  • jQuery.closest(); traversing down the DOM not up

    Afternoon peoples. I am having a bit of a nightmare traversing a DOM tree properly. And I am trying to traverse from input.save at the bottom right the way up to div.node... This all works well with one copy of the markup but if I duplicate it (obvisouly changing the ID of the uppermost div.node and use jQuery.closest('div.node') for the upper of the div.node's it will return the element below it not the element above it (which is the right one). I've tried using parents() but that also has it's caveats.     I have a web app that works fine on desktop browsers, but struggles on the palm pre browser (via the emulator). How do I debug the app on the palm pre browser? There doesn't seem to be any error console, dom inspector, etc... I'd expect such tools from a web-app oriented phone.

    Are there any Source Code Management (SCM) tools made specifically for solo programmers or small groups of programmers that tracks every small change made to source code in real time? This would require all key strokes to be tracked, and any other small changes like GUI UI editing.     I like the way Doxygen combines with Graphviz dot to generate function caller graphs. I'd like this functionality for other languages as well, apart from the basics that Doxygen supports (C++, C, Java, Objective-C, Python, VHDL, PHP, C#). I'm currently interested in JavaScript, ActionScript 2 and ActionScript 3/Flex but am looking for ways or tools that have a wider language support than Doxygen.   • What's the diff between VSS 6.0 and VSS 2005?

    We've been using VSS 6.0 since time began, but yesterday I nabbed VSS2005 off of our MSDN subscription, it wouldn't let me install it off the ISO through Daemon Tools (not sure why, but I submitted error report to MS...). I noticed it had a program files directory right on the ISO, so I just copied the folder onto my hard drive. Well, I opened up the client and behold, a glamorous version of VSS 6.0 connected to the exact same DB. Anyone know if I'm going to destroy everything by using it?
