  • .NET Programmatically invoke screenclick doesn't work?

    - by ropstah
I'm trying to programmatically invoke an onclick event however the click is not received/handled. Am I missing something, or is security preventing the click to be executed? I have a forms application which is invisible. Basically I would like to say: DoDoubleClick(wait, x, y) This should raise two click (mousedown+mouseup) events on screen with the specified wait interval. However the click isn't received in a Flash application in Firefox (which is running at that moment). Here's my code: Form: Public Class Form1 Private WithEvents gmh As GlobalMouseHook Private Sub Form1_Load(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load gmh = New GlobalMouseHook() Me.Visible = false gmh.DoDoubleClick(50, 800, 600) End Sub Private Sub Form1_FormClosed(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.FormClosedEventArgs) Handles MyBase.FormClosed gmh.Dispose() End Sub Private Sub gmh_MouseDown(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles gmh.MouseDown End Sub Private Sub gmh_MouseMove(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles gmh.MouseMove End Sub Private Sub gmh_MouseUp(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.Windows.Forms.MouseEventArgs) Handles gmh.MouseUp End Sub End Class GlobalMouseHook class: Friend Class GlobalMouseHook Implements IDisposable Private hhk As IntPtr = IntPtr.Zero Private disposedValue As Boolean = False Public Event MouseDown As MouseEventHandler Public Event MouseUp As MouseEventHandler Public Event MouseMove As MouseEventHandler Public Sub New() Hook() End Sub Private Sub Hook() Dim hInstance As IntPtr = LoadLibrary("User32") hhk = SetWindowsHookEx(WH_MOUSE_LL, AddressOf Me.HookProc, hInstance, 0) End Sub Private Sub Unhook() UnhookWindowsHookEx(hhk) End Sub Public Sub DoDoubleClick(ByVal wait As Integer, ByVal x As Integer, ByVal y As Integer) RaiseEvent MouseDown(Me, New MouseEventArgs(MouseButtons.Left, 1, x, y, 0)) RaiseEvent MouseUp(Me, Nothing) System.Threading.Thread.Sleep(wait) RaiseEvent MouseDown(Me, New MouseEventArgs(MouseButtons.Left, 1, x, y, 0)) RaiseEvent MouseUp(Me, Nothing) End Sub Private Function HookProc(ByVal nCode As Integer, ByVal wParam As UInteger, ByRef lParam As MSLLHOOKSTRUCT) As Integer If nCode >= 0 Then Select Case wParam Case WM_LBUTTONDOWN RaiseEvent MouseDown(Me, New MouseEventArgs(MouseButtons.Left, 0, lParam.pt.x, lParam.pt.y, 0)) Case WM_RBUTTONDOWN RaiseEvent MouseDown(Me, New MouseEventArgs(MouseButtons.Right, 0, lParam.pt.x, lParam.pt.y, 0)) Case WM_MBUTTONDOWN RaiseEvent MouseDown(Me, New MouseEventArgs(MouseButtons.Middle, 0, lParam.pt.x, lParam.pt.y, 0)) Case WM_LBUTTONUP, WM_RBUTTONUP, WM_MBUTTONUP RaiseEvent MouseUp(Nothing, Nothing) Case WM_MOUSEMOVE RaiseEvent MouseMove(Nothing, Nothing) Case WM_MOUSEWHEEL, WM_MOUSEHWHEEL Case Else Console.WriteLine(wParam) End Select End If Return CallNextHookEx(hhk, nCode, wParam, lParam) End Function Private Structure API_POINT Public x As Integer Public y As Integer End Structure Private Structure MSLLHOOKSTRUCT Public pt As API_POINT Public mouseData As UInteger Public flags As UInteger Public time As UInteger Public dwExtraInfo As IntPtr End Structure Private Const WM_MOUSEWHEEL As UInteger = &H20A Private Const WM_MOUSEHWHEEL As UInteger = &H20E Private Const WM_MOUSEMOVE As UInteger = &H200 Private Const WM_LBUTTONDOWN As UInteger = &H201 Private Const WM_LBUTTONUP As UInteger = &H202 Private Const WM_MBUTTONDOWN As UInteger = &H207 Private Const WM_MBUTTONUP As UInteger = &H208 Private Const WM_RBUTTONDOWN As UInteger = &H204 Private Const WM_RBUTTONUP As UInteger = &H205 Private Const WH_MOUSE_LL As Integer = 14 Private Delegate Function LowLevelMouseHookProc(ByVal nCode As Integer, ByVal wParam As UInteger, ByRef lParam As MSLLHOOKSTRUCT) As Integer Private Declare Auto Function LoadLibrary Lib "kernel32" (ByVal lpFileName As String) As IntPtr Private Declare Auto Function SetWindowsHookEx Lib "user32.dll" (ByVal idHook As Integer, ByVal lpfn As LowLevelMouseHookProc, ByVal hInstance As IntPtr, ByVal dwThreadId As UInteger) As IntPtr Private Declare Function CallNextHookEx Lib "user32" (ByVal hhk As IntPtr, ByVal nCode As Integer, ByVal wParam As UInteger, ByRef lParam As MSLLHOOKSTRUCT) As Integer Private Declare Function UnhookWindowsHookEx Lib "user32" (ByVal hhk As IntPtr) As Boolean ' IDisposable Protected Overridable Sub Dispose(ByVal disposing As Boolean) If Not Me.disposedValue Then If disposing Then ' TODO: free other state (managed objects). • iPhone:How to make an integer array and store values in Obj-C?

