  In Oracle Applications it is possible to configure iSupplier to link to an Oracle iSurvey, and for the Oracle iSurvey to be executed for a Supplier. This integration requires: An Oracle Script An Oracle iSurvey linked to the Oracle Script iSupplier Configuration to reference the iSurvey. Once set up, the iSurvey will be available from the supplier tab from the Purchasing Responsibilities and from the iSupplier Portal.  Responses to the survey can be viewed from the Survey Administrator Responsibility. • Why should I use a web framework's template language over python's templating options?

  I'm coming from a python CGI background and was wanting to move into something more contemporary and think I have decided upon web.py as the framework I would like to use. In regards to templating, previously I used formatted strings and the string.Template module to effect most of my templating needs. After reading through a few of the templating options I have heard mentioned, I began wondering what the main benefits of using something like the Django or jinja templating options over "native" Python templating options were? Am I just going to be replacing $tmpl_var with {{ tmpl_var }} and s.substitute(tmpl_var=value) with t.render(s), i.e., alternate syntax? or will I gain additional advantages from using these templating systems?

  I have a CD of windows 8. I bought a laptop which has a windows 7 OS but I removed it to use Ubuntu 12.04 but for some of the programs I need Windows 8 without separate partitions. I heard about vmware and how it can help to run the OS insideanother.   I am trying to build a minimal vmware image to use for private browsing (also called a browser appliance). I have tried using images for other small linux distros, most of them are either too heavy (I do not want any other functionality than browsing and downloading) or outdated (DSL, various browser appliance images at vmware official site). I have downloaded the minimal Ubuntu install image (12MB) and was hoping to select only the needed pakcages while installing but it was not asking for my choices anywhere. I am new to the command line installation and I would be thankful if someone could point out how to install only needed packages, and what are the bare-minimum packages to browse internet (I plan to use only firefox and transmission)

• Do input template languages exist?

  When I have to create some textual representation of data, I can use a template language, so that my code does not have to worry about the structure of the output file - I can sometimes even write code that's independent of whether the output is XML, LaTeX or any other plain text. A simple example: Template (in separate file): <someXmlTag> $variableName </someXmlTag> Code: Template(temstring).substitute(variableName="value") Result (written to output file): <someXmlTag> value </someXmlTag> I want to do the same, but in the opposite direction. I have XML or plain text or whatever files to input. I want to describe the input structure in a separate file that looks like the input but has these variable declarations in it, and I want to handle it with code that's independent of the structure. Is there a library for this concept? (We usually handle XML input by using an XML parser library to describe the input structure in program code, handle plaintext input by writing regexes in code, and don't handle LaTeX input because LaTeX can't really be parsed.)

• Could not open Selected VM debug port (8700)

  I am trying to debug the android source using Eclipse by following the instructions found at: http://source.android.com/using-eclipse I have downloaded the source, and gotten it to build. I follow the directions in the link above and everything is fine until I run the ddms command. At this point, if Eclipse is running I get the error 'Could not open Selected VM debug port (8700)'. If I close Eclipse, then ddms runs with no problem, and I can the the processes on the emulator. However, if I now open Eclipse, I get the same error. In any case, no matter what I do, if I attempt to remote debug, it always fails with 'Failed to connect to remote VM'. Any ideas? Thanks

  I was wondering if there was a very simple and free virtual machine that would allow you to boot from a folder or disk image that couldn't damage my hard disk. I am using a MacBook and am looking into operating system programming. I found a tutorial on the internet that looked promising (http://www.viralpatel.net/taj/tutorial/hello_world_bootloader.php). I want to try this but using a VM instead of actually booting from a disk. If I made a folder or disk image containing the boot.bin file and wanted to try the OS I made (while booting from a folder or disk image, not a disk), is there a VM that would let me do it? I have no previous experience with virtual machines. I also want to be sure my hard disk would not be damaged.

• resolving localhost in php so can be views outside VM

  I'm running Windows 7. Within, I'm running Virtualbox and Ubuntu. Within Ubuntu, I'm running Apache and using PHP codeigniter. To reference our CSS and JS files, we use this syntax: <?php echo site_url('css/styles.css'); ?> When viewing the site locally (within Ubuntu VM) that resolves to: http://localhost/styles.css So works fine. The catch is when I access that site from within Windows 7 (for IE testing). To access the site in Windows 7, I refer to the IP address of the VM: http://xx.x.x.x/ That loads the site but, alas, all the site_url variables are still being rewritten as 'localhost'. Said files obviously don't exist on the localhost of my windows 7. Is there a way around this short of just hard-coding relative links in my PHP file?

  Whenever I run vm.runInThisContext(code, filename), the ran code reports __filename and __dirname as undefined. This also leads to the situation that any fs.readFile and such calls will not work with relative paths. For example this does not work: fs.readFile('../file', fn); because it does not know where to relate the path to. Specifying the filename as /home/full/path/to/file.js for vm.runInThisContext function does not seem to matter at all. How can I make Node to understand the path to the file?

• Set Java Application's virtual machine max memory without access to VM parameters because of custom

  I'm using a Java application which allows you to import custom files. On import, these files are loaded into memory. The problem is that the files I want to import are very big, this causes an OutOfMemory exception. The crash log also informs me that the VM was started with the java parameter "-Xmx512m", I want to alter this to "-Xmx1024m" so that I got double the memory available. The problem is that this application is using it's own JRE folder and that there's a launcher written in C which is calling the jvm.dll file. In any way, java.exe or javaw.exe are never called and thus I cannot set these parameters myself (if I delete these executables it doesn't matter, can still run the application - this is not the case with the dll). So, my question is, can I set this VM parameter in an other way? I'm even willing to alter the JRE files if there is no other way.

• Why does the Java VM process eat up more RAM then specified in -Xmx parameter?

  I have multiple servers running CentOS 5.4 and only one application running on Java VM. I've configured the Java VM with the following arguments: java -Xmx4500M -server -XX:+UseConcMarkSweepGC -XX:+CMSIncrementalMode -XX:NewSize=1024m -Djava.net.preferIPv4Stack=true -Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote=true The machines I'm running the VM on has 6 GB RAM and no other applications running. After a while, the java process starts to hit the swap space really hard, I get this info out of the top command: 7658 root 25 0 11.7g 3.9g 4796 S 39.4 67.3 543:54.17 java On the other hand, if I connect via JConsole, it reports the Java VM has 2.6 GB used, 4.6 GB commited and 4.6 Gb max. java -version returns: java version "1.6.0_17" Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_17-b04) Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 14.3-b01, mixed mode) Why is the Java VM expanding so much past it's allocated heap size? And where does that memory go, if it's not reported in JConsole?

  Hello Guys; I've a problem with Firefox or MS Office maybe both of them. Our firm has an Intranet and publishes some documents via Intra. MS Office 2007 is used to create document templates and stored as "file://depo/ISO9001//Form/_Form.xlt, _Form.dot" in the server. Unfortunately Firefox can't open these templates or downloads over Intra. Is there any solution to this issue? I don't want to use Firefox after IE after Firefox. • Generating documents with templating from a form

  Hello, I would like to create a document generator with templating. The workflow should be as following: The user input data to a static form (simple text input). The user chooses a graphically designed template. A document with the chosen template containing the user data is generated. The initial templates repository is prepared in advance, but it should be easy to add new templates to the process. I have the full MS Office suite and the preferred file format is an MS .doc. I can do a little VB scripting if needed, but I prefer not to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Anna
