  • Array structure returned by Yii's model

    I am a Yii beginner and am running into a bit of a wall and hope someone will be able to help me get back onto track. I think this might be a fairly straight forward question to the seasoned Yii user. So here goes... In the controller, let's say I run the following call to the model- $variable = Post::model()->findAll(); All works fine and I pass the variable into the view. Here's where I get pretty stuck. The array that is returned in the above query is far more complex than I anticipated and I'm struggling to make sense of it. It doesn't seem to matter what tables or columns or relations are used in your application, they all seem to me to return this format.   • How to track how many times an iPhone app is opened?

    I am building an iphone app and would like to keep track of how many times it has been opened so that I can prompt the user to do certain actions after it has been opened X number of times. I have thought about storing a variable in Core Data which I update every time it is opened, but this seems like a waste since it is a singleton data, not multiple instances of an object. What is the best way to store data like this and access it without slowing down the app opening time?

Since each thread has its own stack, the local variables that are created inside the thread is unique. In this case, why do we need to go for thread specific data mechanism?.
