  • c++: see compiled object layout

    Hi, is there a way - much like the way i can see the result of preprocessing when using 'gcc -E' - to see what my objects look like once the compiler compiled them into object files? I am not too good in reading assembler, so an advice to get the results as text would be nice .. or at least a little 'howto read the constructor intructions' or 'howto find the constructor' ... I am talking about gcc/g++, but a solution including msvc would be fine. Thanks!

    I am reading one line at a time from a file, but at the end of each line it adds a '\n'. example: line is: 094 234 hii but my input is: 094 234 hii\n I want to read line by linem but I don't need to keep the newlines... My goal is to read a list from every line: I need ['094','234','hii'], not ['094','234','hii\n'] Any advice?

  • Is Pseudo typing in Erlang the way to get types?

    For example, to denote a String I could use: {string,"hjggjhhggJ"} and a list would be: {list, [1,2,3]} : I guess I have found that I am running into situations where I need types, for example to distinguish between strings and lists and I am not sure how to proceed. I do however want to use whatever technique I choose everywhere in my Erlang application for consistency, and not just for strings and lists. Any advice?

  • Selecting favourites from DB rails 3

    I have a small app which has Users, Recipes, Ingredients and preparation models A user has many recipes, recipes belong to user and ingredients/preparation belongs to recipes. Now a user can view all recipes but I would like the option to add the particular recipe to a favourites list. Would I need to set a new DB to hold this and then link by associations or could I add a column to the recipe model called fav for example? Im looking for the best practice here or if someone has done this before and can offer any advice that would be appreciated

    I have a website with a jQuery UI navigation, and I've got ajax working to dynamically change content between html files. I'm basically just replacing the contents of certain div ids with the contents of other div ids. This still requires numerous HTML files and I was wondering if there was a way to have a single html file and load content into the main page from it instead? What about an xml file?     I want to print out a web page that seems to be unprintable in both Firefox and Chrome. It is multiple pages but when I print it out in Firefox and Chrome, they only print the first page. The only way I have found to print out the page is to print it in IE in XPS Document Writer format. Is there a tool (e.g., web browser or web browser plugin) that will help? Or is there a setting I can use in Firefox or Chrome?
