  • Accessing one process's memory contents from another module

    I am developing a virtual device driver such that the user can write to the driver a process' pid and a virtual address, and the module will use these two values to get the memory contents of the target process. I am wondering if there is any easy functions that can fetch user page's data at this virtual address. I have tried get_user but this is not possible because the modules executing get_user at another process's context. I also tried to use ptrace_readdata, however, it seems that the file at /kernel/ptrace.c leaves a function access_process_vm undefined and also I don't know how to compile the source code of my module with this file (the linker seaches file in /linux/include by default). I am wondering if there are any other solutions...

    Heya, I'm writing a prism application, I've just created my 1st module, fired it all up and amazingly - it works. The application is going to grow soon(TM), and I'll be facing the need to host those modules in separate GUI elements. What type of GUI elements would you recommend to host the modules? Is it possible to data-bind a module to some control like a tab-control? How is it done? Is there some kind of a dock manager (similiar to AvalonDock) for Silverlight?

  • WCF Windows Service - Long operations/Callback to calling module

    I have a Windows Service that takes the name of a bunch of files and do operations on them (zip/unzip, updating db etc). The operations can take time depending on size and number of files sent to the service. (1) The module that is sending a request to this service waits until the files are processed. I want to know if there is a way to provide a callback in the service that will notify the calling module when it is finished processing the files. Please note that multiple modules can call the service at a time to process files so the service will need to provide some kind of a TaskId I guess. (2) If a service method is called and is running and another call is made to the same service, then how will that call be processed(I think there is only one thread asociated with the service). I have seen that when the service is taking time in processing a method, the threads associated with the service begin to increase.

How to make positive lookbehind assertion?

    I'm new to Drupal 6.10 CMS and PHP too. I'm creating my website with drupal and I have found a module called Webform I like it, it's pretty easy to create forms with different types of fields and file uploading. The one thing that i can't figure out is how to add Rich Text before all fields. Something like introduction to the form. This module has "Description" field that will show text as a plain text but it doesn't have rich text in it. What can I use to make that happen. Is it possible to hardcode html there or is there any other modules that can allow to do something like that? Thanks

  • Django Caught an exception while rendering: No module named registration

    I seem to have run into a bit of an issue. I am busy creating an app, and over the last few weeks setup my server to use Git, mod_wsgi to host this app. Since deploying it, everything seems to be running smoothly however, I had to go through all my files and insert the absolute url of the project to make sure it works fine. on my local machine from registration.models import UserRegistration on server from myapp.registration.models import UserRegistration Am I doing something wrong? And this has also caused an issue for me where I cannot access my django admin interface. All i get is this: Caught an exception while rendering: No module named registration Exception Value: Caught an exception while rendering: No module named registration As far as I am concerned my app has all the relevant urls, but it does not seem to work.   • Unable to encode to iso-8859-1 encoding for some chars using Perl Encode module

    I have a HTML string in ISO-8859-1 encoding. I need to pass this string to HTML:Entities::decode_entities() for converting some of the HTML ASCII codes to respective chars. To so i am using a module HTML::Parser::Entities 3.65 but after decode_entities() operation my whole string changes to utf-8 string. This behavior seems fine as the documentation of the HTML::Parse. As i need this string back in ISO-8859-1 format for further processing so i have used Encode::encode("iso-8859-1",$str) to change the string back to ISO-8859-1 encoding. My results are fine excepts for some chars, a question mark is coming instead. One example is single quote ' ASCII code (’) Can anybody help me if there any limitation of Encode module? Any other pointer will also be helpful to solve the problem. Thanks

