    Can someone give me an essential Wordpress Loop and explain to me what's happening with it? I'd like to put together some templates, but I don't do well with blackboxing. In other words, I'm fully capable of writing my own CMS, but when it comes to using someone else's and its arbitrary rules, I'm completely at a loss, and I just can't get my head around the standard loop Wordpress uses.   • Wordpress Install on OS X Snow-Leopard under Sites/public for use with capistrano

    I would like to put my local OS X wordpress site in my ~users/Sites/public directory, instead of the ~users/Sites so i can properly setup a capistrano deployment. When i try this i can visit the site locally by visiting http://localhost/public and everything looks and works great but if i ever try to go to http://localhost/public/wp-admin to administer my local copy of wordpress it tries to redirect me back to http://localhost/wp-admin which doesn't exist. Do you know how I might be able to work around this problem?

    Hi I have my wordpress in a folder, i updated the url options in the wordpress genereal settings to the root folder, i then copied all the files from the directory to the root. I have not deleted the old directory yet! When i go to log in, i can not do so, in the url it still says redirect to the old directoy. What should i do, do i have to delete the ole directory?

At the moment I am using TDO-Miniforms and wordpress 2.9.2, but TDO-miniforms has stopped development and is broken with wordpress 3.0 that just came out. I would like to update the site to 3.0 but I don't know of any alternatives to TDO-miniforms that let logged in users submit posts with attachments and images. Any alternatives?

    I want to use PEAR's HTML_Template_IT in one of my Wordpress page templates so I can separate the HTML from the PHP. I got it working, except I am not sure about one thing. Wordpress's built-in function get_header() actually echo's HTML - so I can't technically set it as a template variable. Is this considered acceptable or is there another way to put the contents of get_header() in a variable? Thanks!

For blogger, I know the query parameter is 'max-results' However,t here's nowhere in wordpress where they mentioned the query parameters for this. Anyone have any idea?
