  I'm able to ssh -i mykey.pem to EC2. I'm able to scp -i mykey.pem to EC2. But when I try to rsync -avz -e "ssh -i mykey.pem" I get this error: Warning: Identity file mykey.pem not accessible: No such file or directory. Permission denied (publickey). rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far) [sender] rsync error: unexplained error (code 255) at io.c(605) [sender=3.0.9] Any suggestions what I've done wrong?

• Unique identifier for an email

  I am writing a C# application which allows users to store emails in a MS SQL Server database. Many times, multiple users will be copied on an email from a customer. If they all try to add the same email to the database, I want to make sure that the email is only added once. MD5 springs to mind as a way to do this. I don't need to worry about malicious tampering, only to make sure that the same email will map to the same hash and that no two emails with different content will map to the same hash. My question really boils down to how one would combine multiple fields into one MD5 (or other) hash value. Some of these fields will have a single value per email (e.g. subject, body, sender email address) while others will have multiple values (varying numbers of attachments, recipients). I want to develop a way of uniquely identifying an email that will be platform and language independent (not based on serialization). Any advice?

• UIScrollView ImageView with pins on top

  To all, I have a UIScrollView which has a UIImageView. I want to show pins on this imageView. When I add pins as subviews of the ImageView everything is great except for when you zoom the scale transform happens on the pins also. I don't want this behavior and want my pins to stay the same. So I choose to add the Pins to another view which sits on top of the ImageView and is also a subview of the UIScrollView. The idea here if you will imagine is to have a layer which hovers over the map and won't scale yet show pins over where I plot them. The pin when added to the layer view don't cale if the ImageView scales. However the issue then bceomes the position of the pins doesn't match the original origin x/y as the ImageView has had a scale transform. Basically this is a custom map of a place with Pins. I am trying to have the Pins float over and not zoom in and out over my ImageView yet remember where I placed them when the zoom happens. I am trying to set latitude & longitude to some JSON string but every time straight after it sets the variable it changes it back to "undefined" as soon as it passes the line after var latitude? (using firebug & firequery to debug)

  Say the user is making a request to the following url: "http://api.example.com/houses/123/abc" That request needs to map to "/webroot/controls/houses.php" and send "123" and "abc" to houses.php as variables without modifying the http headers or body. "houses" could theoretically be anything; cars, boats; and map to the corresponding php file... cars.php, boats.php respectively with a fallback to index.php if there is no match. There can be any number of variables after "houses" ie) "http://api.example.com/houses/1234/abc/zxy/987" I think I already have ALL requests being sent to webroot using: <IfModule mod_reqrite.c> RewriteEngine on RewriteRule ^$ webroot/ [L] RewriteRule (.*) webroot/$1 [L] </IfModule> But now I am at a loss as to how to take the next step as mentioned above. I am no stats wonk, so maybe it makes sense that a LOESS function’s output would match the input as seen in the above example, but it strikes me as being wrong. • R heatmaps - non-text labels?

  I am making a heatmap plot; currently the axes are labeled by index number. However, the index number corresponds to a series of 1/0s, which my group typically represents with a row of filled(1) or unfilled(0) boxes (think chessboard, though not strictly alternating colors). I'd like to use that representation instead of the index numbers. Any suggestions? I've considered simply making the labels as a plot, and positioning that adjacent to the heatmap, but I'm not finding a convenient way to do that either. I will also appreciate answers that are more generically applicable. edit - current code: map <- data.matrix(read.csv("./heatmap.out", header=F, sep=" ")) # ...some clean-up p<-heatmap(map, Rowv=NA, Colv=NA, col=grey(10:0 / 10)) this simply labels the heatmap rows/cols by index number. heatmap.out is raw numeric data.

• Error configuring SQL Reporting Services 2005 on Windows 7

  I've installed SQL Server 2005 with Reporting Services on Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and when I try to configure it when clicking on "Windows Service Identity" I get this error message: There was an error while switching panels. The most likely cause is an error retrieving WMI properties. The exception details are: InvalidArgument=Value of '1' is not valid for 'SelectedIndex'. Parameter name: SelectedIndex Here is a screenshot: EDIT: This problem disappeared after I installed SP3 for SQL Server. I have problems on the next panes though.

