    I have a ton of IIS monthly logs. Can someone recommend software that can help me analyze them (e.g. visitors, os/browser statistics, all the standard stuff)? I'd like a piece of software that does not require me to setup a server or anything complicated. Simply point it to a file or folder and it'll do the rest.   • Arch linux, openbox Monaco font problem

    Im trying to setup a minimal desktop with openbox window manager on Arch linux. I noticed these weird font rendering issues with Monaco font. Below font size 13, alternate font sizes are rendered in an aliased, ugly manner. The same Arch installation has no problem rendering Monaco font when running under xfce. some of the characters even look completely different. I tried tweaking my .fonts.conf, but no luck.

    Hello, I have setup a certificate on Apache server. When I access my site's https pages, I see the certificate flashing (in FireFox's url tab) and disappearing immediately. The browser stays in the same windows (https) but now certificate info is not displayed and the connection is not encrypted. Can anyone recommend on how I can even start checking what is wrong ? (Certificate fail ? Bad config ?) Thanks

  • Overlapping dual monitors

    I have dual monitor setup and I was wondering if there's a way to specifiy an overlap between the 2 displays. Ideally, the area where the 2 monitors cross over would be repeated on both monitors (ven diagram-ish). Currently the display settings can only work when they're adjacent. On a side note, is it possible to seperate the monitors so that there's an assumed space between the displays? I'm currently running windows 7.

  • Apple Airport Extreme and PS3/PSP remote play

    I have not been able to get remote play over internet working through my AEBS. I have fiddled around with countless settings and also tried to telnet into the router, to no avail. The setup works fine inside the netowrk (I can remotely turn on my PS3 wirelessly using my PSP). However, outside the home network I cannot get it to work. Any help would be most appreciated.

I feel like Registry Mechanic is a good software--it was recommended to me at #computerhelp on irc.undernet.org, a long time ago, by an op that never steered me wrong, otherwise--, so I feel like I should give the issue due attention.     My setup is Ubuntu 10.04 on AWS Autossh to create a tunnel for MySQL The tunnel is automatically created using Upstart (/etc/init/autossh.conf): respawn console none start on (local-filesystems and net-device-up IFACE=eth0) stop on [!12345] script #user/IP Address redacted exec autossh -M 20000 -o StrictHostKeyChecking=no -L 3306:127.0.0.1:3306 [email protected] end script On boot the tunnel is created, works great. After some random idle time it dies. Any thoughts on how to keep it alive? I don't know what's killing autossh.

    I have setup 1 Domain and 1 Sub domain in IIS 7 - Set the bindings/ports etc When I browse to the subdomain url I get the website of the main domain. I have not configured an A record for the subdomain. Is this the problem? Its the same if I browe the non www version it rewrites or redirects to the www version.

    To enable SQLite on my Windows/Apache/PHP setup, I uncomment the following lines in the php.ini file and restart Apache: extension=php_pdo.dll extension=php_pdo_sqlite.dll Now I have a VPS with Suse Linux 10.3 and Apache/PHP was set automatically. Looking through the php.ini file to make the above changes, I see that things are a little different on Linux: there is no list of extensions to uncomment I found "extension_dir = /usr/lib/php5/extensions" but in this directory find only: pdo.so pdo_mysql.so How can I enable SQLite in this Linux environment?

    I've been trying to find some decent tutorials on how to set up a recent release of Cherokee webserver on Ubuntu (or equivalent Linux distros) which outline how to setup the webserver, mysql, phpmyadmin and php. Some already exist, such as http://www.howtoforge.com/installing-cherokee-with-php5-and-mysql-support-on-ubuntu-10.04 however, I've found that the Cherokee version used in the tutorial is considerably out of date and the update process has been painful to say the least.   • SBS domain name choice

    We are about to set up SBS 2011 at my small company < 10 users. My collaborator wants to name the SBS domain "example.local" . I'm of the opinion we should name the SBS domain "corp.example.com" and setup DNS so the "corp" record is a NS record to the SBS server's private IP. FYI: "Example.com" isn't the real domain name and while the website is hosted outside our office, email will be stored on the SBS server in our office after passing though a spam filtering smart host hosted elsewhere too.
