• System.Windows.Ria.Controls and POCO

  I'm trying to figure out how to use POCO for silverlight use. I found an article that appears it will step me through the basics. However, it has in it a reference to the System.Windows.Ria.Controls. i don't have that on my machine.. i found System.Windows.Ria but not one that has teh control on it. I just downloaded teh RIA beta today and installed it.. so should have the latest and greatest. Anyway.. • Redirect on Ajax Jquery Call

  Hi, I am newbie to ajax here and I know somebody would have encountered this problem already.   Hi! I want to execute JavaScript when document is ready without much syntax overhead. Warning in master page is Expected expression at the line <asp:ContentPlaceHolder. In inherited pages warning is Could not find 'OnReadyScript' in the current master page or pages. I tried using Writer.Write in master page to render script tag and wrapping code: <% Writer.Write(@"<script type=""text/javascript"">$(document).ready(function () {"); %> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="OnReadyScrit" runat="server" /> <% Writer.Write(@"});"); %> but page rendering terminates after opening script tag is rendered. • extracting RDL data using LINQ

  I'm working with some SQL Report definition files (RDLs), using LINQ to extract component query statements for validation. I'm trying to extract the <DataSet> elements from under the <DataSets> element. I seem to be getting hung up with one of the elements under <DataSet><Fields><Field> which has a namespace qualifier <rd:TypeName> I've been using LINQ to XML for other parts of the files where there is no namespace qualifiers with no trouble, by specifying a default namespace. The RDL specifies two namespaces: xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sqlserver/reporting/2005/01/reportdefinition" xmlns:rd="http://schemas.microsoft.com/SQLServer/reporting/reportdesigner"> When I try to get the <DataSets> element, however, I get the following error: System.Xml.XmlException - The ':' character, hexadecimal value 0x3A, cannot be included in a name. I know it has to do with the namespace qualifier (rd:) in one of the child elements, but I'm having difficulty getting a LINQ expression that works. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have also noticed that "mkdirs()" does not seem to create the directory. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm testing on an AVD with a 2GB sd card and "hw.sdCard: yes", the File Explorer of DDMS in Eclipse tells me that the only directory on the sdcard is "LOST.DIR".

  I have a WCF service running, I added a reference to the service by using Add Service Reference in the solution explorer, and I checked the box for create asynchronous operations. My call works fine, I have a two way channel that reports back some events from the server and I am receiving the events.   I'm trying to learn about shift-reduce parsing. Suppose we have the following grammar, using recursive rules that enforce order of operations, inspired by the ANSI C Yacc grammar: S: A; P : NUMBER | '(' S ')' ; M : P | M '*' P | M '/' P ; A : M | A '+' M | A '-' M ; And we want to parse 1+2 using shift-reduce parsing. First, the 1 is shifted as a NUMBER. My question is, is it then reduced to P, then M, then A, then finally S? How does it know where to stop? Suppose it does reduce all the way to S, then shifts '+'. We'd now have a stack containing: S '+' If we shift '2', the reductions might be: S '+' NUMBER S '+' P S '+' M S '+' A S '+' S Now, on either side of the last line, S could be P, M, A, or NUMBER, and it would still be valid in the sense that any combination would be a correct representation of the text. How does the parser "know" to make it A '+' M So that it can reduce the whole expression to A, then S? In other words, how does it know to stop reducing before shifting the next token? Is this a key difficulty in LR parser generation?

