  • Storing Icons and Sql with PHP

    So I have a simple Apache with MySql I am developing a PHP app. I have Users Table in my DB. I vant to let them store Icons. My question Is what's the best way of attaching such data as icons (100-250kb's) to DB - Is it beter to store them Inside DB or store them as File and some how attaching links to icons into DB. What's the best way? Are there any classes that automate this process (of attaching such data to DB)?

  • Missing AVFoundation.framework

    Hi, AVFoundation.framework is not where the documentation says it should be. I have iPhone SDK 2.2 installed (never had previous sdk versions installed) and I can't find that folder under /System/Library/Frameworks I did find it under /Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/Developer/SDKs/iPhoneOS2.2.sdk/System/Library/Frameworks/ folder but if I add it from that location, then the compiler can't find the header files. I tried copying the entire AVFoundation.framework folder to /System/Library/Framework, but it still can't find the header files. How can I use AVFoundation classes? Thanks, Alex

  • SQL Server: avoiding hard coding of database name in cross-database views

    So, lets say you have two SQL Server Databases on the same server that reference each others tables in their Views, Functions and Stored Procedures. You know, things like this: use database_foo create view spaghetti as select f.col1, c.col2 from fusilli f inner join database_bar.dbo.conchigli c on f.id = c.id (I know that cross-database views are not very good practice, but lets just say you're stuck with it) Are there any good techniques to avoid 'hard coding' the database names? (So that should you need to occasionally re-point to a different database - for testing perhaps - you don't need to edit loads of views, fns, sps) I'm interested in SQL 2005 or SQL 2008 solutions. In other words, I want to make this: $ java test@py [additional cp args] work. The intent: writing Python code and not having to give away source code.

    Hi, I have a ListBox bound to an ObservableCollection with an ItemTemplate that contains another ListBox. First of all, I tried to get the last selected item of all the listboxes (either the parent and the inner ones) from my MainWindowViewModel this way: public object SelectedItem { get { return this.selectedItem; } set { this.selectedItem = value; base.NotifyPropertyChanged("SelectedItem"); } } So, for example, in the DataTemplate of the items of the parent ListBox I've got this: <ListBox ItemsSource="{Binding Tails}" SelectedItem="{Binding Path=DataContext.SelectedItem, RelativeSource={RelativeSource FindAncestor, AncestorType={x:Type Window}}}"/> The problem now, is that when I select an item from the parent ListBox and then an item from a child listbox, I get this: http://i40.tinypic.com/j7bvig.jpg As you can see, two items are selected at the same time.     I want a class property to be reference to another class, not its object and then use this property to call the class's static methods. class Database { private static $log; public static function addLog($LogClass) { self::$log = $LogClass; } public static function log() { self::$log::write(); // seems not possible to write it like this } } any suggestions how i can accomplish this? cause i have no reason making them objects, i want to use the classes for it.

QUESTION: Is there any reason in fact I should use an abstract class here as opposed to just a normal class? Note - Have already decided I do not want to use interfaces as I want to include actual default methods in my library so the client using it doesn't have to write the code.

  • Objective-C initial values of created C-array

    I create an array, similar to classic C (not NSArray or one of it's children) - something like BOOL i[5];. And I want to make all its values to be equal to NO. First of all, I didn't found any information about initial values of such arrays (I know that in classic C they will be undefined, but don't know exactly about Objective-C. I found info about classes and its inner data [after allocation, without initialization], but not about simple data types). And the second, if I should set array values manually - should I use memset(...); or something different? To prevent possible questions... I want to use this construction as array of temporary boolean flags and don't think that it is proved to use something like NSArray here.

Is there any way we can get the list of fans so we can display it as we want and can apply css? Or check given user is fan of page?

  • Vague MVC and Castle Windsor question. Sorry...

    I have inheritted some code in which the MVC Controller classes all get their constructors called by Castle....DefaultProxyFactory.Create() somewhere along the line (the call stack drops out to the , which isn't helping.) So, basically, how would I go about finding out where Castle is being told how to call the constructors of my Controllers? I am very new to Castle, Windsor and MicroKernel, etc, and not a master of ASP's MVC. Many thanks for any pointers - sorry about the vagueness, Matt.

  • Git push over http (using git-http-backend) and Apache is not working

    I have desperately been trying to get push for git working through the "smart-http" mode using git-http-backend. However after many hours of testing and troubleshooting, I am still left with error: Cannot access URL http://localhost/git/hello.git/, return code 22 fatal: git-http-push failed` I am using latest versions of Ubuntu (12.04), Apache2 (2.2.22) and Git (1.7.9.5) and have followed different tutorials found on the Internet, like this one http://www.parallelsymmetry.com/howto/git.jsp. My VHost file currently looks like this: <VirtualHost *:80> SetEnv GIT_PROJECT_ROOT /var/www/git SetEnv GIT_HTTP_EXPORT_ALL SetEnv REMOTE_USER=$REDIRECT_REMOTE_USER DocumentRoot /var/www/git ScriptAliasMatch \ "(?x)^/(.*?)\.git/(HEAD | \ info/refs | \ objects/info/[^/]+ | \ git-(upload|receive)-pack)$" \ /usr/lib/git-core/git-http-backend/$1/$2 <Directory /var/www/git> Options +ExecCGI +SymLinksIfOwnerMatch -MultiViews AllowOverride None Order allow,deny allow from all </Directory> </VirtualHost> I have changed the ownership of the /var/www/git folder to root.www-data and for my test repositories I have enabled anonymous push by doing git config http.receivepack true.     I've found that in order to use PRISM's classes in XAML you need to import namespace in that way: xmlns:cal="http://www.codeplex.com/CompositeWPF" this way is new to me, so I wanted to know, how hyperlink could be alias of usual notation of namespace import? so the intellisence knows in which assembly it should search this component?
