  Hi, I have build my custom webpart using the visual studio extensions. I want to deploy it. but getting error: No SharePoint Site exists at the specified URL for the solution I have tried to change the "Start browser with URL" from properties of the project in Debug tab. • LAMP Ubuntu installation

  I installed LAMP on Ubuntu 10.04. Now whenever I try to access http://localhost/ I get this message: Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server. Apache/2.2.14 (Ubuntu) Server at localhost Port 80 I tried changing the permissions of the var/www/ folder by clicking ALT-f2, typing in "gksu nautilus" and right clicking the folder and changing the permissions but I still get a 403 forbidden error. Any idea what's going on?

• cannot resolve DNS server's own domain name

  I have a DNS server (mega.dude - 123.123.123.123) running bind 9.4. When I: dig mega.dude I get no answer section. I have nameserver 123.123.123.123 in /etc/resolv.conf Here is my zone file: $TTL 1W @ IN SOA mega.dude. names.mega.dude. I read that it's evil to have an mx record pointing to a CNAME. So I changed that. Then I thought maybe that was also the case for NS. So I changed those too. Still no good. The ports are open. I can't figure it out. Oh by the way, all the other zones return fine. But not the servers own domain. So I know I'm doing something stupid. Thanks for your help all!

• CUPS causes printer to click and doesn't print

  I'm suffering a strange problem with my Cannon iP4850 when trying to use CUPS on a Raspberry Pi (this is not RPi specific, please do not vote to move it). When I plug the printer into my Laptop (OSX) or my Desktop W7 it identifies as a iP4800 and prints perfectly. So I plug it into the Pi (running debian), set it up in CUPS enable sharing and can now see the iP4800 series shared on the network. However if I print to it (using AirPrint etc...); the file gets to CUPS safely (shows in the queue) but when it tries to print the printer clicks (like a loud thunk) 3/4 times and then gives in, with a double amber flashing light. In cups it shows as job completed. Do you know why using the pi and cups would cause what appears to be a hardware fault and what I can do to fix the problem or to provide further debug info? • What is the point of PPPoE?

  I am trying to expand my knowledge of networking beyond the basics. I have started reading about PPP, and how it is used in DSL modems with PPPoE and PPPoA. My first impression of PPP was "well that seems pretty similar to Ethernet". They are both data link layer protocols. They both have fields to identify the encapsulated protocol (e.g. IP). They both have related protocols to assign IP addresses (DHCP and NCP). So my first question was "so what's the point of PPP, why not just use Ethernet?". The answer to that was fairly straightforward - Ethernet is not supported over a wide range of media like serial lines, and is a fairly specific technology to LAN's using CAT5 or similar. HOWEVER - then I was reading about PPPoE, and the obvious thought was "well if we are doing something over Ethernet, then Ethernet must be available and in use, so why not just use it?". In other words, PPPoE seems to be encapsulating one data-link layer protocol in another very similar protocol. Why do IP-inside-PPP-inside-Ethernet when we could just be doing IP-inside-Ethernet, and use DHCP rather than NCP to assign the IP address to the home router? Thanks

  I'm trying to configure ftp over amazon EC2 instance, I've installed vsftpd and did the steps of adding user and modifying the vsftpd.conf file, but I'm getting my service status as ubuntu@ip-10-38-106-212:~$ sudo service vsftpd status vsftpd stop/waiting I've tried to reinstall vsftpd but still getting the same, I've also added the port 20 and 21 in my security group policy to skip the firewall.   [Running Win7 Ultimate 64 bit] My new HP Pavilion Elite HPE-450t has been plagued by BSDO crashes since I got it about 5 weeks ago. The crashes are somewhat rare, sometimes not occurring for 3 or 4 days.   We have a Spring MVC web app (WAR) deploying to Tomcat (6.0.35) that launches a thread inside a separate JVM at deploy time (don't ask why - not my design) and then communicates with that thread via RMI over port 8888.   I use a 640 GB StoreJet Transcend (0x2329) with ZEVO Community Edition 1.1.1 on OS X 10.8.2. Question Is this drive Advanced Format? Background I submitted a request for technical support to Transcend but the first response was gibberish so I don't expect a reasonable follow-up. Models at http://www.transcend-info.com/Products/CatList.asp?LangNo=0&ModNo=293 are similar but different sizes (not 640 GB).   I'm having a problem with libvirt. On a system restart all virtual machines (VMs) are started without a problem and keep running. Then at some point in time a set of machines shuts down according to their log. The problem seems to occurs since the last restart, which was due to a number of package upgrades and a kernel upgrade. I tried booting with the previous kernel, the problem persists. I was not able to pinpoint an exact event when the machines fail, they do it at nearly the same time. The last time a duplicity job was running, this was not always the case however. But i haven't found a way to give live video stream to encoder. i.e. How to make encoder listen to particular UDP port.
