• Unable to create context rendering error whet run OpenGL application

  Hello, I try to run Mesa gears example and I get following error: freeglut (./gears): Unable to create direct context rendering for window 'Gears' This may hurt performance. though the application runs successfully, but I guess that in future I will have much problems with productivity. I run Linux CentOS 5 on WMvare 7. • phpize: m4 error just in one extension

  On Linux, I installed php 5.3.8 from source. Using phpize for installing an extension works fine but not on one specific extension (mysqlnd). # cd /opt/php/5.3.8/ext/pdo && /opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize ... this runs ok # cd /opt/php/5.3.8/ext/mysqlnd && /opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize Cannot find config.m4. Make sure that you run '/opt/php/5.3.8/bin/phpize' in the top level source directory of the module` As you can see error can not be that I am not on top level source directory since I am. I tried to call phpize from ext folder - did not work either! For info I have m4 installed Any idea? Thanks :)

• windows Home Server backup error

  I've finally built my WHS, but some other problems have showed up. I've googled, binged and searched SU with no success. The problem is following: at the moment I've got a Win7 laptop and Win7 PC, which should be backed up by the WHS. Laptop is backed up just fine with no issues, but when I try to manually backup the PC, after "backup is starting" message, when backup service should be monitoring changes on partitions, PC gets disconnected from the home network and thus, the backup process is stuck. Disabling/enabling network adapter gets PC back on the network. The only thing I've tried was reinstalling connector software. no success. Also, I've downloaded connector troubleshooter and only thing it says is "DHCP server was not found". I'm not good with networks, so I couldn't figure out what could that indicate (all computers in the network are assigned static IPs). Any ideas what the problem can be? I can provide any additional information, I'm just not sure what may be helpful right now. Thanks.

I selected the option to retain other partitions and to delete only c drive. • Unexpected Access Denied error while accessing EFS encrypted file

  I am getting Access Denied error when I try to access some files. ACL is OK, all ACE's all intherited, I have full access to these files and I am the owner of these files. ACE's are exactly same as other files in the same directory which are accessible without problems (doublechecked through Security Tab on file properties and cacls command). Files are EFS encrypted, however I should have access to these files, because they were encrypted by the same user account I am trying to access (decrypt) them. EFS settings are exactly same as other files in the same directory which are also encrypted and accessible without problems (doublechecked through cipher command and efsdump command (SysInternals)). In ProcMon utility (SysInternals) I am getting Access Denied entry while accessing these files. Files are not used (locked), checked by Unlocker utility. Up to now, I tought I understand NTFS ACL's and EFS mechanisms fairly well, but now I am completely stuck and I do not know how to access these files. Any thoughts?

• Firebox Edge 11 and SBS 2008 VPN produces error 721

  My VPN has stopped working. I have sbs 2008 and have run the VPN wizard. I have opened the port 1723 on my firebox edge as it instructed me to do. It was working but I think that an upgrade of the firebox software to version 11 has affected it. The port is still open. When connecting I get to verifying username and password then I get Error 721. Not sure whats wrong here. can anyone help?

• Error in Apache: /var/run/apache2 not found

  This is more self-answered question but since it drove me crazy I would like to share with the community and maybe someone can tell me why it happened or what it caused. The thing is I wanted to install in my Ubuntu 10.4 machine a CGI app, one built in the samples that come with the gSOAP toolkit. My intention was to access those from ASP .NET machine. Regular Ubuntu does not come with Apache so I install it from Sypnatic. Pretty easy. I followed this How to Install Apache2 webserver with PHP,CGI and Perl Support in Ubuntu Server. Instead of apache.conf I tweaked httpd.conf since a college here used that file instead of the first to put his Apache running. Besides I was able to access his CGI from my ASP .NET but mysteriously I could not from mine, I was getting always "The request failed with HTTP status 503: Service Temporarily Unavailable". Checking Apache error.log I found these messages: No such file or directory: unable to connect to cgi daemon after multiple tries: /home/julen/htdocs/cgi-bin/calcserver And looking more carefully whenever I restarted Apache I got this other message No such file or directory: Couldn't bind unix domain socket /var/run/apache2/cgisock. cgid daemon failed to initialize I am pretty new with Ubuntu and I could not think that Apache and Synaptic made a mistake in the installation process of the server, but it is true that the /var/run/apache2 was missing whereas in my college's computer was not. I tried to find and "elegant" solution but I found a post from 2006 that had an slight reference to it. Finally I decided to create the folder myself (as root) and then everything worked fine. Hope this helps others if they encounter a similar problem. Still I have the doubt why the folders was not created in the first place. Best, Julen.

