    I want to create an XML document by building a DOM document from scratch, with syntax like: AutoPtr<Document> doc = new Document; AutoPtr<Element> root = doc->createElement("root"); doc->appendChild(root); AutoPtr<Element> element1 = doc->createElementNS("http://ns1", "ns1:element1"); root->appendChild(element1); AutoPtr<Element> element2 = doc->createElementNS("http://ns1", "ns1:element2"); root->appendChild(element2); DOMWriter writer; writer.setNewLine("\n"); writer.setOptions(XMLWriter::PRETTY_PRINT); writer.writeNode(std::cout, doc); But, when I write it, I get next result: <root> <ns1:element1 xmlns:ns1="http://ns1"/> <ns1:element2 xmlns:ns1="http://ns1"/> </root> So namespace ns1 declared two times, and I want to declare it inside "root" element. Is there way to get next representation: <root xmlns:ns1="http://ns1"/> <ns1:element1/> <ns1:element2/> </root>

    Hello, My requirement is that there are 2 parties 1. User (who creates the item) 2.Approvers who approve the item When the user creates the item then they should see only their created item in the list (This is easily possible)...the approvers should have only read access and they can see all the items ...when i select the option that only person who creates the item can see the item then approvers are not able to see the items...can somebody plz help that how to work with this...maybe i am missing some simple stuff so can anybody just point me out to the solution..     I'm using Matplotlib to dynamically generate .png charts from a database. The user may set as the x-axis any given range of datetimes, and I need to account for all of it. While Matplotlib has the dates.AutoDateLocator(), I want the datetime format printed on the chart to be context-specific - e.g. if the user is charting from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., the year/month/day information doesn't need to be displayed.     I am building a module, or component not sure yet, but I need to have a some options that depend on another option. For example, if you choose "A" then options 1, 2 and 3 appear. If you choose "B" then 4,5 and 6 appear. I can make everything appear at once just sending in the but can I make some params only appear after another is chosen? Thank you.

    I've made a web application that has the following architecture: Every form is a UserControl, there is just one actual page (Default.aspx), and a parameter in the URL specifies which UserControl to load. The UserControl is loaded in an UpdatePanel so that it can enjoy full AJAX-iness. There is also an elaborate message displaying mechanism that I use. Eventually messages end up in one designated area on top of the Default.ASPX with some nice formatting 'n stuff. Now, I would also like to capture any unhandled exceptions that originate in the UserControl and display it in this area with all the bells-and-whistles that I've made for messages. How can I do this? The Page.Error and ScriptManager.AsyncPostBackError somehow don't work for me...

  • Fully custom validation error message with Rails

    Using Rails I'm trying to get an error message like "The song field can't be empty" on save. Doing the following: validates_presence_of :song_rep_xyz, :message => "can't be empty" ... only displays "Song Rep XYW can't be empty", which is not good because the title of the field is not user friendly. How can I change the title of the field itself ? I could change the actual name of the field in the database, but I have multiple "song" fields and I do need to have specific field names. I don't want to hack around rails' validation process and I feel there should be a way of fixing that.

For example, I keep all curly braces on the same lines as their declaring class, method, etc, but when generating a controller, it completely disregards my settings.     I had a crazy thought about writing my own SQL Server driver to make it work something like non-blocking http client, so it won't be thread thirsty and could handle lots of db queries within one thread. I tried to look over google for some guidelines about implementing SQL Server client protocol, but found none really, where do those guys get information about it when they write own implementations for PHP or python? I need a really low level to be documented so I can implement all phases of working with a connection through sockets. And would be really nice to have a an example in c# language. :)

  • Using Qt with custom MinGW

    Hi, I don't know if this question would fit better on superuser.com, but since it's rather compiler related, I give it a try here. I have to use Qt with a specific version of gcc (4.5). I downloaded the last official Qt release for Windows (Vista, 32 bits version) and didn't install the shipped MinGW version; I just installed the Qt libraries/binaries. In a console, when I type qmake && make, make fails, complaining that 'g++' is not recognized as an internal command. If I type g++ in the same console, I however have the following output: g++: no input files So g++ is definitely recognized. For those who may ask, both the Qt binaries directory and MinGW binaries directory are in the system PATH environment variable. What could be wrong here ?

But it doesn't works, I've tried without 'exec', with -X option and a lot more. Any ideas ?