• MKMapView not centered on pin

  Hi all, I have an mkmapview that i'm currently adding pins to, but for some reason when I call [mapView setRegion:[detailItem coordinateRegion] animated:YES]; the pin is off-centered (toward the right side of the screen) on the map. Here is the code for [deailItem coordinateRegion]: - (MKCoordinateRegion)coordinateRegion { MKCoordinateRegion region = { {0.0, 0.0 }, { 0.0, 0.0 } }; region.center = self.coordinate; region.span.longitudeDelta = 0.0075f; region.span.latitudeDelta = 0.0075f; return (region); } I'm setting the coordinateRegion's center to the object's x,y coordinate, so why is it off-center on the map? This map is similar to the one that can be sent to the .css() method, except that the range of properties is more restrictive.   I want to delete a certain group of messages from somebody's mailbox. I already have the basic Powershell command ready to go: Get-Mailbox -Identity jshmoe | Export-Mailbox -SubjectKeywords "VirusWarning" -IncludeFolders "\Inbox" -StartDate "02/24/2010" -DeleteContent The problem is that Joe Shmoe's "Inbox" is huge, and I know the messages I want to delete are only in the main Inbox folder. However, the above Powershell command appears to crawl all subfolders beneath "Inbox". Is there a way to tell it not to?

Any suggestions?

  I'm in the brainstorming phase to develop a GPS car tracking system requested by a customer. I myself know the directions to build some GPS system to mobile phones and etc. But sincerely I don't know how to start in that project. That is the scenario: 1) The cars will get a device with a SIM CARD that will emit GPS signals. 2) My customer will in any place (home, work, etc) with a web connection will see in the map where the car is located. For me, I have not problems at get the GPS data, convert to usable info and show the position in some map system (like Google Maps or MS Bing Maps, by example). My problem is, how I do to retrieve that "GPS Signal" from device in the car? I will need some kind of "Receiver Device" connected to a web server machine in order to my application to consume that data? Or "automagically" my sodtware will receive the info from a third-party web-service? Or what?

• Mapping of memory addresses to physical modules in Windows XP

  I plan to run 32-bit Windows XP on a workstation with dual processors, based on Intel's Nehalem microarchitecture, and triple channel RAM. Even though XP is limited to 4 GB of RAM, my understanding is that it will function with more than 4 GB installed, but will only expose 4 GB (or slightly less). My question is: Assuming that 6 GB of RAM is installed in six 1 GB modules, which physical 4 GB will Windows actually map into its address space? In particular: Will it use all six 1 GB modules, taking advantage of all memory channels? (My guess is yes, and that the mapping to individual modules within a group happens in hardware.) Will it map 2 GB of address space to each of the two NUMA nodes (as each processor has it's own memory interface), or will one processor get fast access to 3 GB of RAM, while the other only has 1 GB?   I have an app in J2EE with a couple of projects. Got my .war project that communicates with a EJB business project which has access to some Data. I have an entity which has some information about places, and I want to show a collection of those places in a single map on a JSF page. I have a Collection of coordinates to be assigned as points on a polyline in Google maps, and I've got this collection as a return of a java function of the jsf page, but I dont know how to get this collection from jsf and then how to make the map work I'll be very greatful if someone can give me some jsf code as an example. (and if someone knows how to set the autoReshape attribute for maps in jsf using javascript, please tell me the secret!!!!) Thanks a lot.

• Listing all shared memory segments used by a process on AIX5.3+

  I would like to find all shared memory segments used by a given process. I am especially interested in figuring out the shmid so i can use it in calls to shmctl(). On Solaris i would just read /proc/$PID/map to figure out that information (field pr_shmid). The contents of that file are defined by struct prmap_t in sys/procfs. AIX also has a /proc/$PID/map file. There is also a struct prmap but unfortunately it is missing the pr_shmid field. Any ideas how i can achieve this on AIX5.3+?