    - by user187532
Hi, I want to know a simple thing, which i couldn't get it is that i want to store 10 values in an integer array dynamically and then i have to check that stored values and compared with the current values whether it is same or not in some other condition. Initially i tried same like C array, int temp[10], but seems to be that is not possible to set and get method, then i tried NSNumber like below, In AppDelagate file, NSMutableArray *reqID; @property (nonatomic, readwrite) NSMutableArray * reqID; @synthesize reqID; ........................ ........................ ........................ In Some other file, int rd = (1+arc4random() % [arr count]); [myDelagate.reqID addObject:[NSNumber numberWithUnsignedInteger:rd]]; then i need to check, for (int i=0; i<10; i++) { NSUInteger anInt = [[amyDelagate.reqID objectAtIndex:i] unsignedIntegerValue]; if ( anInt==rd ) { rd = (1+arc4random() % [arr count]); break; } } [myDelagate.reqID addObject:[NSNumber numberWithUnsignedInteger:rd]]; But it doesn' work as expected, i.e array value doesn't give proper value. i don't know how to use integer array in Obj-C and handle it to access later etc. Could someone please explian me?

  • Is it a good idea to use an integer column for storing US ZIP codes in a database?

    - by Yadyn
From first glance, it would appear I have two basic choices for storing ZIP codes in a database table: Text (probably most common), i.e. char(5) or varchar(9) to support +4 extension Numeric, i.e. 32-bit integer Both would satisfy the requirements of the data, if we assume that there are no international concerns. In the past we've generally just gone the text route, but I was wondering if anyone does the opposite? Just from brief comparison it looks like the integer method has two clear advantages: It is, by means of its nature, automatically limited to numerics only (whereas without validation the text style could store letters and such which are not, to my knowledge, ever valid in a ZIP code). This doesn't mean we could/would/should forgo validating user input as normal, though! It takes less space, being 4 bytes (which should be plenty even for 9-digit ZIP codes) instead of 5 or 9 bytes. Also, it seems like it wouldn't hurt display output much. It is trivial to slap a ToString() on a numeric value, use simple string manipulation to insert a hyphen or space or whatever for the +4 extension, and use string formatting to restore leading zeroes. Is there anything that would discourage using int as a datatype for US-only ZIP codes?

  • How to map string keys to unique integer IDs?

