This question (answered by KronoS) tells how to change the delay time before the popups occur when hovering over the open application icons on the taskbar. However, this registry tweak does not work to speed up the desktop peek functionality when the mouse is moved over the 'desktop' area of the task bar. Any idea how to speed up this function?

  I want to rearrange rows with the mouse in Calc. In Excel, I select the whole row, then drag and drop it while holding Shift. This causes the drag and drop cursor to turn into a bar rather than cells, and the cells are inserted at the bar's position. Is there a way to accomplish the same sort of thing in Calc without going around the houses inserting columns before the drag operation?

  In XP, to ensure a folder opened in a new window, I held down CTRL when I opened (by mouse or keyboard) the folder. This action is so ingrained to me, I pretty much don't even realise I'm doing it at a conscious level. Unfortunately, this action apparently hasn't made it to Vista.   Using Synergy-plus-1.3.4 on Gentoo Linux kernel 2.6.36-tuxonice-r3. Using SHIFT+CAPS to change keyboard layout on BOTH server and client boxes. Works perfectly if change layout using attached keyboard. But when using synergy keyboard (moved mouse from server screen to client and changing with SHIFT+CAPS) it has no effect. Synergy is just amazing thing exception this small issue which I'm assured is solvable. Please, gimme some hint.

  Hi, I wonder if the following things can be done with the HTML notes pane of freemind: Is it possible on the layout view to decrease the separation between lines? The panel is horizontal, is it possible to setup a vertical view? (I have a big, horizontal-like monitor) By the way, when I move the mouse pointer over a node, i can see the HTLM note associated with it, but its view (as a yellow square) only lasts for some seconds. Can it be made permament? Thanks a lot

Everytime I slide my finger from the right edge of the touchpad (where the slider is) toward the center (mostly accidentally), the charmbar pops up and stays on the screen until I manually click on some random spots on the screen.   I have installed Windows 2008 R2 SP1 in a VirtualBox VM. It works fine, except that if I Remote Desktop (RDP) to the VM from the host (machine running VirtualBox, Windows 7 SP1), after a minute or so the windows shell becomes unresponsive. I can no longer start task manager, open the start menu or switch applications. Keyboard input also drops some keys. Mouse movement is not affected. Any idea what is causing this? NB: This is Windows RDP, not the remote display built into VirtualBox

  my new seagate sata drive keeps showing as a 249gb drive but in the setup part when i press del at the boot up it states there a 3000gb drive and i have searched for a solution but havent found one yet. I'm not entirely sure about this, after working with one the other day for a client, it seemed like it was running pretty cool, but I'm not sure if the computer was actually running cool or if it had more to do with IceCool Technology feature that keeps the mouse and palm rest area cool. The bottom of the laptop didn't seem very warm either...does anyone have any experience with the ASUS K73E where the thing burned up with normal usage?

  Ever since FireFox 4, page tabs have been moved to the top of the window. This gets pretty irritating when surfing the net through a remote desktop session. Often when I want to switch tabs, if I accidentally move my mouse a little to much to the top, I get the remote desktop connection bar blocking the tabs instead, then I'd have to wait a few frustrating seconds before it disappears again. So, are there any methods to shrink or shorten the remote desktop connection bar or delay the appearance of it?
