  • Xcode, Dev Docs Search Field Loosing Focus?

    I am having a strange issue with the developer documentation (which i have only noticed after installing Xcode 3.2.3). My problem is that as you type in the search field (upper right) it looses focus and immediately starts looking for the first few letters you type. For example if you looking for "NSObject" you start typing "NSO" and as you type the field looses focus the last 5 characters "bject" just give beeps as you need to reselect the field to type extra characters. Has anyone else come across this or know what the problem might be? cheers Gary.

  • Silverlight avoid lose focus on datagrid

    Hi, I have a question: How could I keep the focus on a combobox of a cell inside a datagrid in edit mode; even when I drag a textbox inside a scroll viewer to drag & drop. This is the behaviour I need: The user start to edit a cell by double clicking, and a combobox is showed, then the user could drag and drop some text (one of the texboxes inside the scroll viewer) to the combobox I mentioned. The issue is: when I click on one those textboxes to drag & drop, I lose the focus of the datagrid, and I can't drop it to the cell (the combobox), because I lose the edit mode (it's not a combobox anymore, the datagrid is on query mode). How can I achieve the behaviour I need? Please help. Thanks.

  • Morphing content based on window part focus

    What I'm trying to achieve is basically have a code that will morph ( move around the page ) based on the part of the window which is currently viewed. Scenario : - actual page height : 2000px - actual screen height( pc, laptop whatever ) : 800px - 1 image of 600px - 3 div's or virtual boxes ( just to prove what I want to do ) Workflow When you open the page, you'd see the first part of the page with the image loaded in the first div. What I want and need to achieve is when scrolling the page, and the focus would be on the second div ( or the image simply gets out of focus - you can't see it no more ), the image would move ( disappear from the first box ) and appear in the second one, which is currently visible. The idea might seem pretty easy but I'm not Javascript savvy. Ideally, the answer should include a way to load a Javascript instead of that image.

    I have configured a keyboard navigation for customized selects. I have a problem now and these are the steps reproduce the error 1) Do Focus on Input Name 2) Press Tab 3) If you hover and then do click with the mouse in any of the select options, they can not be selected with the mouse click This is the only error, it works perfectly if you move the arrows up and down and then you press the enter o tab, i want to to be able to select the option also with the mouse click after i do the focus with the tab button in the customized select Technically the problem is that the hover with the keyboards up and down is different when i hover with the mouse in the select-options.   • jQuery focus on content of input / textarea - not working properly in IE8

    I want the input fields on my site to select all the text when the user first clicks on them, but in IE8 the text is selected for a split second then reverts back to normal. Works fine in FF.     I have a classic table / thead / tbody structure, which I add a line at the end of the tbody. The line contains only an input element. The code works in Firefox 3.6 but not in Chrome v5 or IE8. I'm using jQuery 1.4.1. Does not work: $("#" + AJAX_ID).parent().find('tr:last > td:nth-child(2) > input').focus(); Does work: $("#" + AJAX_ID).parent().find('tr:last > td:nth-child(2) > input').css('background-color', 'red'); even setting an ID on the input, and using document.getElementBuId('id').focus() doesn't work.   • remine focus on the main activity (while switching activities)

    Hi, Ive got two activities in the same application. the first one is with gui(main activity) the second one is a listener which works infinite without gui. Wierd problem occurs: i am running the second activity with a diffrent thread so i could keep on manipulate the gui.. but for some reason, the gui losing it's focus for some reason, only when i press 'home' and come back to it, then i can continune maniuplate the gui. it feels like after i launch the second activity, the gui activity(the main) is losing the focus. how come? in my mainactivity i have: setContentView(R.layout.main); and its setted as the launcher in the manifest. thanks, ray.

    I have created a php webpage. I now want to create a launcher application in android phone, it simply opens the browser with the url "http://<mywebsite>/m". I use uri intent to launch the browser in onCreate function. public void onCreate(...) { .... startActivity(new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW, new Uri(http://<mywebsite>/m))); ... } I execute this program in my G1 phone (Cyan Mod 5). However, when I click the "Home" key, and then re-enter my application through Task list, I lose focus for my last started browser, and the screen blank Any suggestion?! Should I need any code in onResume function to re-focus my web!?

  • Can't get jQuery to get focus on cloned input fields

    I have a page that needs to create dynamic form fields as often as the user needs, and I am trying to use Ajax to tie it in to my database for faster form entry and to prevent user typos. So, I have put my Ajax returned data into popup div, the user selects, then the form field is filled in. The problem comes on the cloned fields. They don't seem to want to bring up the popup div when focused. I am thinking it is something to do with when they get created/added to the DOM.     I have some code like so: $('product_name').onfocus=function() { this.focused=true; }; $('product_name').onblur=function() { this.focused=false; } function getEnter(evt){ if (evt.keyCode == Event.KEY_RETURN) { if ($('product_name').focused ) { ... However, if I try to add this to a select box and change the function to an ||, it breaks. Do select boxes work differently since they can be continuously selected? .focus seemed to make a difference (brighter color when in focus). I am trying to do a search on enter if either the product_name or the select box is focused and do something else otherwise. I have it set up now so everything works except the select box. Thanks.

