sIFR - getting a:hover to work in navigation list

Hi, I am currently struggling with sIFR and a:hover. I tried different solution with no success either. When I write sIFR.replace(braganza, { selector: 'div#top-nav li', css: 'a { background-color: transparent; color: #FFFFFF; line-height: 13px; font-size: 11px; text-decoration: underline; cursor: pointer; } a:hover { color: #592b02; }', wmode: 'transparent' }); (which seems logical to me), the list items are not rendered at all. However what I really want is to execute a file that is installed by a merge module. How do I do this? I can make changes in the merge module, if this helps things.

Saving twice don't update my object in JDO

Hello I have an object persisted in the GAE datastore using JDO. The object looks like this: public class MyObject implements Serializable, StoreCallback { @PrimaryKey @Persistent(valueStrategy = IdGeneratorStrategy.IDENTITY) @Extension(vendorName="datanucleus", key="gae.encoded-pk", value="true") private String id; @Persistent private String firstId; ... } As usually when the object is stored for the first time a new id value is generated for the identifier. I need that if I don't provide a value for firstId it sets the same value as the id. I don't want to solve it with a special getter which checks for null value in firstId and then return the id value because I want to make queries relating on firstId. I can do it in this way by saving the object twice (Probably there's a better way to do this, but I'll do it in this way until I find a better one). But it is not working. when I debug it I can see that result.firstId is set with the id value and it seems to be persisted, but when I go into the datastore I see that firstId is null (as it was saved the first time). This save method is in my DAO and it is called in another save method in the service annotated with @Transactional. Out of Memory When Loading Java Entities

I have a terrible problem that hopefully has a very simple answer. I am running out of memory when I perform a basic If I have code like this: MyEntity myEntity; for (Object id: someIdList) { myEntity = find(id); // do something basic with myEntity } And the find() method is a standard EntityManager related method: public MyEntity find(Object id) { return em.find(mycorp.ejb.entity.MyEntity.class, id); } This code worked a couple of weeks ago, and works fine if there are fewer items in the database. The resulting error I am facing is: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: GC overhead limit exceeded The exception is coming from oracle toplink calling some oracle jdbc methods. The loop exists because an EJBQL such as "select object(o) from MyEntity as o" will overload the application server when there are lots of records.

Im trying to define a LinearLayout which contains another LinearLayout which should always be desplayed in the horizontal and vertical center. Can I access Spring session-scoped beans from application-scoped beans? How?

I'm trying to make this 2-player web game application using Spring MVC. I have session-scoped beans Player and application-scoped bean GameList, which creates and stores Game instances and passes them to Players. On player creates a game and gets its ID from GameList and other player sends ID to GameList and gets Game instance. The Game instance has its players as attributes. Problem is that each player sees only himself instead of the other one. Example of what each player sees: First player (Alice) creates a game: Creator: Alice, Joiner: Empty Second player (Bob) joins the game: Creator: Bob, Joiner: Bob First player refreshes her browser Creator: Alice, Joiner: Alice What I want them to see is Creator: Alice, Joiner: Bob. Easy way to achieve this is saving information about players instead of references to players, but the game object needs to call methods on its player objects, so this is not a solution. I think it's because of aop:scoped-proxy of session-scoped Player bean. If I understand this, the Game object has reference to proxy, which refers to Player object of current session. nhibernate/fluenthibernate throws StackOverflowException

Hi there! In my project I am using NHibernate/FluentNHibernate, and I am working with two entities, contracts and services. Id { get; set; } // other properties here public virtual Activity.Models.TTLCContract Contract { get; set; } // implementation of Equals // and GetHashCode here } Ok, so as you can see, I want my contract object to have many services, and each Service needs to have a reference to the parent Contract. I am using FluentNhibernate. So my mappings file are the following: public TTLCContractMapping() { Table("tab_tlc_contracts"); Id(x => x.Id, "tlc_contract_id"); HasMany(x => x.Services) .Inverse() .Cascade.All() .KeyColumn("tlc_contract_id") .AsSet(); } and public TTLCServiceMapping() { Table("tab_tlc_services"); Id(x => x.Id, "tlc_service_id"); References(x => x.Contract) .Not.Nullable() .Column("tlc_contract_id"); } and here comes my problem: if I retrieve the list of all contracts in the db, it works. if I retrieve the list of all services in a given contract, I get a StackOverflowException.... Do you see anything wrong with what I wrote? Have I made any mistake? Please let me know if you need any additional information. Oh yes, I missed to say... looking at the stacktrace I see the system is loading all the services and then it is loading again the contracts related to those services. Convert XML namespace prefixes with C#?