  • Maven webapp with maven-eclipse-plugin doesn't generates <dependent-module>

    I use the eclipse:eclipse goal to generate an Eclipse Project environment. The deployment works fine. The goal creates the var classpath entries for all needed dependencies. With m2eclipse there was the Maven Container which defines an export folder which was WEB-INF/lib for me. But i don't want to rely on m2eclipse so i don't use it anymore. the class path entries which are generated by eclipse:eclipse goal don't have such a export folder. While booting the servlet container with WTP it publishes all resources and classes except the libraries to the context. Whats missing to publish the needed libs, or isn't that possible without m2eclipse integration?     I'm porting android to Devkit8000 which is a BeagleBoard clone. I have a GPS module connected on /dev/ttyS0. I could successfully get NMEA output when writing "cat /dev/ttyS0" in the terminal emulator. I want to know how to let android know that there is a GPS module on /dev/ttyS0 and it is outputting NMEA standard? To be able to use the android.location class with it! Is there something to edit in the android's source? adding driver for example, writing a code with android-ndk or what?

    Hello, I used to write apache modules in apache 1.3, but these days I am willing to pass to apache2. The module that I am writing at the moment has is own binary data, not a database, for performance purposes. I need to load this data in shared memory, so every child can access it without making his own copy, and it would be practical to load/create the binary data at startup, as I was used to do with apache 1.3. Problem is that I don't find an init event in apache2, in 1.3 in the module struct, immediatly after STANDARD_MODULE_STUFF you find a place for a /** module initializer */, in which you can put a function that will be executed early. Body of the function I used to write is something like: if ( getppid == 1 ) { // Load global data here // this is the parent process void* data = loadGlobalData( someFilePath ); setGlobalData( config, data ); } else { // this is the init of a child process // do nothing } I am looking for a place in apache2 in where I can put a similar function.   • Building a titanium module with xcode that uses other libraries

    I have a Titanium module and i want to use it for voice over ip using pjsip. I have changed the project settings the following way: added to the other linker flags the libraries from pjsip added to the header search paths the headers from pjsip added to the library search paths the libraries from pjsip If i do these things for a normap iPhone app it works i can make calls i have tested it and made a wrapper class that has methods like makeCall, hangup. etc. But i want to use this class together with the libraries from pjsip in a Titanium module. It gives me errors like: implicit declaration of function 'pjsua_perror' implicit declaration of function 'pjsua_destroy' 'pjsua_config' undeclared (first use in this function) These are all part of pjsip (pjsua_perror and pjsua_destroy are functions and pjsua_config is a struct) Does it work this way? Can i include other libraries in a library? What is the difference between making an app that uses libraries and making a library that uses libraries?

  • How to include NetBeans Platform Source code into module dependencies

    I am debugging a NetBeans Platform application. I have downloaded the NetBeans Platform source code .zip file. I would really really like to attach the source code to the debugger so that I can seamlessly jump to internal NB source code. Normally I would edit the Library configuration to tell NB where to find the source code, and it would just work. However this is not possible for NetBeans Modules; when I look at the Utilities API module dependency it does not look like a normal NB library and there is nowhere to add in the source code. I suspect that if I were to rebuild my project using Maven this would work automatically. But thats a terrible reason to switch to maven. How can I get the NB Platform Source code included into my Module Dependencies ?

I want to scan a load library checking that each load was compiled with some specific options to ensure compliance to shop standard (eg. SSRANGE). Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am trying to make the format: /module/value/controller/action give /module/controller/action passing on value as a parameter e.g. /store/johnsmithbigsale/home/newstuff would route to /store/home/newstuff passing on johnsmithbigsale as the value to a parameter with a hidden namespace e.g. storeName.     Hello, I have followed the basic GWT tutorial for creating a project in Eclipse. Now, I am trying to build off what I learned in the tutorial. I created a static utility class to perform some database connection logic. However, when I try to compile I get: [ERROR] Line 46: No source code is available for type com.sample.server.ConnectionUtil; did you forget to inherit a required module? Where can I put simple classes that I've created on my own? Do they have to be outside the package structure of the basic module, 'com.sample'? Or do I have to specify a whole new module in the gwt.xml file and inherit from that? There has to be something simple I'm missing.