• Mac Disk-Utility input/output error

  a couple of other people have posted about this but my specific problem has not been addressed. For months I have been backing up DVDs and home movies with no problem then all of a sudden I get an "input/output" error. Yes I have cleaned the disks. Actually I have tried 8 different ones - they are not all bad so its obviously my computer. I have done a scan and cleaned up the HD a bit just in case but nothing is helping. I don't want to download other programs since this one works but seems to be having a problem. Any ideas?

  I have an .rpm, which I created. In its %post part, I do some stuff, and in the end of this script, i call service httpd restart. It gives the following error: + service httpd restart Stopping httpd: [FAILED] Starting httpd: (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address [::]:81 (98)Address already in use: make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:81 no listening sockets available, shutting down Unable to open logs [FAILED] I got this from the rpm verbose installing (-vv). So I know its about httpd restart itself, nothing else. The according to netstat only one process (httpd) is listening on port 81. $ sudo netstat -nlp | grep 81 tcp 0 0 :::81 :::* LISTEN 29670/httpd I don't understand, why running http FAILS at stop, and FAILS again in start. Any ideas how to solve this?

Searching on the internet I've found that WMIC is the tool required but there seems to be a problem with the setup of WMI on the server. • Exchange MSExchangeIS Mailbox Store Error

  Boss asked me to check to see if I could figure out why he's had to restart the services on the Exchange server three mornings in a row now. While going through the system logs I ran across an error from the MSExchangeIs Mailbox Store, category General, Event 9690. The message said (edited to make generalized): Exchange store 'First Storage Group\Mailbox Store (Servername)': The logical size of this database (the logical size equals the physical size of the .edb file and the .stm file minus the logical free space in each) is 22GB. This database size has exceeded the size limit of 22 GB. This database will be dismounted immediately. Hmm...happened at five in the morning, and I'm thinking this is a pretty good hint that this leads to the culprit. Thing is I'm not an Exchange expert, so I'm still googling around to figure out how to fix the problem. Any better guidance out there? Or am I barking up the wrong binary tree? Exchange System Manager reports that the server is "version 6.5 build 7638.2, SP2", standard, which I believe is Exchange 2003. It's running on Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard, SP2.

• insert system disk error after switchting SATA cables

  I have 5 hard disks built in my computer, two connected by IDE cables, three by SATA. Today I had to return two of the SATA cables to my room mate. So I grabbed another one I had floating around and connected the remaining disk by unplugging my DVD R/W. Now I receive the 'insert system disk and press enter' error after booting. Disks and cables seem to be fine, since all the disks are recognized in the BIOS. Also, I can mount the disks using a live CD w/o problems. I also tried different orderings of the cables (i.e. plugging the disks in different plugs on the mainboard), I'm not sure if that even matters using SATA. Any Ideas what might be the problem here? The OS installed are Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10, the bootloader installed is GRUB. PS: No RAID involved, JBOD.

• GitLab Unicorn Service crashes all the time, 502 Error

  I used the Installer of Gitlab CE and so far everything looks well. Then when finished the installation I always got 502 Error on my website, since then I did a little research, then I saw that my gitlab service unicorn restarts/crashes every 10 seconds, so I assume this is the reason why I get 502, but I don't know why it crashes all the time. How can I prevent this? • ADFS 2.0 and CRM 2011 IFD - Error 403 when being redirected

  I'm not sure what happened here, but let me give you the rundown. I have a CRM 2011 IFD that by all accounts was functioning. Out of nowhere, I find that when being redirected to ADFS 2.0 login page by CRM, instead of seeing the login page, I get the following error: 403 - Forbidden: Access is denied. You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied. I'm not sure what is going on here. The certs are good, as best as I can tell, the logins are good. More specifically, nothing has been modified. This all worked just fine, and now it doesn't. I'm really stumped.

