  • IE8 disappearing image bug

    In IE8 (& maybe others), when I leave my page to go to another tab in IE and then come back to my page's tab, each time the cursor runs over an image it disappears until I refresh the page. I've heard of disappearing image bugs, but I couldn't find anything on this particular case, especially given this isn't a weird pre-IE8 bug. I am using a lightbox, so possibly something to do with javascript? http://dev.bwmsnow.co.nz/snowboarding

  • Django - problem with {% url facebook_xd_receiver %}

    I'm using {% url facebook_xd_receiver %} in one of my HTML files. This works just fine when I run my project using the command python manage.py runserver But the same project stops running and gives me a "TemplateSyntaxError" at the line {% url facebook_xd_receiver %} Can anyone please tell me what could be the difference between the dev server run through the command line and the apache server. Is there anything I'm missing out on while configuring the Apache server? Or is it a Django problem?

    I have a root view controller with no nib file, I tried adding this at cellForRowAtIndexPath as that passes in a UITableView as tableView. So I put : tableView = [[UITableView alloc] initWithFrame:self.view.frame style:UITableViewStyleGrouped]; It ran with no error but it didnt seem to change anything.

    Hi all, I have some files that in windows enable me to prompt messages when a device is plugged. In case it is lost it pops up a message that says the user to please return it to he owner. Does anybody know how can I do this in Linux? I doesnt need to be a complex thing, it can be an option in a right clic menu, or a splashcreen, or anything, just to make sure that the owner of the device may be looking for it.

    I "accidentally" came across this weird but valid syntax i=3 print i+++i #outputs 6 print i+++++i #outputs 6 print i+-+i #outputs 0 print i+--+i #outputs 6 (for every even no: of minus symbol, it outputs 6 else 0, why?) Does this do anything useful? Update (Don't take it the wrong way..I love python): One of Python's principle says There should be one-- and preferably only one --obvious way to do it. In future, I may also add web interface, and I don't want to change anything in my application.   • About the armlink behavior when the linked object is not explicitly used by the main executable

    I want to link the example with liba.so, and also the example is NOT using anything inside the liba.so ... armlink --userlibpath /mylib/lib liba.so --fpic --shared -o example main.o demo.o So finally I got nothing from: readelf -d example | grep NEEDED, it seems that armlink do some optimization to remove the linked library which is not really used by the "example" ? If I want to let the liba.so be always linked into example, what need I do with armlink options ? Any information is very appreciated ;)

    Is there a command-line tool that could tell me if Gzip is on? What I'm looking for is something that can say the stream coming from the server is really gzipped even if the header params say Gzip:1 (which it could be falsely placing in the headers). I don't see a switch in curl, or wget, or tcpdump, or anything, but maybe I'm just missing something, or perhaps there is something else that could provide me this bit of information? Any help would be appreciated.

    Per the documentation, String.Format will throw a FormatException if either (A) the format string is invalid or (B) the format string contains an index that cannot be found in the args array.   • Blittable Vs. Non-Blittable in IL

    I'm trying to make sure that my Managed to Unmanaged calls are optimized. Is there a quick way to see by looking at the IL if any non-blittable types have accidentally gotten into my pinvoke calls? I tried just writing two unmanaged functions in a .dll, one that uses bool (which is non-blittable) and one that uses ints. But I didn't see anything different when looking at the IL to let me know that it was doing something extra to marshal the bool.
