  All, I am not very good at explaining so i will let my comments do it! #this script is to calculate some of the times table up to 24X24 and also miss some out #Range of numbers to be calculated numbers=range(1,25) for i in numbers: for w in numbers: print(str(i)+"X"+str(w)+"="+str(i*w)) #here i want to break randomly (skip some out) e.g. i could be doing the 12X1,12X2 and then 12X5 i have no limit of skips. Update Sorry if this is not clear i want it to break from the inner loop for a random amount of times

  I'm developing a newsletter in asp.net that will be send to a large quantity of users, so each kilobyte that I can reduce will help a lot in the use of bandwidth consumption, what I do until know is write the aspx excluding some spaces between tags, and before render, i've renamed some controls ids to "-" to save more space. So now, the file has 50kb. I need a file with 25 Kb. Can anyone teach me any other way do save more space ? ps.: I Use 3 divs with some data, and 2 repeaters, one inside other, to generate a table with some data for me. thanks in advance

  I have a columns called Submit_Date in table Tickets and the datatype of it is Varchar(200) and I am trying to convert it to MM/DD/YYYY format and when i do that i get the following error: Msg 242, Level 16, State 3, Line 1 The conversion of a varchar data type to a datetime data type resulted in an out-of-range value.   I would like to calculate distance between two groups. I am very confused. I have a two data sets. One is about a company and one is about employees. I would like to find out how their age( a company in which an employee is hired and an employee) are similar or not. I think I need to standarize also.. calcuate euclidean distance between each person and a company. (4-5 people in a company) calculate euclidean distance between each person and a company in industry level. My dataset is like this: person person_age company company_age insustry 1 50 1 5 1 2 40 1 5 1 3 30 2 1 1 4 20 2 1 1 5 25 3 8 2 Please help me. I don't mind using SAS or R. I am very confused.

  I have two identically-sized numpy.array objects (both one-dimensional), one of which contains a list of starting index positions, and the other of which contains a list of ending index positions (alternatively you could say I have a list of starting positions and window lengths). In case it matters, the slices formed by the starting and ending positions are guaranteed to be non-overlapping. I am trying to figure out how to use these starting and ending positions to form an index for another array object, without having to use a loop. • Set The Progress Bar Over 100% C#

  its my first time using a ProgressBar in c#. The idea is to use the ProgressBar as an health bar in a simple game. The thing is I think the bar's maximum value is 100% but i would like to give it a higher value like let's say 1000% or, not sure if it's possible, give the bar an integer value instead of a percentage. progressBar1.Increment(100); This is where I initialize the health to 100points. Even if I use this syntax: progressBar1.Increment(1000); And I subtract : progressBar1.Increment(-25); The player is loosing 1/4 of is life as if he only had 100 Health Points. Any idea how I could change the maximum Bar value? Thanks in advance.

• For loop to extract info from a structure doesn't work?

  I have a structure in matlab that has a value of <1x1 struct>., its name is figurelist. Inside that structure, there is a field called images. Inside images, I have 25 images that have the name img1, img2, img3, ...... , img25. Now I made a for loop to extract those images, I basically did: For K=1:25 image(figurelist.images.imgK) PAUSE(0.25) End This unfortunately doesnt work. I get an error saying : ??? Reference to non-existent field 'imgK'. Is it possible to extract such info using a loop from a structure? Or am I doing something wrong? Thanks.

• Regular Expression; Find whether a line contains any word with more than X characters.

  Hi, I am trying to use a Validator on a ASP.NET site and need to find whether the Street Address textbox contains a valid entry. Entries with words that are longer than X characters (in this case 25, with no punctuation or spaces) will cause the HTML on a printed A4 page to not wrap properly and therefore not to confrom to certain sizes correctly pushing the margins off. For a street address I want to match that something like "201 Long Road" is valid but "235 ReallyLongAndNarrowWindingRoadBesideTheRiver Street" is invalid. Using a Microsoft .Net Regular Expression Validator I need to know what the RegEx pattern might be. I think if it does find a match the Validator will fire correctly however if there is no match the Validator won't fire and the Update button (in this case) won't fire. Since Street addresses can contain Capital Letters and numbers etc. it will need to accomodate for that and also Spaces, Commas, Semi-Colons and Colons and Hyphens are valid characters too. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I am really stuck with this problem. Thanks, David

• Determine outer boundries of polygon from lat/lng point array

  I have a large array of lat/lng points. Could be up to 20k points. I'm plotting them using KML. What I want to do is to take only the outter most points and use them to draw a polygon instead. I already know how to draw a polygon in kml, I just need to figure out how to select only the outer most points of the group. Any ideas? I'd like to have at least 5 points to the polygon but no more than 25 points total. So far i've come up with checking for top most and bottom most points (basically crearing a square) using < & logic. The points will be in america & canada only if that matters. Thanks for any help.

  I need to put curly braces in a sentence according to the indexes. Suppose my input sentence is: "I am a girl and I live in Nepal." and I need to put curly braces according to [12, 15], [2, 4], [23, 25] These indexes are corresponding to the words "am", "and" and "in" respectively. The required output should be: "I {am} a girl {and} I live {in} Nepal." I have tried using substring but after it replaces first word, it then shifts the characters by two indexes and that is the problem I am having. Can anyone provide me solution to get the required output?

  I'm currently working with extremely large fixed width files, sometimes well over a million lines. I have written a method that can write over the files based on a set of parameters, but I think there has to be a more efficient way to accomplish this. Ok here is what i am trying to do: What i want to do is create a function that you can enter unlimited ammount of coordinates ( the blue dots) and then it will create a shape like so and then return all coordinates the shape covers. Because this is for working with pixels, there will be no decimal coordinates.   I am trying to create a bash script to simulate a mail attack to our mailserver. For this reason i want to create a bash script to send hundred of mails to our server, but when i launch the command: $telnet 192.168.12.1 25 <-- where 192.168.12.1 is the ip of our server The telnet session start and all the commands that i write later aren't executed. I also tried to create a second script to launch command on the telnet session after that this one are been created, but when i write from the second script: $echo -ne "EHLO domain.com\r\f" It print the command but doesn't do the ENTER so the command is not taken. Any idea?

• Create a complex SQL query?

  Hey guys, I have a program that allows me to run queries against a large database. I have two tables that are important right now, Deposits and withdraws. Each contains a history of every user. I need to take each table, add up every deposit and withdraws (per user), then subtract the withdraws from the deposits. I then need to return every user whos result is negative (aka they withdrew more then they deposited). Is this possible in one query? Example: Deposit Table: |ID|UserName|Amount| |1 | Use1 |100.00| |2 | Use1 |50.00 | |3 | Use2 |25.00 | |4 | Use1 | 5.00 | WithDraw Table: |ID|UserName|Amount| |2 | Use2 | 5.00 | |1 | Use1 |100.00| |4 | Use1 | 5.00 | |3 | Use2 |25.00 | So then the result would output: |OverWithdrawers| | Use2 | Is this possible (I sure don't know how to do it)? • Problem compiling mod_wsgi for python2.6 on Cent OS 5.3

  I am running a website on CentOS 5.3. I understand centos will break if the default python 2.4 is upgraded. I followed this site (http://www.question-defense.com/2009/12/25/how-to-install-python-2-6-on-centos-5-without-breaking-yum) and got python 2.6 installed. Now if I run "python" it runs python2.4 and if I run "python26" it runs python2.6. I am trying to compile mod_wsgi-3.2. When it run ./configure it takes only python 2.4 environment. I have tried using the --with-python=/usr/bin/python26. That way, "make" command does not work. Can someone throw some light on this? Thanks in advance