    - by Marek
I have some data that comes regularily as a dump from a data souce with a string natural key that is long (up to 60 characters) and not relevant to the end user. I am using this key in a url. This makes urls too long and user unfriendly. I would like to transform the string keys into integers with the following requirements: The source dataset will change over time. The ID should be: non negative integer unique and constant even if the set of input keys changes preferrably reversible back to key (not a strong requirement) The database is rebuilt from scratch every time so I can not remember the already assigned IDs and match the new data set to existing IDs and generate sequential IDs for the added keys. There are currently around 30000 distinct keys and the set is constantly growing. How to implement a function that will map string keys to integer IDs? What I have thought about: 1. Built-in string.GetHashCode: ID(key) = Math.Abs(key.GetHashCode()) is not guaranteed to be unique (not reversible) 1.1 "Re-hashing" the built-in GetHashCode until a unique ID is generated to prevent collisions. existing IDs may change if something colliding is added to the beginning of the input data set 2. a perfect hashing function I am not sure if this can generate constant IDs if the set of inputs changes (not reversible) 3. translate to base 36/64/?? does not shorten the long keys enough What are the other options?

  • What is the best way to create a running integer id on the AppEngine data storage?

    - by Freed
For various reasons, I need a unique running integer id for my entities stored on the Google AppEngine. The automatically generated key sort of has this behaviour, but it doesn't start from 1 (or 0) and doesn't guarantee that the generated integer part will come from a continuous sequence. What would be the best way to efficiently implement this on AppEngine? Is there any support from the storage system? To add to the complexity, I might need to do this over entities from different entity groups, meaning I can't just get the highest id right now and save an entity with the next id in a transaction. Might memcache be the way to go..? Edit: I havn't yet implemented this, but to clarify on the memcache idea. I know memcache is unreliable, but in practice it probably won't lose data "too often" to hurt performance. Basically, I would have a memcache entry for the last used id, update it (somehow atomically) whenever I create a new entity and use that id. In the case of memcache not having a value for this entry, I'd get the highest id so far by doing a query on my entities sorted by the id and update memcache (unless someone else had already done so). The only problem I can see with this right now would be atomicity of the operation as a whole if the save of my new entity was also part of a transaction. Thoughts..?

  • Nullpointerexcption & abrupt IOStream closure with inheritence and subclasses

    - by user1401652
A brief background before so we can communicate on the same wave length. I've had about 8-10 university courses on programming from data structure, to one on all languages, to specific ones such as java & c++. I'm a bit rusty because i usually take 2-3 month breaks from coding. This is a personal project that I started thinking of two years back. Okay down to the details, and a specific question, I'm having problems with my mutator functions. It seems to be that I am trying to access a private variable incorrectly. The question is, am I nesting my classes too much and trying to mutate a base class variable the incorrect way. If so point me in the way of the correct literature, or confirm this is my problem so I can restudy this information. Thanks package GroceryReceiptProgram; import java.io.*; import java.util.Vector; public class Date { private int hour, minute, day, month, year; Date() { try { BufferedReader keyboard = new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in)); System.out.println("What's the hour? • How does Java handle ArrayList refrerences and assignments?

    - by Jonathan
Hey all- I mostly write in C but am using Java for this project. I want to know what Java is doing here under the hood. ArrayList<Integer> prevRow, currRow; currRow = new ArrayList<Integer>(); for(i =0; i < numRows; i++){ prevRow = currRow; currRow.clear(); currRow.addAll(aBunchOfItems); } Is the prevRow = currRow line copying the list or does prevRow now point to the same list as currRow? If prevRow points to the same list as currRow, I should create a new ArrayList instead of clearing.... private ArrayList<Integer> someFunction(ArrayList<Integer> l){ Collections.sort(l); return l; } main(){ ArrayList<Integer> list = new ArrayList<Integer>(Integer(3), Integer(2), Integer(1)); list = someFunction(list); //Option 1 someFunction(list); //Option 2 } In a similar question, do Option 1 and Option 2 do the same thing in the above code? Thanks- Jonathan

  • Why should the "prime-based" hashcode implmentation be used instead of the "naive" one?