  I have an nfs-kernel-server configured and running on Ubuntu 10.04 Server. /export THIRD_SERVER_IP(rw,fsid=0,insecure,no_subtree_check,async) SECOND_SERVER_IP(rw,fsid=0,insecure,no_subtree_check,async) /export/ebs THIRD_SERVER_IP(rw,fsid=0,insecure,no_subtree_check,async) SECOND_SERVER_IP(rw,nohide,insecure,no_subtree_check,async) I mounted the exported folder to the second server: mount -t nfs4 -o proto=tcp,port=2049 NFS_SERVER_IP_HERE:/ebs /ebs and it works just fine. • Windows 7 VPN Error 619

  So I am running Windows 7 Enterprise. This morning I was able to VPN using the built in VPN (Connect to Work Network etc). I had to change my network's IP address range and now the VPN will not work. It just stalls on the Verifying user name and password... message. But then it returns the 619 error. Anybody know why changing my machine's IP address would cause this problem? Where should I be looking to try and fix this issue? I have tried this on a Windows XP machine that also had the IP address range change and this still connects fine using exactly the same connection details. EDIT The internal network range changed from 192.x.x.x to 10.x.x.x. This was done on the entire Active Directory. All machines are running fine and the Windows XP machine, that works going to the same client VPN mentioned above is on the same network. Both the XP and the Win 7 machines are using DHCP served by the Domain Controller. The client domain is not performing any IP range checks/restrictions. The VPN is outside the internal network, connection is being made via the Internet and not passing through any other machine, other than the normal domain machines, ie DNS etc. This is passing through a router and the router has the relevant VPN passthrough options configured. All internal machines are working correctly with other forms of VPN, ie Cisco, Sonic etc (these were tested on other machines, they are not installed on the Vista or Win7 machines). After further testing, this is occurring on all Win7 and Vista machines where they can no longer connect to the client VPN, however all XP machines can still connect fine. This has been tested on three Vista, two Win7 and five XP machines. All machines are on DHCP and tests have been done with both the firewalls turned on and off, as well as with fixed IPs being used.   I'm trying to backup a bunch of MyISAM tables in a way that would allow me to rsync/rdiff the backup directory to a remote location. I've came up with a script that dumps only the recently changed tables and sets the date of the file so that rsync can pick up only the changed ones, but now I don't know how to do the error handling - I would like the script to exit with a non 0 value if there are errors. • grub crc error after decompressing linux

  Hi, I have a debian with a raid1 on it. Both HDDs have bootable flags and grub setup in MBR. If I only start up with sda, linux boots. If I only start up with sdb, grub shows up and says Decompressing Linux... crc error -- System halted I have reinstalled grub a few times now but still nothing. It goes like this: /dev/md0 contains /dev/sda1 /dev/sdb1 find /boot/grub/stage1 shows (hd0,1) (hd0,1) The line that boots Linux shows: root (hd0,0) kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.26-1-686 initrd /initrd.img-2.6.26-1-686 This kind of renders my "redundant" array useless. Any clues? update: just to mention, these are 2 different HDDs, sda is 320gb and sdb is 400gb. Both are WD and both have exactly the same partitions, cloned using sfdisk.

• ORA-01019 error only as an administrator

  I'm having a strange problem. I've installed the Oracle 10g client on a terminal server running Windows Server 2008R2. When I try to connect to Oracle, using, say, Toad, I receive the error "ORA-01019 unable to allocate memory in the user side". But this only happens if I'm logged in as an administrator. If I connect as a normal user, I can connect without issue. Also -- if a normal user is connected, I can then connect without a problem as an administrator. Any thoughts?

• Error- D:\ is not accessible. Access is denied

  All of the sudden the D drive gives me an error when I try to open it: D:\ is not accessible. Access is denied. I have files on the drive that I would like to recover, so I do not want to reformat the drive. It acts almost like the computer doesn't recognize the drive. I have a feeling it's something with security settings, I may have accidentally changed something on the drive. I'm running on a Acer Aspire laptop on Windows Vista, SP2. I beleive both the C and the D drive run off of the same disk drive. At least that's all the Device Manager shows. So correct me if I'm wrong, but that would make it a partitioned drive.
