    i am trying to link my ADFS to Office 365 in order to set up Single Sign On for Office 365. I am going over this blog post. at Step 5, i am supposed to run Powershell commands so i can connect the ADFS to Office 365. Set-MsolAdfscontext -Computer <AD FS server FQDN> Convert-MsolDomainToFederated -DomainName <domain name> i am unable to determine the FQDN for the ADFS server. i searched around a lot on the web, but was not able to locate the solution. i am just getting started with all configuration of ADFS and Office 365, but was not able to find out a solution. any answers?

  • Open Office: How to disable image link updates

    I'm writing a user manual to a card game and there is a looot of linked images. Open Office is working so slow because every time I flip to a page with linked images it starts to update them. Is it possible to tell Open Office to NOT update the links until I tell it to do so? I would like it to display the same snapshot it showed the last time I initiated link update. I'm using Open Office v3.3.0 // Thank you.

  • Branch office unable to resolve DNS names

    Environment - MS Server 2003 AD Domain, XP computers at Branch office connected by VPN back to main office. T IP Traffic to the internet and internally is relatively stable, but the in-house application has been buggy, and dropping connections. Users report "slowness" DNS Name resolution might be the culprit or a symptom, I cannot ping workstations at the main office by name, but can ping their IP Address... Any ideas?

  • Should I enter my Office product key before running sysprep?

    I'm planning on cloning a Windows XP install, and am a little confused about sysprep. I know that it blanks out the XP product key, but what about other software? If I install Office 2007 and enter a product key, then use sysprep and create an image, will I be able to enter a new product key in clones I create from the image? Or will they all have duplicate product keys?

    I try to avoid using Libre Office on existing Excel created workbooks because of the potential for unpleasant results. In this case Libre Office bloated the size of the workbook for some reason unknown to me. I would like to know if Libre Office does this to all Excel workbooks or just something in that workbook that causes it. Software involved: Microsoft Office Excel 2010 Libre Office 3.5.x (exact version unknown) Dropbox (merely to sync changes) Platforms involved: Office on Windows (master of the obvious on that one I suppose..) Libre Office on Mac OS 10.6 Types of data stored in this workbook: Text Integers 1 column with a simple formula spanning the entire worksheet representing that particular row (=CONCATENATE(A2285,B2285,D2285), =CONCATENATE(A2286,B2286,D2286), etc.) Total of 3,500 plus rows Here is a photo with details described within, but I'll go ahead and explain the photo as well: This screenshot is from Dropbox history of the .xlsx workbook. Version 61 - 68 were Office Excel. Version 69 - 73 were Libre Office.

    I have been scouring the internet for ages trying to see if there was a usable add-on for Visio 2010 that could export SQL Scripts. MS stopping putting that functionality in Visio since 2003 – which is a huge shame. Today I found an open source project from Alberto Ferrari. It’s an add-in for Visio 2010 that allows you to generate SQL Scripts from your DB diagram. It’s still in beta, and the source is available.   Check it out here:http://sqlblog.com/blogs/alberto_ferrari/archive/2010/04/16/visio-forward-engineer-addin-for-office-2010.aspx This saves me from having to do all my diagramming in SQL Server / VS 2010.     I'm thinking of placing a Kinect (connected to a PC) in the office and have something fun on it. Just a small thing people can interact with. Basically I get a depthmap (image) and a color image from the Kinect which I can analyze and do stuff with. My limited imagination came up with: Count people passing by. Measure average width of people passing by. Some ball with physics people can play with. Audible alert when someone is walking too fast. Anyone have any good ideas? :)

    I double click my presentation to open it w/Impress and it opens, but there is no icon in the launcher (or alt-tab switcher) to indicate that its open. I tried keeping the Impress icon in the launcher, then opening my presentation, but the same thing happened. Then I tried opening Impress from the launcher and opening my file from inside impress...no luck either. What's up with that? btw, im using 11.10 and the file was made with office 2010 and saved as a .ppt if that has anything to do with it. Any help is appreciated