    - by Wilhelm
I have seen that a prime number implmentation of the GetHashCode function is being recommend, for example here. However using the following code (in VB, sorry), it seems as if that implementation gives the same hash density as a "naive" xor implementation. If the density is the same, I would suppose there is the same probability of cllision in both implementations. Am I missing anything on why is the prime approach preferred? I am supossing that if the hash code is a byte I do not lose generality for the integer case. Sub Main() Dim XorHashes(255) As Integer Dim PrimeHashes(255) As Integer For i = 0 To 255 For j = 0 To 255 For k = 0 To 255 XorHashes(GetXorHash(i, j, k)) += 1 PrimeHashes(GetPrimeHash(i, j, k)) += 1 Next Next Next For i = 0 To 255 Console.WriteLine("{0}: {1}, {2}", i, XorHashes(i), PrimeHashes(i)) Next Console.ReadKey() End Sub Public Function GetXorHash(ByVal valueOne As Integer, ByVal valueTwo As Integer, ByVal valueThree As Integer) As Byte Return CByte((valueOne Xor valueTwo Xor valueThree) Mod 256) End Function Public Function GetPrimeHash(ByVal valueOne As Integer, ByVal valueTwo As Integer, ByVal valueThree As Integer) As Byte Dim TempHash = 17 TempHash = 31 * TempHash + valueOne TempHash = 31 * TempHash + valueTwo TempHash = 31 * TempHash + valueThree Return CByte(TempHash Mod 256) End Function

  • Add a new element to a SortedSet

    - by arjacsoh
Can someone explain me why this code compiles and runs fine, despite the fact that SortedSet is an interface and not a concrete class: public static void main(String[] args) { Integer[] nums = {4, 7, 8, 14, 45, 33}; List<Integer> numList = Arrays.asList(nums); TreeSet<Integer> numSet = new TreeSet<Integer>(); numSet.addAll(numList); SortedSet<Integer> sSet = numSet.subSet(5, 20); sSet.add(17); System.out.println(sSet); } It prints normally the result: [7, 8, 14, 17] Furthermore, my wonder is heightened by the fact that the SortedSet cannot be instansiated (expectedly). This line does not compile: SortedSet<Integer> sSet = new SortedSet<Integer>(); However, if I try the code: public static void main(String[] args) { Integer[] nums = {4, 7, 8, 14, 45, 33}; List<Integer> numList = Arrays.asList(nums); numList.add(56); System.out.println(numList); } it throws an UnsupportedOperationException. I reckon, this comes from the fact that List is an interface and cannot be handled as a concrete class. What is true about SortedSet?

  • Why is my quick sort so slow?

    - by user513075
    Hello, I am practicing writing sorting algorithms as part of some interview preparation, and I am wondering if anybody can help me spot why this quick sort is not very fast? It appears to have the correct runtime complexity, but it is slower than my merge sort by a constant factor of about 2. I would also appreciate any comments that would improve my code that don't necessarily answer the question. Thanks a lot for your help! Please don't hesitate to let me know if I have made any etiquette mistakes. This is my first question here. private class QuickSort implements Sort { @Override public int[] sortItems(int[] ts) { List<Integer> toSort = new ArrayList<Integer>(); for (int i : ts) { toSort.add(i); } toSort = partition(toSort); int[] ret = new int[ts.length]; for (int i = 0; i < toSort.size(); i++) { ret[i] = toSort.get(i); } return ret; } private List<Integer> partition(List<Integer> toSort) { if (toSort.size() <= 1) return toSort; int pivotIndex = myRandom.nextInt(toSort.size()); Integer pivot = toSort.get(pivotIndex); toSort.remove(pivotIndex); List<Integer> left = new ArrayList<Integer>(); List<Integer> right = new ArrayList<Integer>(); for (int i : toSort) { if (i > pivot) right.add(i); else left.add(i); } left = partition(left); right = partition(right); left.add(pivot); left.addAll(right); return left; } }