• Capture keystrokes (e.g., function keys) while a messagebox is up

  We have a large WinForms app, and there is a built-in bug reporting system that can be activated during testing via the F5 Key. I am capturing the F5 key with .Net's PreFilterMessage system. This works fine on the main forms, modal dialog boxes, etc. Unfortunately, the program also displays windows messageboxes when it needs to. When there is a bug with that, e.g., wrong text in the messagebox or it shouldn't be there, the messagefilter isn't executed at all when the messagebox is up! I realize I could fix it by either rewriting my own messagebox routine, or kicking off a separate thread that polls GetAsyncKeyState and calls the error reporter from there. However I was hoping for a method that was less of a hack. • Checking if a RoutedEvent has any handlers

  I've got a custom Button class, that always performs the same action when it gets clicked (opening a specific window). I'm adding a Click event that can be assigned in the button's XAML, like a regular button. When it gets clicked, I want to execute the Click event handler if one has been assigned, otherwise I want to execute the default action. The problem is that there's apparently no way to check if any handlers have been added to an event. I thought a null check on the event would do it: if (Click == null) { DefaultClickAction(); } else { RaiseEvent(new RoutedEventArgs(ClickEvent, this));; } ...but that doesn't compile. The compiler tells me that I can't do anything other than += or -= to an event outside of the defining class, event though I'm trying to do this check INSIDE the defining class. I've implemented the correct behavior myself, but it's ugly and verbose and I can't believe there isn't a built-in way to do this. I must be missing something.   I have to query a Message that is in a provided list of Groups and has not been Deactivated by the current user. Here is some pseudo code to illustrate the properties and entities: class Message { private int messageId; private String messageText; } class Group { private String groupId; private int messageId; } class Deactivated { private String userId; private int messageId; } Here is an idea of what I need to query for, it's the last AND clause that I don't know how to do (I made up the compound NOT IN expression). Filtering the deactivated messages by userId can result in multiple messageIds, how can I check if that subset of rows does not contain the messageId? SELECT msg FROM Message msg, Group group, Deactivated unactive WHERE group.messageId = msg.messageId AND (group.groupId = 'groupA' OR group.groupId = 'groupB' OR ...) AND ('someUserId', msg.messageId) NOT IN (unactive.userId, unactive.messageId) I don't know the number of groupIds ahead of time -- I receive them as a Collection<String> so I'll need to traverse them and add them to the JPQL dynamically.

  Hi, I am trying to develop a JAX WS web service with WS-Security features in WebLogic 10.3. I have used the ant tasks WSDLC, JWSC and ClientGen to generate skeleton/stub for this web service. I have two keystores namely WSIdentity.jks and WSTrust.jks which contains the keys and certificates. One of the alias of WSIdentity.jks is "ws02p".   Hello, With the help of tucuxi from the existing post Java remove HTML from String without regular expressions I have built a method that will parse out any basic HTML tags from a string. Sometimes, however, the original string contains html hexadecimal characters like é (which is an accented e). I have started to add functionality which will translate these escaped characters into real characters. You're probably asking: Why not use regular expressions? Or a third party library? Unfortunately I cannot, as I am developing on a BlackBerry platform which does not support regular expressions and I have never been able to successfully add a third party library to my project. So, I have gotten to the point where any é is replaced with "e". My question now is, how do I add an actual 'accented e' to a string? • How to upgrade the project build in visual studio 2005 to visual studio 2008?

  I have one OPC ( OLE for Process control ) server project which is developed into visual studio 2005. I want to run it in visual studio 2008. The coding for the OPC server project is done in VC++. I want to connect my OPC client to this OPC server. When I was opened the OPC server project which was build into visual studio 2005 into visual studio 2008 first time it was asking for conversion wizard. I gone through that wizard & successfully finished that wizard. But when I build ( by right clicking on the project & choosing build solution ) it is giving lots of error near about 64 errors. Most of the errors are like - fetal error C1083:Can not open type library file:'msxml4.dll':No such file or directory, fetal error LINK1181:can not open input file 'rpcndr.lib' , error C2051:case expression not constant. only these 3 types of errors in am getting. All these 3 errors are repeated in Error list & becoming bunch of 64 errors. Please provide me the solution for the above issue. Can you provide me any suusgestion or link or any way through whcih I can resolve the above issue?

