Copy the appropriate sqljdbc.dll and instjdbc.sql files from the WL_HOME\server\lib directory to the SQL_Server_Root/bin directory of the MS SQL Server database server, where WL_HOME is the directory in which WebLogic server is installed, typically c:\Oracle\Middleware\wlserver_10.x.  Note:  If you are installing stored procedures on a database server with multiple Microsoft SQL Server instances, each running SQL Server instance must be able to locate the sqljdbc.dll file.Therefore the sqljdbc.dll file needs to be anywhere on the global PATH or on the application-specific path. For the application-specific path, place the sqljdbc.dll file into the :\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL$\Binn directory for each instance. 2. From the database server, use the ISQL utility to run the instjdbc.sql script. As a precaution, have your system administrator back up the master database before running instjdbc.sql. At a command prompt, use the following syntax to run instjdbc.sql:  ISQL -Usa -Psa_password -Sserver_name -ilocation\instjdbc.sql  where:  sa_password is the password of the system administrator.  server_name is the name of the server on which SQL Server resides.  location is the full path to instjdbc.sql. (You copied this script to the SQL_Server_Root/bin directory in step 1.)  The instjdbc.sql script generates many messages. In general, these messages can be ignored; however, the system administrator should scan the output for any messages that may indicate an execution error. The last message should indicate that instjdbc.sql ran successfully. The script fails when there is insufficient space available in the master database to store the JDBC XA procedures or to log changes to existing procedures.

  How can i create PDF thumbnails in TeXShop using LaTeX and thumbpdf? I have \usepackage{thumbpdf} in my preamble, ran LaTeX twice, ran $ thumbpdf report.pdf from a Terminal (I'm on a Mac), then ran LaTeX again, but the PDF has no thumbnails? Am I missing a step? The thumbpdf command created png files but then deleted them again, and wrote a file called report.tpt. Thanks.

The string prints out 1 on print Encode::is_utf8($myclobfield); But characters like òàè are not correctly inserted into the DB. When I create the pdf document from a url - the images in the pdf document seems to be 256 colors. Does anyone know how I can set ABCpdf to create full color images.   I have some pdf files located on a http server: Like: http://domain.com/files/file1.pdf http://domain.com/files/file1.pdf http://domain.com/files/file1.pdf I need to display these files on a mobile application using java me. I tried to display them by opening Google Docs Viewer with platformRequest. However it seems Google Docs Viewer uses ajax and many mobile browsers does not support it. Is there an alternative for "Google Docs Viewer" for mobile devices ? Or is there a better solution for this problem ?

• Submit information to url, but also open PDF

  I have a client whose desire is to have her Wordpress blog show a MailChimp form on her home page as a gateway to a .pdf. I need the following behavior to occur when the user clicks "Submit": execute the included MailChimp's javascript file; this ensures the form was properly filled, and then performs the sign-up to the newsletter list (don't need help with this part) then show the user an informational PDF for download or viewing EDIT: The logical order was flipped from when I originally posted this. The script should execute, and only if the script gets executed properly should the PDF show to the user Note: My experience level with HTML and PHP is 3/4, and with JS I am 2/4 EDIT: (seems more like 1/4 at this point lol). If my research is correct, PHP (server-side language) would be used to do that which the client wants. Additional validation is not necessary beyond what MailChimp's script provides (it ensures that user has submitted a completed form) is not necessary in this case (the client says it's ok if the e-mail isn't valid at all). EDIT: Reworded this sentence from original post to be more clear The .pdf URL and content is static, and simply needs to be shown, not generated. ----RESEARCH---- I know that the Mailchimp form uses the following line to actually submit the information, but I want to do the action mentioned below, as well as open the aforementioned .pdf: <form action="http://*BLAH*.us2.list-manage.com/subscribe/post?u=*BLAHBLAH*&amp;id=*BLAHBLAHBLAH*" method="post" id="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" name="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" class="validate" target="_blank"> I am reading on other sites that I can conceivably point "action" to a .php file, but if there is a way to do this with javascript - since its using the .js file that I created for that already anyways, then I would be most happy. The tool (Message Designer) is quite old and not very convinient to use. Have you any hints how to version, track changes in such map? Or is there an alternative for Message Designer?

• joining null in MS SQL server, Oracle and informatica

  hi! I've two tables to join with a column(say emp_id)..if emp_id in both the tables have null values, how'll MS SQL server and Oracle treat??? Coz, i read that informatica will neglect the NULL rows when joining..if i handle the null, by substituting -1, a cross-join will happen which i don't want.. what can i do here? I cannot completely neglect the rows which has NULL. Thanks

• Oracle Coding Standards Feature Implementation

  Okay, I have reached a sort of an impasse. In my open source project, a .NET-based Oracle database browser, I've implemented a bunch of refactoring tools. So far, so good. The one feature I was really hoping to implement was a big "Global Reformat" that would make the code (scripts, functions, procedures, packages, views, etc.) standards compliant. (I've always been saddened by the lack of decent SQL refactoring tools, and wanted to do something about it.) Unfortunatey, I am discovering, much to my chagrin, that there doesn't seem to be any one widely-used or even "generally accepted" standard for PL-SQL. That kind of puts a crimp on my implementation plans. My search has been fairly exhaustive. I've found lots of conflicting documents, threads and articles and the opinions are fairly diverse. (Comma placement, of all things, seems to generate quite a bit of debate.) So I'm faced with a couple of options: Add a feature that lets the user customize the standard and then reformat the code according to that standard. —OR— Add a feature that lets the user customize the standard and simply generate a violations list like StyleCop does, leaving the SQL untouched. In my mind, the first option saves the end-users a lot of work, but runs the risk of modifying SQL in potentially unwanted ways. The second option runs the risk of generating lots of warnings and doing no work whatsoever. (It'd just be generally annoying.) In either scenario, I still have no standard to go by. What I'd need to know from you guys is kind of poll-ish, but kind of not. If you were going to use a tool of this nature, what parts of your SQL code would you want it to warn you about or fix? Again, I'm just at a loss due to a lack of a cohesive standard. And given that there isn't anything out there that's officially published by Oracle, I think this is something the community could weigh in on. Also, given the way that voting works on SO, the votes would help to establish the popularity of a given "refactoring." P.S. The engine parses SQL into an expression tree so it can robustly analyze the SQL and reformat it. There should be quite a bit that we can do to correct the format of the SQL. But I am thinking that for the first release of the thing, layout is the primary concern. Though it is worth noting that the thing already has refactorings for converting keywords to upper case, and identifiers to lower case.

• Start oracle dequeue on startup

  Hi, I got the following error of Oracle, ORA-25226: dequeue failed, queue string.string is not enabled for dequeue And the following is the Cause and Action for it from the official document: Cause: The queue has not been enabled for dequeue. Action: Enable the queue using START_QUEUE. But this error occurs every time when restart the database, is there any configuration to set to start the dequeue on database startup? thanks!
