    I want to create a webpage with transparent background, a table and some text. I have seen posts related to this, but due to my lack of familiarity with css, I somehow cant get my code to work. I just want a transparent background, while this code is making everything transparent.     According to their documentation, you should use Array hydration rather than record hydration when retrieving data for read-only purposes. However, this means I have to access the attributes of the retrieved object using arrays and string keys: $user['Phonenumbers'][0]['number'] instead of the OO style: $user->PhoneNumbers[0]->number Now I'm kinda new to PHP, but in other languages I've worked with the 2nd notation would be preferable because typos would be caught at compile time while typos in string literals would not be noticed until runtime. Does this apply to PHP/Doctrine?

The second crazy idea i had was to pass the variable values in as part of the third param of the findDependentRowset() method. $menA = $league->findDependentRowset('Model_DbTable_LeagueSummary','MenA',array("I","A")); Any suggestions on how I might use the Zend DB Table Relationship mapping correctly to do this would be appreciated. I'm not interested in the plain, old and ugly $db-select(a,b,c)-where(..) style solution.

    hi guys i need help trying to figure out why the alert box doesnt show up when i run this. im also new at programming. html i due just fine. im currently taking a php class, and the teacher thought it would be fun to have us create a form and validate it. my problem is i am trying to call the function which then would validate it. When link is clicked, I'd like an opened page (in a separate window) to have a google-translator style toolbox that I could use to save the page to a localdisk if I liked it, adding a few tags to the database using php. I understand how to save a file using php, but could You help me with ideas as how to add a toolbar and to send request from toolbar to my processing page?   • Looking for RESTful Suggestions In Porting ASP.NET to MVC.NET

    I've been tasked with porting/refactoring a Web Application Platform that we have from ASP.NET to MVC.NET. Ideally I could use all the existing platform's configurations to determine the properties of the site that is presented. Is it RESTful to keep a SiteConfiguration object which contains all of our various page configuration data in the System.Web.Caching.Cache? There are a lot of settings that need to be loaded when the user acceses our site so it's inefficient for each user to have to load the same settings every time they access. (and in turn, style, configurations for various pages, etc.) PageTemplate is the View that will be rendered and simply defines a layout for where I'm going to inject the UserControls Can somebody please tell me if I'm completely missing the RESTful point here? I'd like to refactor the platform into MVC because it's better to work in but I want to do it right but with a minimum of reinventing-the-wheel because otherwise it won't get approval.     I'm trying to localize a Windows 8 Metro style app as described in a guide on MSDN. This worked very well so far, but now I'm trying to localize a string containing a non-breaking space which appears in a XAML file (originally as hexadecimal xml-escaped string: &#x00a0). Just putting the above string into the Resources.resw file does not work, it appears just as &#x00a0. What do I have to do to get a non-breaking space in my localizations?

  • User control or custom control for this design?

    If I want to create a button control like that, is it supposed to be a User Control or a Custom Control? I am not sure maybe something else? Ideally I want to be able style/animate the main button and the inner button separately; also obviously Ill need to process their events separately. These buttons will be created at run-time and Ill need to set the icons dynamically.

    I have been catching up on my c++ lately, after a couple years of exclusive Objective-C on iOS, and the topic that comes up most on 'new style' c++ is RAII To make sure I understand RAII concept correctly, would you consider Objective-C lazy loading property accessors a type of RAII? For example, check the following access method - (NSArray *)items { if(_items==nil) { _items=[[NSArray alloc] initWithCapacity:10]; } return _items } Would this be considered an example of RAII? If not, can you please explain where I'm mistaken?