• android keylistener losing key taps

  I am using a keylistener to get key taps. The problem is that once you tap the delete key, the next key tap is not registering. The key tap after that keeps working. If I tap 2 deletes in a row, they work, just no other keys. They just disappear. I put in a log test before the "if (keycode" section and it shows nothing after the first delete is pressed, unless it is another delete.   Summary I want to be able to call a JavaScript function from a Flex app using ExternalInterface and pass a reference to a different JavaScript function as an argument. Base Example Given the following JavaScript: function foo(callback) { // ... do some stuff callback(); } function bar() { // do some stuff that should happen after a call to foo } I want to call foo from my flex app using ExternalInterface and pass a reference to bar as the callback. Why Really,foo is not my function (but, rather, FB.Connect.showBookmarkDialog), which due to restrictions on Facebook iframe apps can only be called on a button click. My button, for design reasons, is in the Flex app. Fortunately, it's possible to call ExternalInterface.call("FB.Connect.showBookmarkDialog", callback) to display the bookmark dialog. But, FB.Connect.showBookmarkDialog requires a JS callback so, should I want to receive a callback (which I do), I need to pass a reference to a JS function as the single argument. What I'm trying to do is simply bind the Content of the label to the checkbox's IsChecked value. • Android:Multi touch doesn't work as expected?

  Hi folks, Help me in resolving the below issue. I have three image buttons on screen. All these three buttons controlled under ontouchlistner as below. buttonOne.setOnTouchListener(this); buttonTwo.setOnTouchListener(this); buttonThree.setOnTouchListener(this); I override "public boolean onTouch(View v, MotionEvent event)". Under this i check for these three image buttons touch events like below. ImageButton imageBtn = (ImageButton) v; if ( imageBtn == buttonOne ) // first button touch ..Log.. else if ( imageBtn == buttonTwo ) ..Log.. else if ( imageBtn == buttonThree ) // first button touch ..Log.. My problem is, as it is under multi touch event handler like above, it does not detect when touch all three button at a time to try to produce multi touch effect, instead it detects only one imagebutton touch at a time even though i touch all three image buttons. As i am developing this project on Android 1.6 SDK, is there any problem accessing my requirement(multi touch) (or) it is a known issue? I am hoping that, when it works for single button touch, why shouldn't it work when clicking three imagebuttons at a time to produce three logs printed as per my above code? How do i resolve it for my case? Please don't question me why i am still developing on 1.6 for such a requirement. Thank you. Appreciate your suggestions !

  I am in the process of porting a script from UT3 to UDK. The script is for class ZOUIFrontEnd_MainMenu extends UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu. I'm getting the following compiler error: C:\UDK\UDK-2010-03\Development\Src\FixIt\Classes\ZOUIFrontEnd_MainMenu.uc(18) : Error, Bad or missing expression in Call to 'OpenSceneByName', parameter 1 The referenced line is as follows: OpenSceneByName(SettingsScene); Okay, so I figured the OpenSceneByName function changed in UDK. Tracing the path of inheritance all the way up to UDKUIScene.uc, I found the definition: function UIScene OpenSceneByName(string SceneToOpen, bool bSkipAnimation=false, optional delegate<OnSceneActivated> SceneDelegate=None) Assuming SettingsScene is a string, everything looks fine, right? So I figured I would find SettingsScene to make sure it's a string. Well doing a search for "SettingsScene" in all files turned up only one other line; UTGameReplicationInfo.uc line 334: UTPC.OpenUIScene(class'UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu'.default.SettingsScene); But UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu doesn't have a SettingsScene variable in it! Just to check, I changed my line of code to match: OpenSceneByName(class'UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu'.default.SettingsScene); And indeed, I get the following compile error now: C:\UDK\UDK-2010-03\Development\Src\FixIt\Classes\ZOUIFrontEnd_MainMenu.uc(18) : Error, Unknown Property 'SettingsScene' in 'Class UTGame.UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu' How does UTGameReplicationInfo.uc successfully compile?
