Using numeric values to select item from a dropdown box with JavaScript

Hi, I have a multitude of dropdown boxes within my webpage. One of these dropdown boxes is used for a single selected value out of a list of options. <SELECT id="Box0" name=""> <OPTION value="0">none</OPTION> <OPTION value="1">first</OPTION> <OPTION value="2">second</OPTION> </SELECT> How can I add an event to this section, so when it is in focus, I could use numeric keys like 1,2.. to select an option instead of using the mouse or arrow keys for selecting an option? For clarification: if I press "1" on my keyboard, the selected value would become "first", with "2" the selected value becomes "second". I choose not to use a library/framework such as JQuery/Mootools. Thanks,

However when the logging rolls - the filename that gets generated is ApplicationLog.txt20100323 (for example), and not ApplicationLog20100323.txt How can I change the configuration so files are rolled to [FileName][Date].[ext] rather than [FileName].[ext][Date] Thanks

How to printf a time_t variable as a floating point number?

Hi guys, I'm using a time_t variable in C (openMP enviroment) to keep cpu execution time...I define a float value sum_tot_time to sum time for all cpu's...I mean sum_tot_time is the sum of cpu's time_t values. The problem is that printing the value sum_tot_time it appear as an integer or long, by the way without its decimal part! I tried in these ways: to printf sum_tot_time as a double being a double value to printf sum_tot_time as float being a float value to printf sum_tot_time as double being a time_t value to printf sum_tot_time as float being a time_t value Please help me!!

I am coding a form generator. So far, so good, then I decided to give it a real test. I made a form with some nested each holding a few controls. I will post the HTML at the end. If you load it into a browser, it renders, but is obviously wrong. I had previously tested using the W3C validator and things were fine, but that was for non nested. I'm trying to get the value of the repeatInterval key in the com.apple.scheduler plist. I'd like to just use NSDictionary's valueForKeyPath: method like so: CFPropertyListRef value; value = CFPreferencesCopyValue(CFSTR("AbsoluteSchedule"), CFSTR("com.apple.scheduler"), kCFPreferencesCurrentUser, kCFPreferencesCurrentHost); NSNumber *repeatInterval = [(NSDictionary *)value valueForKeyPath:@"com.apple.SoftwareUpdate.SUCheckSchedulerTag.Timer.repeatInterval"]; But the problem with this is that the first key is really "com.apple.SoftwareUpdate", not just "com". I can get around this by getting that first value separately: NSDictionary *dict = [(NSDictionary *)value valueForKey:@"com.apple.SoftwareUpdate"]; NSNumber *repeatInterval = [dict valueForKeyPath:@"SUCheckSchedulerTag.Timer.repeatInterval"]; I just wanted to know if there is a way to escape periods in a keypath so I can eliminate this extra step.

I wrote a custom assembly to take a parameter value from the report and return a field from the dataset collection. My assembly returns the correct fields!name.value, but it shows me the string representation of it. How can I get it to resolve as the actual fields!name.value to display the actual data in the dataset? If I enter fields!name.value in manually it works fine showing me the value. If I resolve it with my custom code it display "fields!name.value" to me in the cell.

Simple Counter issue

Delegates doesnot work properly

HOw Do I update from table-2 to table-1

I am learning JPA and have confusion in the @SequenceGenerator annotation. Upto my understanding, it automatically assigns a value to numeric identity fields/properties of an entity. Q1. Does this sequence generator make use of the database's increasing numeric value generating capability or generates the number on his own? Q2. If JPA uses database auto increement feauture, then will it work with datastores that don't have auto increement feature? Q3. If JPA generate numeric value on his own, then how the JPA implementation knows which value to generate next? Does it consult with the database first to see what value was stored last so as to generate the value (last + 1). ====================================================================================== Q4. Please also throw some light on sequenceName and allocationSize properties of @SequenceGenerator annotation.