I have run into an exasperating problem getting a Java service client to communicate successfully with a WCF service. I have overcome many hurdles, and I believe that this is my last one. The problem boils down to how Java Axis + WSS4J seem to handle xml namespaces. The Java platform seem to be very rigid in what they expect for xml namespace prefixes, and as such, do not understand the WCF reply messages. My problem in a nutshell is as follows. Since neither of those namespaces are present in the actual response xml, exceptions are thrown. I am wondering if there is any simple way to transform an xml document from one set of namespaces to another set using C#, .NET, and the System.Xml namespace. I've poked around with XmlNamespaceManager a bit, but it does not seem to fully support what I need...or at least, I have been unable to find any really useful examples, and am not fully sure how it works. I am trying to avoid having to write some heavy-duty process to handle this manually myself, as I do not want to drastically impact the performance of our services when called by a Java Axis/WSS4J client.

How to get around the event bubble using jQuery's: .live()

Hi there. Here is the code in question: $(".navItems>ul>li").live('click', function(){ var selectorID = $(this).attr('id'); $(".infoList").slideUp('fast', function(){ switchTabInfo(selectorID); }); function switchTabInfo(selectorID){ var actionID = selectorID.substring(4); actionID = "#" + actionID; $(actionID).slideDown(); } So in short i have a these .infoList classes with id names tied to back to the nav li id. That lists item's id might be nav_testsHistory for example. With all the content boxes hidden by class name this javascript makes a pleasing slide up, down effect. But the third content box flickers as will the second one after a third box push. It slides up and down a second unnecessary time. If I add an alert like this: $(".navItems>ul>li").live('click', function(){ var selectorID = $(this).attr('id'); $(".infoList").slideUp('fast', function(){ switchTabInfo(selectorID); alert('bubble'); }); The alert fires 3 times?! So my research took to reading about the event bubble. What I cannot find is how to check if it has been fired. I have not tried setting an input val and doing a tf test around the nested slider action. Cause that's crude. More info, all the code above is in a function, which is in an init() function, which is called on document ready. That's the only js file besides jquery 1.3.2. What do you guys think?

WCF Duplex Interaction with Web Server

Here is my scenario, and it is causing us a considerable amount of grief at the moment: We have a vendor web service which provides base level telephony functionality. This service has a SOAP api, which we are leveraging to build up a custom UI that is integrated into our in house web apps. The api functions on 2 levels. You make standard client calls into the service to initiate actions, such as Login, Place Call, Hang Up, etc. On a different thread, the service sends events back to the client to alert the user of things that are occurring on the system (agent successfully logged in, call was disconnected, etc). I implemented a WCF service to sit between the web server and the vendor service. This WCF service operates in duplex mode, establishing a 2 way connection with the web server. The web server makes outbound calls to the WCF service, which routes them to the vendor's web service. Events are received back to the WCF service, which passes them onto the web server via a callback channel on the WCF client. As events are received on the web server, they are placed into a hash table with the user's name as the key, and a .NET queue as the value to hold the event. Each event is enqueued to the agent who owns it. On a 2 second interval, the web page polls the web server via an ajax request to get new events for the logged in user. It hits the hash table for the user key, dequeues any events that are present, and serializes them back up to the web page. From there, they are processed in order and appropriate messages are displayed to the user. This implementation performs well in a single user scenario. The second I put more than 1 user on the system, I start getting frequent timeouts with the following CommunicationException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond We are running Windows Server 2008 R2 both servers. Both the web app and WCF service are running on .NET 3.5. The WCF service is running under the net.tcp protocol in duplex mode. The web app is ASP.NET MVC 2. qtableview (libqt) how do I correctly create a QModelIndex

