Hence the question: what is good software development plan? Can it be boiled down just to a work breakdown structure; is WBS the single most important thing for a software development plan anyway?

  • Infopath 2007 and WCF Data Connection

    I am having trouble trying to connect an Infopath 2007 form to an WCF web service. I appears that the Infopath only wants to communicate via a SOAP 1.0 message. To get around the issue for the moment I have created an .asmx web service. Should I consider continuing down this workaround or figure out a way to get WCF to dish out SOAP 1.0 1.1 messages?

I have a list of users and a list of groups, but I'd like to be able to have nesting of the groups: user "Eric" would be in "Users", "Web", and "Administrators". The problem is that I cannot drag a user to an empty <ul> in the list.

Something like that, how do I do that in PHP?     I am trying to work out with ORM tool to move over to and have narrowed it down to two candidates. nHibernate or LLBLGen Pro Please can you guys give me pros and cons in using both these tools especially if you have experience in both. I am not really interested in any other tools but am wanting some heads up so I can decide which tool to spend time learning....   • issue with wpf datagrid cell style when scrolling

    Hi I created a new DataGridCell style for my wpf datagrid (Red Border brush). When I scroll down vertically the selected cells disappear which is ok. When I scroll up I see the selected cells but few of them missing their style and it appear in wrong cells. It look like the data grid remember the selected cells but "forget" their style. Any idea? haim

    I live in Canada, so am fortunate that I can tether. One issue is that to toggle tethering, you need to drill down four screens in Settings, which is just a big hassle. A Google search returned nothing, so I was wondering if anyone here knew the code to turn on/off tethering? I know there's a toggle for SBSettings, but I do not have a jailbroken phone, I just want to create an app I build onto my phone and have an icon for quickly toggling it. Thanks

Now I need to check for validation, I am thinking of using DataAnnotations e.g. public class Customer { [Required] public string FirstName {get;set;} } Now where the issue is how do I pass this validation down to the REST service?     My report has a parameter which uses a base enum. The enum has 4 different options to choose when running the report. How do I insert an option which uses all 4 at once?     On the iPhone, if an option is too long for the area, instead of wrappeing you get a "..." at the end of the "drop down" and the user will know there is more text than is shown. I want to recreate this with android but am new to it so cant see how. I want the heights of "rows" in my layout to be uniform hence not able to wrap the text. Thanks in advance.

    Why would bitmap outperform vector? My Flash is for a large Kiosk, with rich media requirements and must function accurately as a counter. I want to keep everything vector for scalability. When I did a simple FPS test, I noticed my Bitmap version performed perfectly, and the all vector file was noticeably slower. PLEASE EXPLAIN • vector performance• what graphic standards I can apply• solutions for using vector KIOSK TEST ANIMATION RESULTS • only text and bitmap perform well, not vector • background and clouds OK, but more layers slow it down
