  • How to turn on Airport on MacBook Pro

    Hi, I am using MacBook Pro (Mac OS X 10.5). On the status bar, check I click the Wireless icon, it said 'Open Network Preferences' And then in the Network Preference, I click 'AirPort' tab, the status said 'Inactive' But the 'Turn AirPort on' is disabled and the Network Name is disabled as well. I have unlocked the preference pane as well. So how can I turn on Airport? Thank you.

    I am trying to install packadges SUNWi1cs and SUNWi15cs for Oracle 11g on Solaris 10 (VMWare Player). NO cdrom (I dont know how to mount it the iso file is on USB device), I transferd the ISO and unzip the ISO in a directory I run: "pkgadd -d /export/michel/SOLARIS_10/PRODUCT SUNi1cs" == process datastream failed ... errno=2. I've check the web without success, many answers but none that fit my prob. Thank you

I have regenearted the default_dsa.key on server and imported the same for client but still not working. Any solutions?

    I have two NICs in a client PC. I have a WDS server. When I boot from PXE on client computer I receive: WdsClient: An error occurred while obtaining an IP address from the DHCP server. Please check to ensure that there is an operational DHCP server on this network segment. I think my client is trying to get an IP adress from the NIC which not connected to LAN. How to avoid this error?

My process involved is as follows: make change to .java file compile .java file restart apache tomcat service refresh browser check c:\program files\apache software foundation\tomcat 5.5\logs This is beyond cumbersome. Is there a better development platform to develop jsp pages which makes life alot easier? thanks in advance

  • How can I protect Chrome user interface?

    Google Chrome has a feature to change between Google accounts which allows several users to have their customized extensions, history and whatnot retrieved instantly. It doesn't, however, protect someone else from checking anything google related. That means anyone with access to your computer can check every google account that was setup as user in Chrome. How can I prevent that? I first thought of checking a box with the option to have Chrome request for password upon user change but that doesn't seem to exist.

  • CentOS Server with WHM/cPanel control panel - email is not beeing sent out

    Hello, I'm running a small hosting VPS with CentOS and I have installed the WHM/cPanel control panel. The problem is that the email, either sent from the cPanel webmail or other client like Outlook does not get sent out with no visible error message on the client side.   • Com port redirection from Windows 7 to Windows Server 2008 R2

    We use "Copy file.prn to \tsclient\com1" to print from a TS session to a locally attached serial printer. This works fine from Windows XP, but when trying it from a Windows 7 client computer, we get an "Access is denied" error message. And yes, the check box of COM port is selected on the Local Resources tab of the Remote Desktop Connection client. Any pointers? Has anyone even managed to do this successfully?

  • A Firefox "master password" feature that's friendly to guest users?

    I use the "master password" feature of Firefox and like it for a number of reasons. It does have it's drawbacks, though: anytime I hand my laptop over to my girlfriend so she can check her email on it, she's continually confronted with the prompt to enter my master password. I have since disabled the feature and am back to square one. Is there an addon or tweak that will help?

    Hi, I've installed SCCM SP2 - primary site, management point. I imported to it a vPro computer, but it's AMT status is "Unknown" instead of "Not Provisioned". I wanted to check the reason, but I can't find the file amtopmgr.log (it should be there). Why this file wasn't created? How can I solve it? (I tried to create this file manually - didn't help...)   • Java update "Failed to download required installation files."

    On my Windows 7 machine the Java update consistently fails with this error message. This seems to a common problem, does anyone have an insight into what's going wrong, and is there a fix for it other than either disabling the update check (seems a bad idea from a security point of view) or waiting for the nag message and then manually installing the new version (annoying and stupid from a usability point of view). Note that I did install the previous version manually (updating from 6.23 to 6.30 I think?), thinking that might resolve the issue, but no luck.

    I'm trying to get MySQL to function as a backend for authenticating users on CentOS 6.3. So far I have successfully installed and configured libnss-mysql. I can test this by doing: # groups testuser testuser : sftp Testuser is a member of the sftp group in fact, all MySQL based useraccounts will be hardcoded to it. The sftp group is chrooted and forced to use internal-sftp so they cannot do anything but access their home directory. Then I configured pam-mysql and PAM to allow mysql logins. This also works.. When SELinux is not enforcing. When I do setenforce 1 users can no longer login. Error: Permission denied, please try again.     Using Ubuntu's USB Startup Disk Creator (usb-creator-gtk), I created a LiveUSB from the Xubuntu 9.10 LiveCD. When booting, it stalls up with the Xubuntu mouse splash screen displayed. In attempting to troubleshoot, I used Ctrl-Alt-F1 to check out the first virtual terminal.