  • Strange behavior in DockPanel

    I don't understand, I have a toolbar with buttons bind to custom commands. Also I have an expandable control docked to the left of window - kinda NavPanel. (Devcomponents' NavigationPane to be exact) Now, everytime when it's collapsed or expanded, buttons in the toolbar become disabled and stay like that till the focus changes. Of course, it's simple to change the focus inside Collapsed and Expanded events, but unfortunately it works only in the first and ignores the second one and all buttons stay disabled. It seems that it something to do with CommandTarget which I haven't define nowhere. Maybe I should? Any ideas?

    We are using ankhsvn to check in our .net code, however I have two issues with our setup that I want to resolve. 1\ I thought a key reason to have a tool like svn is that you can rollback to an earlier version of your codebase. If developers are just checking in code, then how can you get version 1.1 (say the current production build), out of subversion? 2\ In VS you have the concept of solutions, many solutions might use the same project. How do I make sure when a developer checks out a solution, they get the appropriate versions of the projects that belong to that solution?

  • Wpf button click when application window is not active

    I have a WPF application window with a button (ButtonA) which has a command binding to a View Model property. When another application is launched the focus is lost and application window is deactivated. Clicking ButtonA now doesn’t execute the command but instead only activates the window and sets the focus to the button. 2nd click is required to fire the command. The desired functionality is on click of ButtonA while the application window is not active, the application window activates and command associated with ButtonA is executed. I have also tried removing the command and adding a click handler for test purpose but this displays same behaviour. I appreciate any help with this issue.

  • Personal VPN Solutions

    I want to set up a VPN for my laptop to connect back at home so that I don't have to directly expose my desktop computer to the internet. Here is what I have: Internet -> DD-WRT v24sp1-mega -> Desktop PC w/ Windows 7 Ultimate -> MacBook w/ OSX 10.6 What would be the easiest thing to do? DD-WRT has PPTP and OpenVPN built in and Windows 7 has RRAS itself but thus far I've run into some problems. Are there any other alternatives, or suggestions on getting these to work? PPTP I tried setting up PPTP directly on DD-WRT using these directions. When I tried connecting using my external IP from the MacBook I just kept getting that the remote server did not respond. OpenVPN According to the instructions here I don't have enough open nvram to set up OpenVPN. RRAS I got RRAS set up without a problem and can connect from the MacBook to the Windows 7 box while I'm on the same network. I port forwarded 1723 on the DD-WRT back to the Windows 7 box and made sure that PPTP Passthrough was enabled. Again, like PPTP, it just kept timing out.

  • VMWare player grabbing mouse focus

    I am using the newest VMWare player on a Windows 7 machine. When I have the player open on one of my two monitors I get some weird behavior. For instance, if the player is open on monitor 2, and I minimize firefox on monitor 1, my mouse will instantly switch to the monitor 2 and be centered within the VMWare player window. This happens when I minimize any window after having been working in my VM. I hope there is a setting or tweak that I am not aware of that can remedy this. EDIT: Through more testing I have found that this only occurs when the VMWare player is full screen on either of my two monitors.   • Mouse click-focus wanders in vmPlayer 3.0 dual-monitor

    Previously, a WinXPSP3 session running on a WinXPSP3 host computer ran perfectly fine in a dual monitor setup. No issues with vmPlayer 2.x. BEFORE updating to vmPlayer 3, the following problem cropped up. When clicking in a single monitor, you would get exactly what you expected. However, when the display was stretched across two monitors, the clicking would be to the left of the mouse cursor. The farther RIGHT you were, the farther left the click would occur. In other words, if you clicked on the system menu of a window in the upper left of a window on the left monitor, you would get the system menu. Move half a screen to your right and the click would be on an item about a quarter of the way over, rather than where you were clicking. And by going all the way to the far right of the right monitor, you could bring up a right-click menu on the far right of the LEFT monitor. I Hope I have described this properly. It's confusing, even in words. In single monitor mode, everything works perfectly fine. If, instead of using either UltraMon or DisplayFusion, you run a single desktop across both monitors (3200x1600), there are no mousing issues. Unfortunately, having two 1600x1200 monitors, that depth of 1600 makes that hack less than useable. My graphic card won't offer anything resembling 3200x1200. vmPlayer 3.0 did not alleviate the situation. The microsoft mouse drivers are up to date and so are the nVidia card drivers. Any ideas?

  • What are some hosted MySQL solutions?

    I would like to host a MySQL database somewhere. The basic solution would be to get a VPS, but then I am stuck doing all the sysadmin stuff. It's not terribly difficult if you are not doing anything fancy, but if something goes wrong (like a security breach), it may be hard to resolve or even diagnose in the first place. On the other end of the spectrum, I found Xeround and Amazon RDS. Xeround is not exactly standard MySQL. Amazon seems a bit complex to get started (which is weird because they specifically say it is "simple to deploy"). Why is there nothing in the middle? Is there no demand for a basic hosted MySQL solution?

  • OS X home, end, page up, page down movement keys and cursor focus

    When using the home, end, page up and page down movement keys in a text editor, the cursor stays in the same spot, even though the window has moved elsewhere. I know that you can use the option modifier to move the cursor along, but is there a way to move the cursor where your window has moved to (without using the mouse)? Another alternative would be to make these movement keys always behave as if the option modifier key is already pressed. Is this possible?