Theoretically this should do the trick: [Files] Source: "GameuxInstallHelper.dll"; DestDir: "{app}"; Flags: ignoreversion overwritereadonly; [Registry] Root: HKLM; Subkey: SOFTWARE\dir\dir; Flags: uninsdeletekeyifempty Root: HKLM; Subkey: SOFTWARE\dir\dir; ValueName: Path; ValueType: String; ValueData: {app}; Flags: uninsdeletekey Root: HKLM; Subkey: SOFTWARE\dir\dir; ValueName: AppFile; ValueType: String; ValueData:{app}\executable.exe ; Flags: uninsdeletekey [CustomMessages] en.Local=en en.removemsg=Do you wish to remove game saves and settings? en.taskentry=Play [Code] const PlayTask = 0; AllUsers = 2; Current = 3; type TGUID = record Data1: Cardinal; Data2, Data3: Word; Data4: array [0..7] of char; end; var GUID: TGUID; function GetDC(HWND: DWord): DWord; external '[email protected] stdcall'; function GetDeviceCaps(DC: DWord; Index: Integer): Integer; external '[email protected] stdcall'; function ReleaseDC(HWND: DWord;DC: DWord): Integer; external '[email protected] stdcall'; function ShowWindow(hWnd: DWord; nCmdShow: Integer): boolean; external '[email protected] stdcall'; function SetWindowLong(hWnd: DWord; nIndex: Integer; dwNewLong: Longint):Longint; external '[email protected] stdcall'; function GenerateGUID(var GUID: TGUID): Cardinal; external 'GenerateGUID@files:GameuxInstallHelper.dll stdcall setuponly'; function AddToGameExplorer(Binary: String; Path: String; InstallType: Integer; var GUID: TGUID): Cardinal; external 'AddToGameExplorerW@files:GameuxInstallHelper.dll stdcall setuponly'; function CreateTask(InstallType: Integer; var GUID: TGUID; TaskType: Integer; TaskNumber: Integer; TaskName: String; Binary: String; Parameters: String): Cardinal; external 'CreateTaskW@files:GameuxInstallHelper.dll stdcall setuponly'; function RetrieveGUIDForApplication(Binary: String; var GUID: TGUID): Cardinal; external 'RetrieveGUIDForApplicationW@{app}\GameuxInstallHelper.dll stdcall uninstallonly'; function RemoveFromGameExplorer(var GUID: TGUID): Cardinal; external 'RemoveFromGameExplorer@{app}\GameuxInstallHelper.dll stdcall uninstallonly'; function RemoveTasks(var GUID: TGUID): Cardinal; external 'RemoveTasks@{app}\GameuxInstallHelper.dll stdcall uninstallonly'; function InitializeSetup(): Boolean; var appath: string; ResultCode: Integer; begin if RegKeyExists(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, 'SOFTWARE\dir\dir') then begin RegQueryStringValue(HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, 'SOFTWARE\dir\dir', 'Path', appath) Exec((appath +'\unins000.exe'), '', '', SW_SHOW, ewWaitUntilTerminated, ResultCode) end else begin Result := TRUE end; end; procedure CurUninstallStepChanged(CurUninstallStep: TUninstallStep); begin if CurUninstallStep = usUninstall then begin if GetWindowsVersion shr 24 > 5 then begin RetrieveGUIDForApplication(ExpandConstant('{app}\AWL_Release.dll'), GUID); RemoveFromGameExplorer(GUID); RemoveTasks(GUID); UnloadDll(ExpandConstant('{app}\GameuxInstallHelper.dll')); end; end; if CurUninstallStep = usPostUninstall then begin if MsgBox(ExpandConstant('{cm:removemsg}'), mbConfirmation, MB_YESNO)=IDYES then begin DelTree(ExpandConstant('{app}'), True, True, True); end; end; end; procedure CurStepChanged(CurStep: TSetupStep); begin if GetWindowsVersion shr 24 > 5 then begin if CurStep = ssInstall then GenerateGUID(GUID); if CurStep = ssPostInstall then begin AddToGameExplorer(ExpandConstant('{app}\AWL_Release.dll'), ExpandConstant('{app}'), Current, GUID); CreateTask(3, GUID, PlayTask, 0, ExpandConstant('{cm:taskentry}'), ExpandConstant('{app}\executable.exe'), ''); CreateTask(3, GUID, 1, 0, 'Game Website', 'http://www.gamewebsite.com/', ''); end; end; end; The installer works just fine, but it doesn't place a shortcut of my game to Games explorer. Since i believe that the problem is on the binary file i guess for that part i should ask for some help. So, can anyone please give me a hand here?

