I need a JavaScript regular expression that will do the following: The string can contain letters (upper and lower case), but not punctuations such as éàïç... The string can contain numbers (0..9) anywhere in the string, except on the first position. The string can contain underscores (_). • How do I prevent buffer overflow converting a double to char?

  I'm converting a double to a char string: char txt[10]; double num; num = 45.344322345 sprintf(txt, "%.1f", num); and using ".1f" to truncate the decimal places, to the tenths digit. i.e. - txt contains 45.3 I usually use precision in sprintf to ensure the char buffer is not overflowed. How can I do that here also truncating the decimal, without using snprintf? (i.e. if num = 345694876345.3 for some reason) Thanks

  How can I add a newline to a plot's label (e.g. xlabel or ylabel) in Matplotlib? • VS2010 constantly searching for something

  Hi, Recently my VS has started doing a search through all project assemblies after a project is reloaded, or after I close a window following a Go to Definition command. It just says Searching in the status bar, and enumerates the assembly names. It's driving me nuts, because the process can take up to a minute, and it completely locks up the whole application while it's doing this. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks, Aleko

• Disposing a Bitmap through its Finalizer

  I have a complex program in which I have to first create, then use wrappers around bitmaps and send them across a lot of different classes. The problem in the end is deciding which classes should dispose the bitmaps. Most of the time the end classes don't know if they can indeed dispose the bitmap as the same bitmap can be used in several places. Also, I can't just copy the bitmaps because this is a kind of resource intensive algorithm and doing it would be dead slow. I looked up on reflector for Image/Bitmap's implementations and they seem to use the Dispose Pattern. So, even if I don't call Dispose(), the CLR will eventually call it some other time. Is it too bad if I just let the bitmaps be as they are, and let the finalizer take care of them?
