  I have a cannon canoscan scanner and windows 7 pro. When I press the scan button on the scanner I get a choose program dialog. My 2 choices are Photoshop and Picasa. I want to add other programs, like Irfanview and plain old windows paint, how can I do this?

How can I go about this from my program? The first line sent is the content-type while it's the line before that that usually indicates the status (200/404/500, etc).

Is there a text editing program where I can do multiple find/replace (or regex) at one time?   Does anyone know of a program that would allow you to control multiple IR cameras via usb (computer jack) to rs232 (camera hardware)? We have a cameraswitcher, very low key, that I can press buttons and it willswitch the view of the camera from one to the next. currently I control the cameras by sellecting the cameras via a remote control for change of angles. Does anyone know anything that could give me some ability to do manual controls via my computer?. Please Advise, thanks!

• Uninstalling a program doesn't remove shortcuts from Start menu

  This problem started very recently after a system restore. Each time I uninstall a program, it uninstalls correctly but the shortcuts remain in the Start menu. I can easily delete them by right-clicking on them, but it is an irritant and I was wondering why this is hapenning. I tried changing the permissions on C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs but it did not help. What else can I try? I am using Windows 7 Home Premium.

  Usually on windows XP if I wanted to know the location of an installed program I would just click 'Properties' and it would show where the executable is located. On windows 7 I do the same thing and I get this: How can I find out where programs are located based on the shortcut? I did however notice that for some programs it does show a shortcut under the 'Target', but not in the case with iTunes for example.

In particular: tar --use-compress-program=pbzip2 -cf old_logs.tbz2 1tree_* 4tree_* 8tree_* The file old_logs.tbz2 is 100557548 bytes large. The command: tar jcf old_logs.tbz 1tree_* 4tree_* 8tree_* produce the file old_logs.tbz that is 98783046 bytes large. Where the difference in the two files originate from ? I'm using bsdtar 2.8.3 - libarchive 2.8.3 on mac osx 10.8.5.