Mapping Hashmap of Coordinates in Hibernate with Annotation

I've just started using hibernate and I'm trying to map walking distance between two coordinates into a hashmap, There can be many connections from one "FromCoordinate" to another "ToCoordinate". I'm not sure if i've implemented this correctly, What annotations do i need to map this MashMap? How do I specify the block object / predicate required by NSDictionary's keysOfEntriesPassingTest ?

For learning (not practical -- yet) purposes, I'd like to use the following method on an NSDictionary to give me back a set of keys that have values using a test I've defined. Unfortunately have no idea how to specify the predicate. NSDictionary keysOfEntriesPassingTest: - (NSSet *)keysOfEntriesPassingTest:(BOOL (^)(id key, id obj, BOOL *stop))predicate Let's say for example all my values are NSURLs, and I'd like to get back all the URLs that are on port 8080. Here's my stab at coding that -- though it doesn't really make sense to me that it'd be correct: NSSet * mySet = [myDict keysOfEntriesPassingTest:^(id key, id obj, BOOL *stop) { if( [[obj port] isEqual: [NSNumber numberWithInt: 8080]]) { return key; }] And that's because I get back the following compiler error: incompatible block pointer types initializing 'void (^)(struct objc_object *, struct objc_object *, BOOL *)', expected 'BOOL (^)(struct objc_object *, struct objc_object *, BOOL *)' What am I missing? I'd appreciate a pointer at some docs that go into more detail about the "Block object" that the predicate is supposed to be. Thanks!

How to avoid loading a LINQ to SQL object twice when editting it on a website.

Hi guys I know you are all tired of this Linq-to-Sql questions, but I'm barely starting to use it (never used an ORM before) and I've already find some "ugly" things. I'm pretty used to ASP.NET Webforms old school developing, but I want to leave that behind and learn the new stuff (I've just started to read a ASP.NET MVC book and a .NET 3.5/4.0 one). So here's is one thing I didn't like and I couldn't find a good alternative to it. In most examples of editing a LINQ object I've seen the object is loaded (hitting the db) at first to fill the current values on the form page. Then, the user modify some fields and when the "Save" button is clicked, the object is loaded for second time and then updated. Here's a simplified example of ScottGu NerdDinner site. // // GET: /Dinners/Edit/5 [Authorize] public ActionResult Edit(int id) { Dinner dinner = dinnerRepository.GetDinner(id); return View(new DinnerFormViewModel(dinner)); } // // POST: /Dinners/Edit/5 [AcceptVerbs(HttpVerbs.Post), Authorize] public ActionResult Edit(int id, FormCollection collection) { Dinner dinner = dinnerRepository.GetDinner(id); UpdateModel(dinner); dinnerRepository.Save(); return RedirectToAction("Details", new { id=dinner.DinnerID }); } As you can see the dinner object is loaded two times for every modification. Unless I'm missing something about LINQ to SQL caching the last queried objects or something like that I don't like getting it twice when it should be retrieved only one time, modified and then comitted back to the database. So again, am I really missing something? Or is it really hitting the database twice (in the example above it won't harm, but there could be cases that getting an object or set of objects could be heavy stuff). If so, what alternative do you think is the best to avoid double-loading the object? Thank you so much, Greetings!

Database design suggestions for a configurable product eshop

Hello, I am biulding an e-shop that will have configurable products. The configurable parts will need to have different prices and stocks from the main product. What database design would be best in this case? I started with something like this. Features id name Features Options id id_feature value Products id name price Products Features id id_product id_feature value ( save the value from the feature-options for ease in search ) configurable (yes, no) The problem is that now I am stuck on how to save the configurable product features. I was thinking of saving their value as a json. But that will make saving price modification for a certain option difficult. How would you go about this ? Thank you.