  • redimension multidimensional arrays in Excel VBA [migrated]

    - by user147178
Take a look at the following code. What my problem is is that I can't figure out how to redimension the n integer and the b integer. What I'm doing is the array sent1 is already working and it is populated with about 4 sentences. I need to go through each sentence and work on it but I'm having trouble. dim sent1() dim sent2() dim n as integer, b as integer, x as integer dim temp_sent as string b = 0 For n = 1 to ubound(sent1) temp_sent = sent1(n) for x = 1 to len(temp_sent1) code if a then b = b + 1 THIS IS THE PART OF THE CODE THAT IS NOT WORKING redim preserve sent2(1 to ubound(sent1), b) sent2(n,b) = [code] next next

  • In Rails, how should I implement a Status field for a Tasks app - integer or enum?

    - by Doug
For a Rails 3.0 Todo app, I have a Tasks model with a Status field. What's the best way to store the Status field data (field type) and still display a human-readable version in a view (HTML table)? Status can be: 0 = Normal 1 = Active 2 = Completed Right now I have this: Rails Schema Here: create_table "tasks", :force = true do |t| t.integer "status", :limit = 1, :default = 0, :null = false Rails Model Here: class Task < ActiveRecord::Base validates_inclusion_of :status, :in => 0..2, :message => "{{value}} must be 0, 1, or 2" Rails View Here: <h1>Listing tasks</h1> <table> <tr> <th>Status</th> <th>Name</th> <th></th> <th></th> <th></th> </tr> <% @tasks.each do |task| %> <tr> <td><%= task.status %></td> <td><%= task.name %></td> <td><%= link_to 'Show', task %></td> <td><%= link_to 'Edit', edit_task_path(task) %></td> <td><%= link_to 'Delete', task, :confirm => 'Are you sure?', :method => :delete %></td> </tr> <% end %> </table> Requirements Store a Task's status in the db such that the values are easily localizable, i.e. I'm not sure I want to store "normal", "active", "completed" as a string field. Solution must work with Rails 3.0. Questions: Should I store the field as an integer (see above)? If so, how do I display the correct human readable status in an HTML table in my Rails view, e.g. show "Active" instead of "1" in the HTML table. Should I use an enum? If so, is this easy to localize later? Should I use straight strings, e.g. "Normal", "Active", "Completed" Can you provide a quick code sample of the view helper, controller or view code to make this work?

  • How to force Json.Net to put an integer value into a string field?

    - by Earlz
Hello, in using Json.Net I have a class like this class Foo{ public string name; public string value; } and I have a JSON string that looks like this: [{"name": "some name","value": "1"}] The problem with this is that Json.Net detects "1" as being an integer(due to ambiguities with JSON) and will refuse to put it into the string value of Foo How can I override this behavior so that it will put the string "1" into value?

  • Parameterizing a SQL IN clause on an integer column?

    - by SkippyFire
Jeff Atwood asked the original question about parameterizing a SQL IN clause, but I want to do this with an integer column. If I try the code from the original post I get the following exception, which makes sense: Conversion failed when converting the varchar value '%|' to data type int. Anyone try this before?
