** * @see MessageListener#onMessage(Message) */ public void onMessage(Message message) { System.out.println("Message received"); } } At this point I'm stuck with the error mentioned above. The trigger works perfectly, and sends emails whenever we need them to. HOWEVER, we cannot find a way to get the email to contain information about the error, particularly the error message. Is there any way to have the message change based on the contents of the event-log error?

    BES 4.1.6 Blackberry 8300 (curve) Hi guys, I've noticed that handhelds will typically only retrieve the first few KB and then prompt the user to manually retrieve more (or auto-retrieve if they scroll down). The problem is that I have a BB app that needs to see the entire message all at once on the first initial time it's opened. Is there a setting on BES that will allow me to change how much data a handheld initially retrieves per message? Thanks, M

  • Thunderbird 17.0 message filters destroying my emails

    I have been using Thunderbird for years in the following manner (now it's Thunderbird 17.0 on Windows 7): I offload my IMAP emails to my local inbox weekly, then apply hundreds of message filters to said emails in order to move and store them into a few hundred subfolders. It's always worked like a charm - until recently. Now, after I apply the message filters, the emails get moved but they are destroyed in the process - bodies are scrambled up, with bits and pieces of other emails or they are simply blank! How do I fix this?

    When I open a PowerPoint file which I received via e-mail in PowerPoint 2010, I get the following error message: PowerPoint found an error that it can't correct. You should save presentations, exit, and then restart PowerPoint. Even if you click OK the error message appears again and again and makes it difficult to quit PowerPoint. Furthermore it gives no indication what caused the problem or how to solve it.

  • Error message when installing Comodo System Cleaner 2.2.126408.3

    I've downloaded the setup file, closed all applications and tried to run it. Early on I get the message "Error - setup cannot continue. Please uninstall old version CBU" which I assume is something to do with Comodo Backup. I've actually just updated Backup to V 2.2.127002.12 and cleaned the registry with Comodo Registry Cleaner and CCleaner but still get the error message. Please advise on what to do next. I'm using Win Vista Home Premium 32 bit Thanks
