  • How to Integrate C++ compiler in Visual Studio 2008

    Hi Can someone help me with this issue? I currently working on my project for final year of my honors degree. And we are developing a application to evaluate programming assignments of student ( for 1st year student level) I just want to know how to integrate C++ compiler using C# code to compile C++ code. In our case we are loading a student C++ code into text area, then with a click on button we want to compile the code. And if there any compilation errors it will be displayed on text area nearby. (Interface is attached herewith.) And finally it able to execute the code if there aren't any compilation errors. And results will be displayed in console. We were able to do this with a C#(C# code will be loaded to text area intead of C++ code) code using inbuilt compiler. But still not able to do for C# code. Can anyone suggest a method to do this? It is possible to integrate external compiler to VS C# code? If possible how to achieve it? Very grateful if anyone will contributing to solve this matter?   • Getting counts of 0 from a query with a double group by

    I'm trying to write a query that gets the counts for a table (call it item) categorized by two different things, call them type and code. What I'm hoping for as output is the following: Type Code Count 1 A 3 1 B 0 1 C 10 2 A 0 2 B 13 2 C 2 And so forth. Both type and code are found in lookup tables, and each item can have just one type but more than one code, so there's also a pivot (aka junction or join) table for the codes. I have a query that can get this result: Type Code Count 1 A 3 1 C 10 2 B 13 2 C 2 and it looks like (with join conditions omitted): SELECT typelookup.name, codelookup.name, COUNT(item.id) FROM typelookup LEFT OUTER JOIN item JOIN itemcodepivot RIGHT OUTER JOIN codelookup GROUP BY typelookup.name, codelookup.name Is there any way to alter this query to get the results I'm looking for? This is in MySQL, if that matters. I'm not actually sure this is possible all in one query, but if it is I'd really like to know how. Thanks for any ideas.

  • How to bundle shell script and C code?

    I have a C shell script that calls two C programs - one after the another with some file handling before, in-between and afterwards. Now, as such I have three different files - one C shell script and 2 .c files. I need to give this script to other users. The problem is that I have to distribute three files - which the users must keep in the same folder and then execute the script. Is there some better way to do this? [I know I can make one C code file out of those two... but I will still be left with a shell script and a C code. Actually, the two C codes do entirely different things... so I want them to be separate]

Or does it have it's own printing sequence style? unsigned int a = 0x000000FF; NSLog(@"%x", a); Results of above code on little or big endian processors are equal or different? And how about NSString's -initWithFormat method? Does it follows this rule equally?

The first time you hit the Show the div button, it works. Also, the Hide the div works. Then when I click to show the div again, it appears to the right of where it is supposed to be! Why is this?!?     Background: I have a short list of strings. The number of strings is not always the same, but are nearly always of the order of a “handful” In our database will store these strings in a 2nd normalised table These strings are never changed once they are written to the database. We wish to be able to match on these strings quickly in a query without the performance hit of doing lots of joins. So I am thinking of storing a hash code of all these strings in the main table and including it in our index, so the joins are only processed by the database when the hash code matches. So how do I get a good hashcode? I could: Xor the hash codes of all the string together Xor with multiply the result after each string (say by 31) Cat all the string together then get the hashcode Some other way So what do people think? (If you care we are using .NET and SqlServer)

    Dear experts, I would like to implement a API of Javascript that sort of resemble a light switch. For instance, there are two buttons on the actual HTML page act as the UI. Both of the buttons have event handlers that invokes a different function. Each function have codes that act like a state, for instance. button1.onclick=function (){ $("div").click( //code effects 2 ) } button2.onclick=function (){ $("div").click( //Code effects 2 ) } I the code works fine on the surface but the 2 state functions overlap. the effects is going to take place for the rest of the way until the next reload of the document. Basically what I want to achieve is that when 1 button is clicked, it will switch "OFF" the state of function invoked by the other button and vice versa. Thus, the effects achieved are unique are not overlapped. Is there anyway to achieve this or could any experts point me to the right direction. Thanks in advance.

    I'm doing a bit of preliminary research on an upcoming project and I have a quick question that I figure I'll throw up here while I look elsewhere, in case anyone has any experience with this. The question is simple: is it possible to read a QR code using JavaScript? Is there a remote service to which I can pass a bitmap object from a camera and do it that way? Are there currently any libraries that allow this? The project is going to be deployed to various mobile devices and we'd like to try to use Appcelerator to make it work. I know Appcelerator does expose the Camera API on its host devices, but whatever we do with it has to be able to parse QR codes. Is this something that can be done? Thanks in advance! myk

  • (VB or C#) Run app in system tray and listen to keyboard input even when the app is not in focus

    I want to make an app which on loading sits in the system tray and even after I open another program (say notepad or vlc or anything) i.e. even when the app is not in focus and if I press "G" on my keyboard, the tray icon should show a tool tip - "key G is pressed". I have tried several codes but nothing works when the app goes out of focus. I can use Register Hot Key (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms646309(VS.85).aspx) but it needs a modifier also (like Ctrl or Alt etc. along with my key G). So, is there any way I can achieve this? something which many tray icons do like antivirus apps, etc. and I do not want to use AutoHotkey application. I want to build one but need some help. Thanks!

  • Making Django ignore string literals

    UPDATE: It turns out this is a deeper question than I thought at first glance - the issue is that python is replacing the string literals before they ever get to django. I will do more investigating and update this if I find a solution. I'm using django to work with LaTeX templates for report generation, and am running into a lot of problems with the way Django replaces parts of strings. Specficially, I've run into two problems where I try to insert a variable containing latex code. The first was that it would replace HTML characters, such as the less than symbol, with their HTML codes, which are of course gibberish to a LaTeX interpreter. I fixed this by setting the context to never autoescape, like so: c = Context(inputs) c.autoescape = False However, I still have my second issue, which is that Django replaces string literals with their corresponding characers, so a double backslash becomes \, and \b becomes a backspace. How can I force Django to leave these characters in place, so inputs['variable'] = '{\bf this is code} \\' won't get mangled when I use {{variable}} to reference it in the django template?
